Chapter 50: MVP

Roy's sitting on a tree, underneath where the tree base is. Beside Roy is his uncle and master, Bakin. They decide to talk to each other while they wait for the others.

"I see... The Freedom Fangs are a tricky one, ey?", Bakin commented.

"Yes, they are. Though, I got a feeling that something was off.", Roy replied.

"What is it, Roy-boy?", Bakin asked.

"The wolf who made Sara their hostage suddenly had a headache. After that, they went from "stay there or I'll kill her" to "kill her". It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. We were keeping our distance and they decided to do that. I just don't get the motive.", Roy explained while clutching his head with both hands.

"You said that he had a headache, right?", Bakin asked again.

"Yes, he was stating that he ha-", Roy discontinued.

Roy discontinues because he remembers something. An important detail in the past.

"When the school was under attack, I fought Sharp Tooth. As the fight goes on, I showed that I'm much stronger than he is. Sharp Tooth was showing signs of retreating, but then he got a headache. After that, he started fighting again. It's possible that these headaches can mean something. But what?", Roy asked himself.

"I don't know, but one thing is for sure. This conversation is giving me a headache.", Bakin said in response.

"Ugh, fine. I'll think about this later... Maybe investigate it as well.", Roy dropped the subject.

Bakin then grabs a small rock, and then he throws it at a drawn target sign on a tree. The thrown rock misses the center but is close to it.

"Dammit! Anyway, how are you feeling, Roy-boy?", Bakin asked.

"How am I feeling? I'm fine, I guess.", Roy answered blandly.

"Are you sure? Because last time I remember, you're carrying 6 men and 1 girl on your back.", Bakin reminded Roy.

Roy picks up a rock and throws it at the drawn target sign, missing it by ant size. Roy sighs seeing this.

"We help each other out. So I'm good.", Roy replied.

"Well, they're not that much of a help when you're keeping this secret from them. This kind of reminds me of the situation that Sara is in currently.", Bakin mentioned Sara.

"What about her?", Roy asked.

"Let's point out the similarities here. You and Sara are keeping an important secret in your life from the people you care about. Showing that both of you don't trust them. Although, Sara is in a much worst position than you. You kept this secret from them ever since you got here. Sara, on the other hand, has been keeping this secret for years now. Ever since they were children. Now I won't blame her for being scared to tell Yua the truth since I would feel betrayed and furious if someone I trusted for so long did this.", Bakin explained his thoughts on both situations.

"Hm...I guess I'm a hypocrite for wanting Sara to tell her Yua the truth yet I'm keeping this ninja job a secret from my brothers.", Roy noted to himself.

Bakin grabs another small rock and starts throwing it in the air upwards and catching it with the same hand he threw, doing this repeatedly.

"Yes. Yes, you are, Roy-boy.", Bakin muttered.

Bakin then throws the small rock on the target sign again, hitting the middle of it.

"Bullseye! Anywho, you need to trust your brothers more. Trust them with this secret before it's too late.", Bakin moved back to the subject.

"I just can't do that. If I did, what would have been the point of escaping the village? Nothing would change. Their lifestyle would have been the same when we were back there.", Roy couldn't do it.

"If I'm being honest, the life you have here is way different from back home. You have more freedom here than in the village. Plus, the only thing you do for the principal is just deliver illegal things to rich people. I'm pretty sure that he's in the Black Market though.", Bakin pointed out the difference.

"I don't know... It probably wouldn't matter since father can force us to go back to the village. I mean, he sent you to look after us, right?", Roy replied tiredly.

"True... But I think he's still thinking about that decision. After all, we all went through a traumatic event before you kids decided to leave. That didn't help him at all, by the way, Roy-boy.", Bakin voiced out.

"...I hate him so much... Though I have to admit, he's one of the most logical people there is. Not letting his emotion affect his judgment.", Roy added.

"Well, that's Beni for you. Though, I won't blame him that much. Yes, he manipulated you into becoming the Ultimate Ninja, but it's really hard to be a master and a family member at the same time. Like, me. Since you are my nephew, I sometimes don't realize that I'm going too easy on you whenever we train unless I pull back and ask myself. Half of the time, I was going easy on you. You kind of need to separate your role in the village and your family so it wouldn't be confusing. Right now, I'm in Uncle mode, but maybe later, I could switch.", Bakin describes his situation.

Roy stands up, stretching his whole body and even yawning. Then he picks up another tiny stone. Roy looks at the drawn target and throws at it strongly. The rock then gets stuck in the center of it, piercing the wood and unable to fall to the ground.

"Thanks... I'll keep that in mind whenever I trained them.", Roy thanks him.

Roy is swinging the Demonic Saber up and down repeatedly, training and honing his skills while waiting for the others. Roy then stops swinging his sword and smiles randomly. Out of nowhere, Roy grins. However, Roy doesn't smile without a reason to.

'Guess they're here.', Roy thought.

Suddenly, a yellow blur charges above Roy. Roy rolls over to dodge and sheathes the Demonic Saber. A rock is thrown somewhere, aiming his head. Roy catches it with one hand. Suddenly, somebody charges behind him with a male growl. Roy jumps and does a backflip, dodging the attack.

The yellow blur then lunges at Roy and gives him multiple punches as well as some kicks. Using 2 hands, Roy blocks and defends himself from the attack. The one who tries to tackle Roy on the back is wearing a white outfit. The white fighter then charges at Roy and combines their attacks with the yellow blur.

Roy hears movement from a bush behind him. After hearing this, Roy quickly pushes the 2 fighters away and throws the rock, which he catches before, behind him. The rock hits its target on her body.

"Ow! Couldn't you throw your rock much softer?", Sara whined a bit.

"Sorry, Sara. Though, I'm proud of your team's effort in stealth attacks. Seems like all of you are improving.", Roy said as he turns around.

"Awww! Well, thank you, master!", Yua appreciated the compliment.

Yua is wearing a uniform coated in a sunlight-like yellow. Black clothing can be seen underneath it. A red cloth is tied to her waist. Her shoulders are revealed while her arms and fists are covered in metal gauntlets like Roy's. Unlike Roy's, Yua's gauntlets are covering her whole arm except her shoulders and elbows. Her legs are covered in black stockings while wearing Geta on her feet.

NOTE: Geta is traditional footwear. Those are basically wooden sandals if you look it up in Guugler.

ALSO NOTE: Sorry, it's Google. Not Guugler. Maybe I should tone down the "renaming brands" a bit.

"Thanks, br- I mean, Master Roy. Hehe.", Alvin chuckled.

Alvin is wearing an all-white outfit with a bit of armor white and black chest plate on closer inspection. Having covered his whole face except for his eyes. As well as shoulder armor and wearing full chainmail on his arms to his hands. Wearing also white pants and sneakers as well.

Roy sees this and sighs in disappointment. As well as putting his on his forehead, giving a disappointed look to both of them. Yua and Alvin are confused about the expression their master is giving.

"What? What's wrong?", Yua asked.

"Yeah, do we look bad in this outfit? In my opinion, I and Yua look awesome wearing it.", Alvin added.

"I'm just disappointed that you both failed one thing a ninja outfit needs to be which is stealth...", Roy was disappointed.

"What?!", both Alvin and Yua were shocked.

"Notice the main color of mine and Varari's ninja outfit. It's mainly black. Fitting for blending in the night. You both chose the brightest color which doesn't even blend well in these surroundings let alone in the night, does it?", Roy asked.

"No...", both Yua and Alvin sadly agreed.

Roy sees sad faces on both of them. Roy sighs again and closes his eyes, crossing his arms as well. Roy then turns around, showing his back to them.

"You both look great though. F for stealth but A on style.", Roy complimented their outfits.

"Aw, shucks. Thanks, master.", Yua values Roy's comment.

"Well, I do look good in white.", Alvin poses while saying this.

Sara chuckles at this and then she approaches Roy, carrying something with her. Roy sees and is curious to see what Sara is carrying behind her.

"I saw last night that your armors on your arms broke. So I have these made last night for your replacements. Take these as a thank you for everything, Roy.", Sara gave Roy new armors.

Roy looks at the new set of armor for his arms. Roy smiles and one of them and puts it in his arm, tying it tightly. Roy does the same thing to the other. After that, Roy tests it by punching the air and doing all kinds of moves as well.

"It's a bit heavy, other than that, it's all good. Thanks, Ichika.", Roy thanks her.

"Call me Sara. It wouldn't be fair if I keep calling you by your first name and you can't do mine. As you said before, we're on equal grounds, right?", Sara allowed Roy to call her by her first name.

"Yes, we are, Sara-san.", Roy said her name with a twist.

Sara pouts at this. Roy laughs a bit seeing this.

"Just kidding, Sara. I was just joking.", Roy was just joking.

Roy then starts training them by doing the usual physical training. 20 km run. 50 pushups. 50 sit-ups. 50 pullups. 50 jumping jacks. 50x heavy lifting. And they had to crawl 20 meters while having someone on their back 4x. Though, at this difficulty on training, they are getting the hang of it.

"Man! This is easy!", Alvin boasted.

"I know right! At first, this was difficult but not I can handle it.", Yua replied.

"It means we're improving every time we do this, which is a good sign. Finally, some progress!", Sara was proud of herself.

Roy hears all of this while leaning against a tree, crossing his arms while thinking about what they say and making him remember what Bakin says earlier.

"It's hard being a master and a friend. Sometimes you can go too easy on them which isn't always good. Especially when it comes to favorites.", Bakin softly said.

"Those, aren't the words you said before but thanks, master.", Roy looks beside him to see Bakin there.

"Your welcomeeeeeee...", Bakin slowly disappears.

Roy sighs and then he approaches his students, having an intimidating aura flowing out of him. Feeling this, Alvin, Yua, and Sara stand up properly. Scared at what Roy is about to say.

"Do the whole thing again.", Roy ordered.

"Bu-but, we already did it, master.", Yua stuttered a bit.

"Did I stutter? Do it again. From now on, whenever you get comfortable, I'll crank up the difficulty. That way, you can more progress faster.", Master Roy didn't stutter.

Hearing this makes everyone scared but they do the whole training all over again. After that, Roy sighs, letting his aura calm down a bit, and then he hears claps from behind him. Roy turns around.

"Spoken, like a true master.", Varari complimented Roy.

"Where were you?", Roy asked.

"I...couldn't sleep that much... *Yawn* So I slept more hours in the day.", Varari tiredly said.

"Why so?", Roy interrogates Varari.

"It's complicated to say but...let's just say I'm related to a psychic.", Varari answered.

"A psychic is someone who can predict the future. So you're saying you have a vision last night?", Roy questioned Varari.

"It was like a terrifying nightmare that keeps on reoccurring. It's a usual thing that happened to me-", Roy suddenly grabbed Varari's shoulders.

Varari is surprised to be held like this. Roy gives Varari a serious look, hearing that Varari has a vision of the future makes him curious.

"Varari... What did you see in the future?", Roy asked seriously.

"It was... It's hard to interpret because it was all vague but... I saw all of us there in a building with many more people. We were doing something fun there. I think it was a competition. Yua and Sara were hugging each other and were really happy about something. Suddenly a huge explosion happened. And...blank. That's all that I remembered.", Varari tried to recall what she remembered.

Roy then lets go of it, closing his eyes and sighing. Roy then puts his fingers on his chin and is thinking about it. Varari's vision is something that isn't supposed to be taken lightly by Roy.

"Thanks for telling me. But what does that mean?...", Roy thanks Varari and asked himself.

Varari then groans at this and then she pinches Roy's cheeks.

"Stop thinking about it. I already thought all about it as I head this way but came up with nothing. So it's pointless to think about. Besides, we're supposed to be training with each other which I find much more important than my visions, you cutie!", Varari pinches harder.

"Ow ow ow! Alright, I'll stop...", Roy throws in the white towel.

Varari stops pinching Roy's cheeks. Roy grunts in pain while rubbing his red cheeks on his face.

It's recess time for the kids. Mr. Guard is sitting in a chair along with Reika and her friends, listening to what the kids are talking about. The students are chatting happily together.

"My onii-chan, Abellona Roy, is the best! He's the best older sibling I could ask for.", Reika boasted.

"Nu-uh! Kage Varari, onee-chan is way nicer than him!", Wataru argued back.

"Why don't we say both of them are the best. Besides, they're dating, right Abellona?", one of the kids asked.

"Oh her? Well, I think so. Me and Wataru even saw them holding each other's hands.", Reika shared them a secret.

"Yeah, she's right! I so saw them do it. They're probably making out with each other.", Wataru backed Reika up.

"What does "making out" even means?", a fat kid asked.

"Honestly, I don't know... I just heard that's what couples usually do. Do you know what it means, Mr. Guard?", Wataru asked.

Mr. Guard who is just listening is caught off guard by this. He then looks up while he folds his arms, closing his eyes even and thinking of what does it mean.

'I don't know what "Making Out" means. I've never been in a relationship before. I don't even know what it feels like to fall in love. But! But I must not look pathetic in front of these kids.', Mr. Guard thought.

The kids are waiting and looking at the very serious thinking Mr. Guard. Mr. Guard then opens his eyes and smiles. He has an answer. The kids around the table eyes lit up after seeing the expression Mr. Guard is making.

"Making out... It's basically when couples do when they're alone. Kissing each other intensely. That is what making out means, children.", Mr. Guard said the correct meaning of it, even though he was just guessing.

"Woah! So is onii-chan and onee-chan kissing each other a lot?", Reika asked.

"Probably. If you say that they're madly in love with each other, then yes, they are making out.", Mr. Guard answered.

Varari and Roy sneeze. They both wipe and clean their noses before getting back to it.

"Jeez, people must have been enjoying talking about us behind our backs. Especially if this is the 7th time we sneezed together at the same time.", Varari pointed out.

"Do you seriously believe in that?", Roy asked.

"I mean, yeah. Do you?", Varari asked.

"No. Anyway, let's get back to it again.", Roy said in response.

"Right!", Varari said before charging at Roy.

Roy lunges at Varari while holding the Demonic Saber. Varari places her spear in a piercing position. Roy raises his left arm and uses its covering to shield the attack. After that, Roy then strikes the spear downward and tries to kick Varari down. However...

"Take this!", Varari extended her right hand at Roy.

A huge gust of wind blows Roy away. Roy stabs the ground using the Demonic Saber to anchor himself down. Varari's spear then covers itself in darkness.

"Shadow Spears!", Varari yelled.

Several shadow spears soar towards Roy. Roy's sword then begins to light up brightly, quickly holding the Demonic Saber with both hands.

"Light Style: Slices of Life!", Roy shouted back.

Roy then deflects all of the spears, letting them all fly upwards. Roy intentionally plans that to happen. Earth wraps on the Demonic Saber.

"Earth Style: Soil Swings!", Roy exclaimed.

The Shadow Spears starts to fall back on the ground. Timing it perfectly, Roy smashes the spears towards Varari. Air quickly engulfs Varari's spear. A large amount as well. Varari then launches it toward Roy again.

"Air Spear!", Varari cry out her new move.

A huge gust of wind that is shaped in a spear launches in the same direction as to where the Shadow Spears is, going in a drilling motion. The big Air Spear blows away the rest of the Shadow Spears and flies towards Roy. Roy quickly jumps away and dodges the attack. The Air Spear only drilled the spear that is behind Roy, disappearing after doing that.

"That was new. It also seems to be effective as well.", Roy commended Varari.

"Thanks! I had to come up with the name on the fly. In another case, Spearhead Charge!!", Varari screamed.

In an instant, Varari quickly charges at Roy with her spear in front. Her body is engulfed in dark energy, making her, in this state, formidable.

"Thunder Style: Single Strike!", Roy yelled.

Roy's whole body as well as the Demonic Saber electrify. At amazing speed, Roy launches himself fast towards Varari. Their weapons collide and a huge burst of violet and yellow colors exploded on the area. It's so gigantic that even Yua, Alvin, Sara, and Bakin, who is watching over the trio, see this.

"Wow! Is that really coming from Roy's and Varari's sparring? That's crazy to see.", Alvin was dumbfounded by the sight of this.

"Guess this means they're on a whole another level.", Sara commented.

"Oooooh! Shiny! I really can't wait to do stuff like that!", Yua was admiring the battle that both of her masters are doing.

"Patience, Yua. You'll get there sooner or later. Considering you're excelling much quicker than both of your friends.", Bakin tries to calm Yua down.

"Wait?! Does that mean I'm the MVP of this team? Yay, I'm the MVP!", Yua was happy that she was the MVP.

"Grrr... I won't get left behind by Yua.", Alvin challenged himself to beat Yua.

"So do I as well.", Sara also aimed to be better than Yua.

Bakin chuckles at the sight of this. Seeing how competitive the three of them make this entertaining for him.

'You really have interesting students, Roy-boy.', Bakin thought to himself.

Mr. Guard is in the lounge with Ms. Kage, talking about what the kids discussed earlier. Specifically, Mr. Guard talks about it while Ms. Kage listens.

"I'm really proud of myself that time. Providing an answer to the kids while not knowing what it means made me feel smart. Who knew I'm good at guessing?", Mr. Guard bragged about his achievement.

Ms. Kage sips her cup of coffee and shows an expression that she doesn't care. As well as being tired to listen to this conversation, Mr. Guard doesn't notice and continues.

"I also downloaded this application called Tick Tock because the kids recommended me to download and I find it really interesting. I mean-"

"Stop.", Ms. Kage interrupted Mr. Guard.

Hearing this makes Mr. Guard stop and confused. Ms. Kage let out a breath of relief before speaking.

"Why are you telling me this?", Ms. Kage asked.

"Well, I got no one to talk to so I-"

"No, what I really mean is why are you talking to me about this? Why are you telling me useless information?", Ms.Kage cut in and asked again.

This causes Mr. Guard to fall silent, making him self-reflect on what's he is doing. Ms. Kage then stands and faces Mr. Guard seriously.

"You shouldn't get to attached with the enemy. Or else the Dark Emperor will show you no mercy. Now let me ask you this question, do you think we should still keep interrogating the Ultimate Ninja's little sister or finally act upon our plan?", Ms. Kage questioned Mr. Guard seriously.

Mr. Guard looks down at his coffee, thinking about the question he forces to answer. Mr. Guard then takes a big gulp out of his coffee before answering.

"We should do it next week as soon as Reika comes to school again. We should prepare for the weekends starting tomorrow, Saturday. I've got all sorts of information from Roy. Especially his fears.", Mr. Guard decided to do their plan.

"Good.", Ms. Kage commented.

After training with Varari, Roy decides to fight with his students one by one to see what progress has been made.

Sara, who is hesitant before now has something worth fighting for. Roy, knowing her conviction to be strong when she becomes the next leader of her clan the Marvelous Magics' Clan is glad that she's not afraid to beat up someone.

Alvin, his brute strength is now being paid off. Combine that with proper training, he's now a machine. He could even rip a small log in half using his bare hands. Alvin says he sees it in a movie and copies it.

Yua, someone who you think is defenseless is actually the strongest among the rest. She learns faster than the 2 of them. Her adaptability is much more compact than before. Her speed is something that Roy is impressed with and her skills are now above average than ever. She's like a proper ninja now.

Roy sees this and starts thinking. He knows that Yua has much bigger progress than her fellow teammates.

'It would be a waste to let this kind of talent wither. It's time...', Roy thought.

Roy then walks up to them, interrupting the talk that Varari and their students had. Everyone stops at what they're doing, awaiting their master's response on why Roy approaches them.

"Varari, continue training them. Yua, come with me...also, do you have your knives?", Roy asked.

Upon hearing this, Yua smiles and jumps excitedly. She then heads over to her stuff. Her actions say yes.

"How long have you had those knives in your bag, Yua?", Sara asked worriedly.

"Ever since I heard that we're about to learn to fight. Don't worry, I covered them safely with some towels. Making sure they won't cut anyone.", Yua answered calmly.

"So you have been bringing those knives to school?!", Sara asked shockingly.

"Yep!", Yua answered happily.

"Yua, you shouldn't be happy to answer such a question like that! You shouldn't be bringing knives to school as well.", Sara scolded Yua.

"But Master Roy brings the Demonic Saber to school all the time, right?", Yua asked dumbly.

"Of course, I do. But I also keep them someplace safe which is in my personal pocket dimension. Not in the same spot where I pull out school things, Yua.", Roy replied.

Varari gets laughs at what the situation has become and nods. Agreeing to train Alvin and Sara, Roy nods back. Roy looks over to his master, Bakin, to see a flash of thumbs up coming from him. Roy sighs and looks over to Yua. When Yua found her 2 weapons, she raises both of them and yells.

"I found it!", then Yua skips happily towards Roy.

Yua looks at Roy, her eyes are filled with joy and excitement. Roy sighs while turning in a certain direction and starts walking. Yua follows him while skipping. Along the way, they start talking.

"Soo...what are you going to teach me, Master Roy?", Yua asked.

"I'm going to teach you how to Freestyle.", Roy answered.

"Freestyle?", Yua repeated.

"It's also known as Survival Technique. This would not only help you in wielding those knives of yours but it will also teach you to use anything you can find as a weapon. A sword, a spear, a knife, even a stick.", Roy explained Freestyle.

"Oooh! So that's why it's called Freestyle. Because it's not bound by 1 weapon", Yua replied.

"Correct. I'm also teaching you this because I don't know how to wield a knife or a dagger properly. Let alone dual wielding it.", Roy honestly admitted to Yua.

Then Roy stops walking, stopping at a certain part of the forest. Where it's far enough so Alvin and Sara wouldn't get distracted by what they're about to do.

"This should be good.", Roy muttered to himself.

Roy turns around and then holds out his hand. A small portal appears in front of that hand. Yua sees this and is curious about it.

"Wait, is that portal the same portal where you threw that dog in before?", Yua asked while remembering that time.

"It's also a portal to where I usually keep my things.", Roy answered.

Roy then puts his hand in it and then pulls out a wooden sword. Roy then grabs the Demonic Saber and shoves it in the portal. Soon the portal disappears.

"First, I want to see you how you use those knives.", Roy said as he puts on a fighting stance wielding the wooden sword.

"Wait! You haven't even taught me how to use these.", Yua pointed out.

"That's the point on why it's called Freestyle and Survival Technique. It doesn't have a style of its own. Its user will make their own fighting style or technique. And then they will hone and refine it. However, the very thing that it has from other techniques is that it will give you the ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome.", Roy described the technique again.

"I think I heard that from a TV series-"

"Training begins now!", Roy interrupted Yua.

"Woah!", Yua reacted.

Roy charges, swinging his fake sword downwards, aiming for Yua's head. Yua, with her quick wit, blocks Roy's attack by making an x with her knives. Roy then uses his strength to break Yua's defense but it isn't strong enough. It only pushes Yua back, creating some distance from each other.

Roy runs toward her, being in the offensive and throwing attack after attack at Yua. Yua blocks and dodges some of it, but she couldn't evade it all nor shield herself from it. Yua gets hit from her sides, her right thighs, and finally, face. Yua spins around then comes to a stop. She took a moment to regain herself. Rubbing her face to feel a sting on it. Yua has now a bruise. Roy holds himself back, remembering she isn't that strong. Yet.

"Come on, at this point you're dead. If you want to live, then you have to fight.", Roy encourages her and points the wooden sword at her.

Yua is about to attack then she stops and looks at her knives. Yua's afraid that she might hurt Roy. Roy notices this.

"If you think that you can hurt me, then you must be dreaming.", Roy taunted Yua.

Yua still doesn't move, still afraid. Roy decides to change their strategy.

"Fine then, if you take this seriously I'll...hmm....I'll buy you some chocolates.", Roy offered a deal.

"REALLY??!! DO YOU PROMISE?!?!", Yua yelled.

"Yes....yes I promise...", Roy said as he rubs his ear.

'I guess some women do love chocolates.', Roy thought.

"Alright! Here I come!", Yua said as she lunges at Roy.

Yua then tries to slash Roy using her right knife but Roy blocks it. Using her left, Yua switches grip and tries to stab him in the shoulder. Roy lets go of his right and grab her left arm, preventing it from reaching him. Yua then launches a kick at Roy, seeing this makes him jump back.

'It seems like I underestimated her. Again.', Roy thought to himself.

Yua runs towards Roy, preparing to attack again. Roy, this time, charges in. This catches Yua off-guard because she isn't expecting him to attack so soon. Yua goes offensive to defensive.

Roy spins to the right and swings his wooden sword at her. Yua blocks it but this pushes her back and gives Roy an opening. Roy doesn't waste this chance and sprints towards Yua. Roy thrust his sword at her stomach region, but since it's dull, it only pushes the wind out of Yua, making her feel a bit dizzy and dazed. Roy stops and gives Yua some time to breathe. Yua then falls on her butt, breathing in and out excessively.

"Get used to that pain. Your body will grow stronger with each pain and struggle you endured.", Roy ordered.

"Is that how you got that strong, Master Roy?", Yua asked.

"You have no idea...", Roy answered scarily.

Yua then stands up, more pump up than before. Yua then creates a stance then does it. Yua stretches her right arm towards Roy and twists her hand a bit, making her knife sideways. Yua spreads her legs and she changes her grip on her left hand, putting her thumb on the edge of the handle of the knife. Roy smiles at this and then he charges in.

Using her left, Yua tries to stab Roy towards the right. Roy parries it. Following her next attack, Yua twirls on her right like how Roy did earlier and swings her knife that's in her right hand at Roy. Roy blocks it again. Yua doesn't let up her attacks and spins again, continuing her momentum and hitting his wooden sword again using her left knife then right, repeating the process. This causes Roy to be pushed back. Yua charges in, without giving Roy a chance to breathe. Yua hooks her left knife to Roy's wooden sword and moves it away, making Roy vulnerable and open. Yua doesn't waste a second and thrusts her knife in a piercing motion towards Roy.

Roy sees this and then he smiles. Lightning is produced on Roy's body. Soon after Roy disappears in a flash. Yua's confused by this because Roy was in her sights just a second ago and is gone the next. Suddenly, something hit Yua on her back causing her to fall to the ground. Yua, who's on the dirt, raises her head and looks behind her. It's Roy holding the dull wooden sword.

"You exceeded the expectations that I have for you. I'm very impressed. You really are the MVP on this team.", Roy praised her and stretched his hand to Yua.

Yua grabs this and stands right back up. Yua beams upon hearing this. Hearing how proud Roy is, makes her happy. Roy notices this and decides to bring down the mood a bit.

"But you're still much weaker than Varari. And I'm stronger than her. So keep your head down to earth. As well as training hard, Alvin or Sara or even both may surpass you if you laze about thinking you're already at your best. Which you still aren't, ok? ", Roy asked.

"Ok, master!", Yua replied with energy.

"Now then..... Get ready for round 2.", Roy said as he gets in his fighting stance.

"All right!", Yua said with determination and prepares herself.
