Ch - 2 A Favor

" That bastard is getting married !!"
I didn't really understand what she meant to express by that , so I simply asked " So what am I supposed to do ? "
She then with tears in her eyes explained " I don't know what to do now ! I thought he knew my feelings for him, we have known each other for so long that's why I thought my upspoken feelings were already known to him . " , She broke down into tears and continued ," But today he tells me that he is getting married with his girlfriend next month . At first I thought that he was kidding because I never heard of his girlfriend before and then he tells me that he is been dating someone secretly for months now . He didn't tell me about it because his girlfriend didn't want anyone to know . "
I was like what ? To be honest I didn't have a single idea about the situation . The only thing I understood was that Drake was getting married to his girlfriend . I had no clue that Olivia liked Drake . They have hanging out together for years now so I assumed they were only friends .
Being unsure of what to say, I just commented, " ummm... So now , what ? "
" What do you mean by 'what ' ?" she cried . " I want you to kill that girl ! "
" Have you gone mad ? ", I exclaimed , " you need to clam down , come sit here " I gestured my hand wanting her to sit beside me . She slowly came and sat down , tears were still rolling down her eyes .
Calmly I said " Did you ever confess your feelings towards him ? "
" no "
" Then how come you are expecting that he will reciprocate your feelings ? You need grow up now , you are already 20 ! ", I tried to console her although I knew that I wasn't good at it .
" I had never imagined this was going to happen ! ", she said and was still crying .
I had no more words to say , what can I say in this situation . I put her head on my shoulder and let her cry because atleast I knew that how good crying can be .
With weak voice she spoke up , " I just want him , I can't live without him . I just want him "
The word I feared the most was WANT . Olivia won't let anything go once she wants it . She developed this 'wanting' habit of hers even more after mom and dad passed away . When they passed way , everyday Olivia used cry and shout that she wanted them to keep company with her but she couldn't get them . From then on she started becoming more and more stubborn . I knew that this habit of hers wasn't a good thing but I failed at stopping her , it was partially my fault .
" See sweetheart , in our lives everything doesn't go the way we want . You have to understand it now ! You have already entered the adult society , right ? " I said . I was trying to use soft words to make her understand because I knew harsh words won't work on her .
" No matter how many sweet words you use I won't change my mind . You think I am stupid that I will fall for your honey trap " , she yelled at me .
" I am not trying to trap , I am telling you to understand the situation for your betterment ! " , I said showing sincere concern .
But when I looked into her eyes , I easily understood that she was not even a bit convinced . Then she got up , left my room and went into hers . I was concerned about her. I looked at the clock and realised that it was already time for my part time job .
I had multiple part time jobs because I knew that the money our parents left with us was neither enough for me to pursue my dream nor to fulfill Olivia 's dream . I have always wanted to become a doctor , it's my childhood dream . And Olivia was always into makeup and stuffs . She wanted to study cosmetology and get a proper degree in it . Although I didn't know much about that profession but I still supported her , and I also knew that fees for her course was pretty high . So after completing high school I started working as a part timer to save money , I have been working at three places . While I was working , Olivia also didn't waste time ,after completing her high school she started a beauty and makeup related YouTube channel . Although it was not much popular but still it earned her some money .
Today after seeing Olivia like that , I didn't want to leave for work . I was worried about her but I didn't want to skip the work too because the café I worked at paid me a pretty high salary and the work was less there. This year I was thinking of starting my college studies . It's already been 5 years since I graduated . I didn't want to waste anymore years and I already had money to pay my tuition .
So I got ready and left for work . Before leaving I checked on Olivia , she was siting on her bed with a emotionless face , I didn't bother her and just told her that I was leaving . She looked at me and gave me a little smile . To be honest I was a little scared seeing her smile like that.
