Derick sits in silence and watches Edward's every move. He doesn't say a word but he is also not missing one single movement. I remember how very sad Derick was every time he had to think about Edward's death. Thinking about it now, makes me feel like Edward is a heartless bastard. Everyone had so much respect for him. How could he do this to so many people?
"Please just let me see my daughter." Edward asks again.
"We can let you see her." Derick says in a slow old voice. "We just need to finalise a few things first." Derick says with his arms crossed over his chest. "The way you taught us."
The moment Derick says these words the expression on Edward's face changes. He knows how he use to do business and somehow, he doesn't want that method to be applied to him. I watch the men at the table intently as they each nod and agree with Derick.
Edward sits back. He doesn't like what he is hearing.
