Perfect Family?

"Susu, now is not the time to act mischievously. You two already slept together. What if you get pregnant? A child cannot be without a father and should have a perfect family." Zin Leung frowned and tried to talk Susu into agreeing with the marriage.

She looked him in the eye without a trace of sorrow, "Dad, if I end up having a child, then I'll have one. Who says a child has to have a perfect family? Mom died since my birth and you tried to give me a perfect family. At the end, not only was this far from being perfect, I suffered from years of abuse. Having an image of a perfect family may not necessarily make it a happy one."

Zin Leung sighed and reached for her shoulders, but was once again avoided by her, "Susu, it's all father's fault, but this is something that you shouldn't joke around about. Tian Yuo gritted his teeth, bent down and swiped a stray lock of hair that was covering Karen's forehead, "Karen, listen to me. The wedding won't happen. I won't go. I will ever marry anyone other than you, especially someone as disgusting as her."

Karen looked at him with tears in her eyes, tugging his heart strings tremendously, "Brother Yuo...but you and sister did sleep together. If that's the case... maybe father is right. We aren't meant to be together. You should marry sister instead. She's really pitiful."

"Karen, you can't be so naive and silly. It is her fault that things turned out this way. I promised to marry you and love you, so I will do everything to make it happen. I won't care about what my parents say and will only marry you. Wait for me, okay? I'll come back for you." Tian Yuo kissed her forehead and ran out of the house.

Before he left, he hadn't forgotten to give Susu a disdainful look. Unlike her usual hurt expression, she stood with her back straight and emitted a confident aura that he had never seen before. 'she wasn't kidding when she said she didn't want to marry me. But wasn't she always in love with me? She wouldn't give up that easily...so could it be that she only wanted to ruin my relationship with Karen?'

After Tian Yuo stomped out of the house, Susu followed, but instead of large steps, she took her time. Liang Yu Qing lost the strength to scream on top of her lungs when she saw Susu leaving. She lost all hope when she heard her husband announce that both families have decided to marry Susu and Tian Yuo together. 'It's over! I wanted Karen to marry him to gain all the benefits and money. It's all over if Susu marries him...'

When Susu walked out of the house, she giggled at seeing Chen Mu sitting on the cold floor looking like he had just seen a ghost, "What are you doing?" She held out her hand to help him up.

He looked at her as if his soul had wandered out of his body and she brought him back to life. His hands felt her warm palms and a goofy smile appeared on his face, "I... was definitely not eavesdropping...ahaha..."

"Uh huuuuh, then young master Chen Mu, eavesdropping comes with a price." With their hands still interlocked, she dragged him towards his car.

"Price?" His eyes and mind were focused on their connected hands. He could care less about any price that she lists out.

"Mhmm... Let's get some fluffy pancakes with Strawberries on top. Your treat~" Seeing her cheerful smile, he unlocked his car and chuckled, "Sure. Anything and anywhere you want."

Back in Yin residence, Karen went back to her room feeling extremely satisfied with the results of tonight's discussion. She prepared a vanilla scented bubble bath and blasted her favorite music on the speakers.

She mumbled to herself as the loud lyrics covered her voice, "Just as planned. Yin Susu.. even if you marry Tian Yuo, his heart would never be yours. Heh, when I come back, I'll still be Mrs. Tian and you would be a used rag that nobody would ever want to pick up. Your miserable life has just begun.'

After her bath, Karen went online and booked tickets to Paris. She grinned evilly at her screen after the successful transaction notification popped up.

Karen took out her rose stationery set and began writing a letter to Tian Yuo. After she was done writing, the empty suitcase by her bedside was the next thing on her to-do list. Quickly, she went through her walk-in closet, chose her favorite designer outfits, and stuffed it into the suitcase.
