I Want To Be Queen

"You know more than me, baby girl." an older woman's voice said to little Abidemi. The little girl looked up from the book and then at the woman beside her. Both of them were sitting on the huge bed as the sick woman smiled weakly at her.  She looked just like the little girl but her hair was whitish blue and her eyes were bluish white. "Even so, I do find it interesting that you picked the language of the Elov royal family."

Abidemi blinked before looking at the book. "Is that weird?"

The woman shook her head as she pulled the girl close. "No dear. Everyone in the Elov kingdom should know the language of the royal family."

"Father thinks it's weird." Abidemi said. The woman sighed. 

"Don't listen to your father." the woman said in a flat tone. Abidemi blinked as she looked up at her mother. "He doesn't know what he's talking about sometimes."
