CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED TWENTY ONE

Feifei looked at Yuan's serious face as his heart skipped a beat.

Yuan will not tell him this just to scare him. Things must have gotten tricky.

Feifei pulled down Yuan's head as he stood on tiptoes. Then he kissed Yuan's forehead.

"I will listen to you." Feifei solemnly vowed.

Yuan smiled.

"Come let's go to town. What will you buy?"

Feifei smiled brightly at Yuan.

"Meat. You can never go wrong with meat." He laughed softly.

Yuan chuckled as he held Feifei's hand.

"Would all of your family be together?"

"Yes. Two of my sisters and Leilei's husband. Leilei is the one next to me followed by Fanfan."

"How about their children?"

"They have no kids yet."

"I see." Feifei wanted to ask more. As typical of him. But he doesn't want to sound gossipy. Well, he loves to ask questions and he is always curious but...

Feifei looked up at Yuan's apathetic, expressionless face.

He doubt Yuan loves to talk about things like these.

Yuan looked down at Feifei feeling his eyes on him. Seeing Feifei's curious face and twinkling eyes, Yuan can't help but hug one hand around his waist as he pulled him closer to his body.

"Leilei has been married for five years. I don't know the circumstances of her marriage. All I know is that she had three successive miscarriages and she never got pregnant after the last one. The last miscarriage almost cost her, her life."

Feifei stared at Yuan with amazement and gave him a thumbs up!

Why did Yuan say he is not a mind reader? He clearly is one!

Feifei scrutinized Yuan with a penetrating gaze. Is Yuan pulling his leg again?

Seeing Feifei's wary eyes, Yuan laughed as he kissed the top of Feifei's head.

"I don't need to be a mind reader to know what's on your mind. Your curiosity is written all over your face."

Not a mind reader but he kept on guessing his thoughts?! Is he that transparent? Really?!

"Is it?" Feifei asked with great hesitation. A bit reluctant to believe Yuan's explanation.

"uhm."

Yuan faced Feifei and hugged him close to his body.

"Baby, close your eyes. You may feel a little dizzy and disoriented for a bit. Like your being sucked down by a force. Or you may feel a little uncomfortable with buzzing sounds on your ears."

Feifei tilted his head. Not understanding. But he still dutifully closed his eyes.

Yuan kissed Feifei's lips. He can see Feifei doesn't understand what he is trying to say. But he just complied with his wishes with no questions asked.

Looking down at Feifei's closed eyes, he is very happy and satisfied on Feifei's complete trust in him.

Seeing Feifei is all good, Yuan's lips moved for awhile, muttering something under his breath.

Then they were gone in a blink.

From where they previously stood, only air and nothingness remained.

"You can now open your eyes."

When Feifei next opened his eyes, he was utterly speechless!

"W...what...!"

Isn't this Yuan's bedroom in his townhouse?!

Feifei looked at Yuan inexplicably. Wonder and worship radiating from his eyes!

Feifei then jumped into Yuan's arms and hooked his arms around his neck. Very excited and happy.

"Yuan you are so amazing! How I wish I can travel like this too! I would certainly shop all over the place and dine at the most famous restaurants all over the kingdom! Each day would have to be different from the day before. I have to try all cuisines! And buy herbs everywhere!"

Yuan's lips twitched when he heard Feifei's prattle.

But he just patiently listened as Feifei talk at length about whatever he wants and however way he wanted it.

He just nodded slightly as his eyes turned gentle with obvious indulgence.

As always, he is helpless against Feifei. What else can he do?

Yuan dragged Feifei to the bed as he sat down and placed Feifei on his lap.

Then he silently listened with apt attention at Feifei's inconsequential talks and would immediately nod his head when its time to nod his head.

But truthfully, he doesn't understand anything about what Feifei is muttering. He talks about shopping and dining and herbs.

What does he know about it?

Anyway, all he has to do is just to be alert and respond in a timely manner with the right responses. And Feifei will let him off the hook.

When Feifei was done with his long speeches, Yuan secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Baby, let's go to the market now?" Yuan hurriedly reminded Feifei of their agenda for the day.

Lest Feifei would find another topic of his interest to talk about. Then it will be never ending.

Feifei's eyes widen in alarm. He almost forgot the purpose of his coming to town!

Feifei smiled at Yuan in embarrassment.

Yuan just chuckled and held his hand in his.

Not commenting nor complaining.

"We haven't eaten lunch yet. Let's eat first?"

"Okay."

"Then after lunch, let's go to the Market."

"Okay."

After lunch, with no further delay, they went hand in hand to the Market.

Yuan held Feifei with one hand while the other is holding a basket.

Feifei wanted to grab the basket from Yuan but Yuan insisted on holding it. Feifei just feel its a shame for Yuan, a handsome and very imposing man, to hold such a crude basket.

"You don't look good carrying a basket. Your very manly and the basket just...I don't know. Somehow it feels off." Feifei laughed softly.

Feifei looked around and noticed that others who see Yuan would cringe while majority of them, their mouth would fall open in shock and incredibility. Some would even rub their eyes as if what they are seeing is just an apparition of some kind. Or a trick.

Maybe because they never thought the Devil can be as mundane as them?

Feifei studied Yuan's aloof and cold indifferent face.

"People will think your not that scary anymore. Your reputation will flip."

Yuan just smiled and hooked Feifei's neck as he kissed the top of his head.

"I don't care about what others say about me. What I only care about is you and what you feel about me."

Feifei held Yuan's shirt as he raised his head and smiled brightly at him.

This man is too good to be true. And he got lucky!! Feifei is laughing smugly in his heart.

"I want to buy lots of meat. Let's skewer the meat on bamboo sticks and cook them over coal."

"Okay."

When they walked around the Market, Feifei saw legs of lamb.

"Would mutton be good?" Feifei muttered.

"uhm."

So they ended up buying four legs of lamb weighing over 15 pounds. Feifei plans to make soup out of the bones. It would be good!

"Let's marinade the meat and stew the bones. When the meat absorbs the sauce and you cook it over coal..hmmmm! Its going to be heavenly!" Feifei exclaimed excitedly.

A corner of Yuan's lips turned up as he stroked Feifei's hair fondly.

So they walked around some more and bought charcoal and spices.

When they were done buying what Feifei thinks they need, they returned to Yuan's townhouse.

"You said you will marinade the meat?" Yuan asked.

"Yes. The meat has to be soaked at least a couple of hours. Enough time for the meat to draw all those sauce into itself."

"Can you do that here? Let's go home together after I get off work."

Feifei pursed his mouth as he considered Yuan's proposal.

"I need bamboo sticks. I was planning to go at the back mountain to gather some."

"No need. I will ask someone to do that for you."

Feifei raised his brow.

"Wouldn't that be troublesome?"

"No."

"If you say so."

Yuan smiled.

"Baby, Its time for me to go back to work."

"Okay. I will wait for you."

When he heard Feifei's words, Yuan's eyes brightened for a moment before it was replaced with its usual coldness.

Yuan gently pulled Feifei's hand to move his body closer to his.

"Come kiss me, goodbye." Yuan whispered.

Feifei wrapped his arms around Yuan's waist and offered his mouth to Yuan.

Yuan leaned down as he kissed Feifei with a passion that left Feifei breathless. The kiss was hot and wet.

And Feifei was thoroughly kissed.

Yuan smiled as he left his townhouse.

Yuan couldn't be more happy. He now has his home to return to.

His home is where Feifei is.
