Salgurish was still kneeling before Azazel and staring at him with evident fear in his eyes.
Salgurish decided to answer Arishem’s question about him running after feeling Arishem’s power,
“I fled because I didn’t want to die at your hands but at that of your father’s even though I know I won’t win”, Azazel was amused after listening to what Salgurish had said.
Arishem was also surprised because he hadn’t expected Salgurish to admit that he was ready to be defeated by Azazel.
“I will pledge my loyalty, but I want to battle against you Azazel,” said Salgurish.
“I accept your battle challenge “ replied Azazel, Arishem and Magnus could technically see overconfidence written all over Azazel’s face.
Salgurish stood and was about to take his stance when he heard Azazel speak.
“Wait, the battle will be held in hell’s fighting pits, you didn’t expect us to be the only ones witnessing the fights now did you”? and Salgurish was amused by Azazel’s teased full gaze.
All demons from every rank, from Giant species to lowly reapers were gathered to witness this battle between their master and the one responsible for killing Azazel’s wife and mistress of hell.
“I bet master Azazel can’t wait to crush the bony skull of that Salgurish” cackled one of the reapers named Vanquish.
“How many souls did you collect today Vanquish” asked a demon beside him.
“I collected five thousand” replied Vanquish in his cracky voice.
“Then hope you don’t end up being collected too” threatened the demon beside Vanquish who was non other than Terozat.
Gatekeeper and Flamer on the other hand were having a heated argument on who was going to win the battle.
“Master Azazel will win, he always has” said Flamer.
“Well I don’t think so because Salgurish seems as powerful as Master if not more powerful” argued Gatekeeper.
Flamer was about replying, when they all heard the voice of Azazel, and as though all the demons were never speaking, everyone quietened down.
“Salgurish the murderer of hell’s Mistress, mother of the Prince of Hell and wife of Azazel the king of hell, has decided to battle against master Azazel till death.
If he wins he will be master of hell forever and of course if he looses, he looses to death at the hands of master Azazel” announced Azazel.
Salgurish came in and stood on the fighting pit made of black clouds while Azazel just flew down to the fighting pit without a sound of his wings.
Azazel stared at Salgurish and the moment Flamer uttered “fight” the mode of Azazel changed to that of when he was in actual battle with his eyes a jeweled black, a calm demeanor on his delicate face and his hands holding each other behind him.
Salgurish struck the first attack with his claws trying to dig into Azazel, which the latter effortlessly dodged and that ended up with Salgurish’s hand getting stuck in one of the skulls hung on the wall.
Out of rage of not being able to claw Azazel, Salgurish struck him with lightening fire from the tips of his fingers.
“I told you he is just as powerful as Master Azazel” said Gatekeeper to Flamer, Flamer just smirked because he knew what was going to happen next.
“Next time, when you want to burn the devil know the type of fire to use” said Azazel to Salgurish as he was in flames and in the next second, Azazel sucked the flames into his body and Salgurish was too slow to deflect the next attack as Azazel stabbed him with one of his daggers dipped in blood.
“Till today, I didn’t know lightening fire doesn’t affect master” said Gatekeeper with evident surprise on his face.
Terozat could now also understand why Azazel never bothered to fight Salgurish, it was because Salgurish was beneath him.
Salgurish was still recovering from Azazel’s previous attack when he caught sight of the contained madness in Azazel’s gaze.
It was frightful thought Salgurish.
He moved a bit and then summoned his black whip, then flung it at Azazel which the master of hell deflected with a molten rod he had created out of thin air.
Salgurish was about apparating behind Azazel when Azazel caught hold of his shadow and vanquished it.
All the demons of hell were stunned including Salgurish because they never knew Azazel had the power to destroy the shadow and still making the body exist.
Magnus and Arishem had been watching the entire battle between Azazel and Salgurish and no doubt Azazel was far stronger.
Magnus was just waiting for his best part, when Azazel vanquishes a soul is always incredibly dramatic.
Salgurish could see Azazel’s void dagger heading straight to his heart to vanquish his soul then he thought it was better to pledge his loyalty to Azazel than cease to exist.
And with that he uttered,
“I pledge my loyalty to you Azazel” and with that Azazel stopped the dagger from piercing Salgurish’s dark heart.
Terozat was surprised that his master Salgurish actually just swore his loyalty to Azazel and also lost to Azazel.
From then on Terozat made plans to start searching for a new master to vanquish Azazel.
Back in Dorne, Elena was searching all over for Arishem and she couldn’t find him so she began panicking thinking someone had taken her son.
Levi had also heard the news, so he sent out guards to look for Arishem within the kingdom, and in the castle.
Back in hell, Azazel was seating on his throne with a triumphant smirk lingering on his face.
He knew Salgurish was going to swear loyalty to him because there was nothing everyone feared more than ceasing to exist.
Arishem walked over to Azazel and told him he had to go home now because he was sure his mother Elena was already panicking or crying and the last thing he needed right now, was to see or hear his mother cry.
Azazel hated the fact that he had to send Arishem back to earth, to his mortal parents.
If he could, he would have killed Levi and Elena but due to the love Arishem had for them, and he didn’t want to have problems with his son.
Terozat was back in Salgurish’s hell hole and most importantly, he was there to choose a new person to vanquish Azazel permanently from the face of earth and the underworld.
