7 Chapter 7: Assassination Under The Moonlight

It is night. Most of the lights are being turned off at this time in the city. So it's a perfect time to do it. A ninja can be seen jumping on the roofs of buildings. It's Roy, wearing his Ninja Gear. As well as wearing black clothing, a crimson scarf, fingerless gauntlets, and lightweight metallic armor on his arms and legs.

Roy is jumping buildings and buildings. Holding a box, that he can't open because he's ordered not to. Roy stops and looks at the map on his phone.

"I'm getting close.", Roy said as he hops another one.

Soon enough, the target place is in his sight. It's a hotel, and the one that Roy needs to give the box is on the top floor. The hotel has a hundred floors. Roy puts his phone in his pocket and starts jumping to get to the second-highest building in the area.

"I should do this quick. I don't want to create attention by doing this.", Roy muttered to himself.

After that, he jumps towards the hotel. At first, it seems like he's falling but he isn't planning to die this way. Roy breathes in and out quickly as he starts to descend.

"Rocket Legs.", Roy muttered.

Roy's legs start to be engulfed in flames and wind, and he starts flying towards the top of the hotel. When Roy reaches the top, he deactivates his ki and he sticks the landing. Roy looks around and sees that he's in a private pool filled with hot babes and beefy bodyguards. They're all staring at Roy. Suddenly he's surrounded by bodyguards, holding guns at Roy. Roy holds the handle of the Demonic Saber that is on his back.

"Wait! Hold on! Drop your guns.", a rich fat man appeared.

They drop their guns and Roy removes his hand on the sword.

"Are you Chiba Akihiro?", Roy asked.

"Yes.", they answered.

Roy gives the box to him.

"It's from Mr. Daichi.", Roy said.

"Oooh! Goody! I can finally taste what American Bacon is like.", Mr. Chiba rejoiced.

"Thank yo-", but by that time he finished his words, Roy was gone.

"He is a ninja alright.", Mr. Chiba said as he turns around.

Roy receives a text message from the principal while he's heading back home.

He opens it and it says:

"I got a text from Mr. Chiba. Good job. Go home and sleep. That will be all for tonight."

Roy looks at the time on his phone.

"10:57 pm. I'll probably be home at 11:20 pm.", Roy said to himself.

Later.....

Roy's jumping tree branches after tree branches. He's in the forest because it's much faster to travel by. Roy suddenly gets a call on his phone. It's Odaka. Roy picks up the phone while he's jumping.

"Hello?", Roy answered it.

"Roy, where are you?", Odaka asked.

"I'm just exploring the city.", Roy lied.

Roy never tells his brothers about the deal he made. So he makes up an excuse.

"I just want to know more about this city. I may explore more in these few days. Can you please keep this a secret from the rest.", Roy added to his lies.

"Hmmm. Alright fine. But you better be back here before 12.", Odaka replied.

"Alright. I got it-"

Suddenly a bunch of violet-colored dark spears appears out of nowhere and is heading towards Roy. Roy twirls midair, dodging all of the spears. He then lands on the ground.

"I'll call you back. Jumping while calling can be really dangerous.", Roy said.

"Oh. Alright. Bye-", Roy hung up.

Roy then puts his phone in his pocket, which has a zipper so he zips it. He then grabs the handle of the Demonic Saber and pulls it slowly. He then goes near to the one who did that, and since he can sense both magic and ki, it's a piece of cake to locate where his Assassin is.

"Seems like you've got a knack of finding where your enemy is.", a feminine voice can be heard in the area.

After that, someone appears behind a tree and slowly walks toward Roy. They're still underneath the shadow of a tree. So he couldn't see clearly their face. Roy sighs.

"Would you rather fight me with your clone or what?", Roy asked.

A gasp can be heard. Roy points his sword in a certain direction.

"Come out already... I don't have all night.", Roy tries to make his enemy reveal herself.

The said clone puffs up in smoke, and the real Assassin finally shows herself.

"My my, it seems like you can locate magic. Only a few ninjas can do that.", they said.

"...", Roy said nothing.

"Like the Ultimate Ninja. In which case, I wanna ask you. Are you the Ultimate Ninja?", she asked sadistically.

The Assassin puts herself under the moonlight and reveals that she is wearing a mask. Covering her identity. The only thing that isn't covered in her mouth. Her hair color is between black and violet. She has a spear sheath on her back. She's wearing a dark violet and revealing ninja gear. Even showing her huge bosoms, big behind, and even her thick thighs. What she's wearing can make any normal man drop their jaw. Too bad Roy isn't a normal man. Roy tightens the scarf that is on his neck and tightens his grip on the Demonic Saber.

"Come on. Don't ignore me. Girls hate being ignored. Answer my question.", she whined seductively.

"I'm not the Ultimate Ninja. I no longer am.", Roy answered.

"I see. Now I know why you came here. You were escaping your past, aren't you?", she asked another question.

"I don't care if you're interested in my past. Let me just give you just 1 warning...", Roy said.

Roy gets in a fighting stance. Giving an intimidating glare at his Assassin.

"Fight me and you'll get an intimate relationship with the ground.", Roy threatened.

"HeheheheHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!", she laughed maniacally.

"This shall be interesting. Let's see if you have more stamina to outlast me as you declared.", she added.

She then grabs the spear that is attached to her back and pulls it slowly, and then she licks the tip of it and smiles devilishly. Roy doesn't move nor react. She then gets in position.

'Judging by the position she's in. She's gonna lunge at me.', Roy predicted her moves.

Roy changes his stance to a defensive one, and just like Roy predicts, the Assassin lets out a growl and charges at Roy full force. Roy blocks the attack, locking his sword to her spear. They stare each other down. Both have fire in their eyes, but Roy's strength is too much for her, so she backs up. Then she charges at Roy again. Attack after attack. The Assassin is on the offense while Roy's doing defense. Roy, however, doesn't move too much to block her attacks, unlike his Assassin who seems to be sweating a bit.

Roy then switches defense to offense. Roy makes the ground, that she's on, ice. Making her almost slip on it. Roy then skates toward her and kneed her on the stomach, knocking her back and onto the ground. Her confidence slowly disappears. But not completely.

The Assassin stands up. Then removes one of her hands from her spear and shoves it in between her breast. The moment Roy sees this, he pushes her away by stomping on the ground, making a stone pillar grow out of the ground in the direction of hitting her. Creating distances between them. She jumps back because of this. A kunai is soon revealed when she pulls out her hand.

She grins. Then she throws the kunai in the air and hits it with the spear, like a tennis racket hitting a tennis ball. Roy charges in, blocking it using his weapon. The Assassin jumps in the air and starts throwing kunai after kunai. Roy stands in place and blocks them all. All of the kunais are scattered around Roy. Creating a crappy circle surrounding him.

The Assassin lands gracefully on the ground and begins smiling. Roy goes back to his stance upon seeing this.

"HeheheHAHAHAHA!!!", she maniacally laughed again.

Roy is confused by this. Seeing her laugh as if she already has won makes him think.

'Didn't she know that I outclass her? If so, why is she laughing?', Roy asked questions to himself.

"It seems like you haven't figured it out. I'll give you a hint, look at the kunais closely.", she points.

Roy looks at it. He then realizes that a paper with something written on it is attached to it. To all of it. Every single kunai surrounding Roy has some sort of spell written on the papers. Roy realizes all too late and tries to move.

"It's too late! Fear of the Dark: Ultimate move, Consuming Darkness!", she chanted.

The surrounding kunais start glowing and the ground Roy's standing on turns black. Darker than the night itself. Roy's feet then sunken in. It isn't fast. It isn't painful. It's something like a Quicksand, except it's a hundred times more deadly.

The Assassin cackles in like she already won, but the battle isn't over yet. In fact, Roy isn't panicking because he knows that's the last thing he needs to do. Panicking won't help so he keeps his mind cool. Roy looks at the kunais surrounding him again. Formulating a way to escape. Then he looks at her.

"What would happen if I knocked one of the kunai down?", Roy asked calmly.

"Well, then my attack would be canceled. But I wouldn't do that if I were you. Especially when your footsies are in it.", she said boastfully and laughs afterward.

"Thank you for the info.", Roy said as he grabs a shuriken in one of his pockets.

The Assassin is shocked by this but Roy ignores it and proceeds to throw it at one of the kunai. It hits and falls off. Just like what the Assassin said, the dark ground begins to disappear. Starting from the kunais and towards the center of it

Roy grips his sword with both hands and stabs the solid ground that has appeared and begins pulling himself out of the black hole. Launching himself on the air.

"But that's impossible!!", the Assassin exclaimed in shock.

"Impossible for amateurs, but not for me.", Roy said as he throws shurikens at her.

The Assassin backs away, dodging all of it. Follows by Roy landing on the dirt. Roy can see her teeth grit. He can see her frustration. She then gets to position and tightly grabs her spear. She's putting dark magic into it and soon the spear darkens.

"Might as well do the same thing.", Roy said.

Roy gets to stance and holds the Demonic Saber with both of his hands and starts pumping fire ki within it. The sword begins to be engulfed in flames. Upon seeing this, Roy's Assassin then gets into position to throw her spear. Roy doesn't move as he's already ready for her next attack. She then throws her spear but didn't let it go. Suddenly a dark-like spear shoots out of the tip of the spear and targets Roy.

"Shadow Spear!", she yelled.

Roy raises his arm to defend himself using the armor he has on it, but he puts it at an angle. The Shadow Spear then slides off his armor and stabs a tree behind him. The Assassin does the same thing except she does this multiple times in a fast manner. This time, Roy uses his fiery sword to deflect all of those Shadow Spears. It's Roy's turn to attack but it's interrupted by a Shadow Spear.

However, this Shadow Spear is much stronger than the last one and is spinning in a drilling motion. Creating a gust of air blowing everything away from it, but Roy already won this battle.

"Flame Style: Fiery Slash!", Roy yelled.

Roy yells as he raises the Demonic Saber and moves it downward in an arc motion. After that, a fiery arc appears and targets his Assassin. The 2 attack moves closer to each other but the Shadow Spear stands no chance against it as it gets slices in half. Then it shoots towards her.

BOOOOOM!!!

An explosion appears the moment the Fiery Slash touches her. After a few seconds, the dust settles. Showing an injured Assassin laying on a nearby tree because she launches towards it by the explosion. She's too injured to move, to stand, and to run away. She's helpless. Roy then sheaths his sword and walks toward her. He then squats and hovers his hand above her body. Helpless to do anything, she closes her eyes. Awaiting her doom.

She then feels better and better by the second until her injuries don't hurt that much. She opens her eyes to see Roy healing her. After that, she jumps away from him and lands on a branch. Roy stands up and looks at her. Then he walks away.

"Wait! You're going to just leave and why are you leaving like that? I tried to kill you.", she asked.

"Let's just say, I'm turning in a new leaf.", Roy said with intent.

Then he turns around to look at her. Giving a normal kind of stare to the Assassin. After that, Roy crosses his arms and wants to engage in a talk with her.

"In other cases, why did you try to kill me?", Roy questions his Assassin.

She stays quiet at first. Hesitating to tell him the truth, but...she thinks this would help her get what she wants. She then jumps down.

"I was ordered to get that.", she confesses.

She pointed at the Demonic Saber. Roy looks at it and sighs. Roy grabs it and removes it from his back.

"Tell you what. I'll ask you a few questions and if you answer all of them truthfully, I'll give you this.", Roy made a deal.

"But let me warn you. I know when someone is lying in front of me...", Roy added.

She's confused by this and even made her silent for a few seconds. Wondering why would Roy give the Demonic Saber so easily. She then regains her composure.

"What are your questions?", she readies herself.

"First of all, how did you know I was here.", Roy asked her.

"My fa- I mean, a psychic predicted that you were in this city.", she answered truthfully.

'A psychic huh… I heard ninjas that can predict the future or something in that manner can do something like this. ', Roy thought.

Roy believes her answer. So he continues this interrogation by asking his next question.

"Next, are you from the Violent Darkness Clan?", Roy asked again.

"Yes. Yes, I am.", she admitted honestly.

"And lastly, will you leave us alone when I give you this?", Roy asked the last question of his.

Roy gestures the Demonic Saber.

"Certainly. They only want the Demonic Saber. Not the head of the Ultimate Ninja.", she said naturally.

Roy looks closely into her eyes. He finds no lie within those purple eyes. Roy sighs and throws the Demonic Saber at the Assassin. She catches it and unsheathes the Demonic Saber to check if it was the real deal. She doesn't know but hopes it wasn't fake.

Roy then turns around and starts jumping towards home. Leaving the confused Assassin, holding the Demonic Saber, to think to herself. Roy, who's jumping through the trees, grabs his phone to check the time.

"11:10. I'm definitely gonna have less sleep tonight.", Roy muttered to himself.
