Ch~Thirty>Seven: Mina Vs Jeremy

"Are you ready Jae?" Mina asked as she tied her hair into a ponytail.

"I am" Jae said, almost rolling his eyes. She sound like she had the confidence to beat him.

"Ok, here I come. Summoning Secret: Beast Gear" Mina muttered and then, a tight but comfortable fitting armor appeared on her body. She tapped the armor in satisfaction with a smile before she continued under the stupefied gaze of Jae.

"Summoning Secret: Longsword" A longsword appeared on her hand. Surprisingly, she wielded it pretty good.

"Alright, here I come!" With a sudden burst of power rushing down from her calf, she kicked the ground and immediately closed the gap between herself and Jae.

'So fast!' Jae thought but he wasn't flustered. Stretching out his hands, Shurikens and Kunai appeared and he threw them out to intercept Mina. Jae didn't know why but for the first time, he felt like Mina was the only one that can give him a good fight. Because at this moment, Jae had already embraced the Ninja's Lifestyle. He wouldn't be weak anymore.

Mina didn't panic in the face of the flying weapons coming towards her. Instead, she skillfully wielded her sword and deflected the Shurikens and Kunai easily. Arriving at Jae's location, she swung her sword at him with no intention to hold back.

"Clank!!!"

The sound of iron meeting iron echoed. Mina saw a fine sword appeared on Jae's hand. This was no ordinary sword. This was the Kusanagi Sword in the Naruto anime.

"Now, let's properly start!" Jae said with a smile and suddenly made his move. Brandishing the sword, he attacked Mina with outstanding amount of force to which Mina easily deflected once again.

With the swords, they exchanged tens of strikes between each other. Clanking sounds kept ringing in the area. It was obvious Jae had more force in the battle but somehow, he got introduced to Mina's exquisite swordplay. All the forces behind his attacks were easily taken by Mina.

After a while, they stopped their attacks and gave each other gaps. Mina smiled and said "Summoning Secret: Hundred Beast Rampage!"

A portal suddenly appeared behind her. Jae saw Dire Beasts of different kinds, all stepping out with powerful auras enveloping them. With a signal, Mina gave them orders to attack.

Roaring loudly to the heavens, all the beasts immediately attacked. Jae deployed and shot multiple Shurikens at the beasts. Killing most of them in the process. Seeing as the beasts were not that strong, he charged headfirst and and started slaughtering the beasts. He was feeling very happy.

Mina soon joined the battle. And now, it became a one against multiple. Mina was finally able to overpower Jae due to the advantage of many distracting opponents.

Swords kept colliding and sparks flew out. Jae suddenly became serious. He made a hand seal and disappeared from previous location.

"[Body Flicker Jutsu]" Calling this an instant escape technique was definitely not a joke. With a blink of an eye, Jae was already in front of Mina, slashing her chest with his sword.

Iron meeting Iron

The force behind the sword attack flung her a few meters away. Although she wasn't injured, her chest still hurt. Jae was obviously more powerful than her. But since this is a spar, it is a spar.

"Last time, be serious. I'm not as easy to deal with. I can finish this battle at anytime but I want to see your abilities. Lemme see how strong you are because I won't hold back again from now on" Jae said with a smile on his face. Then, he stepped away from her and walked some meters away.

"Look at this bastard. He has no sense of care. You hit me in the chest and ya telling me to be serious. Alright then, I will show you serious.

Summoning Secret: Puppet Archers and Puppet Warriors!" With a little pale face but determined expression, a portal appeared behind her. Humanoid puppets dressed in green combat suits wielding bows and arrows matched out followed by humanoid puppets dressed in black wielding swords and shields.

Jae also felt a powerful aura coming from the puppets. Mina's level was just Iron Rank Level 9. But the puppets were also at the same rank and level as Mina.

"Attack!!!" Immediately, all the puppet archers ready their bows and inserted arrows very skillfully. They aimed at Jae and locked on to him before firing with outstanding accuracy. The moment the arrows were shot into the air, the puppet warriors also matched forward to attack Jae.

"What the Damn! [Water Style - Great Water Waves Jutsu] [Water Style - Water Wall Jutsu]" Jae quickly made series of hand seals. Completing them, he spat out a huge amount of water from his mouth. The water covered his surroundings and became a small river. Soon after, a huge wall of water rose up and blocked all the arrows flying towards him. Although it was able to block the arrows, he didn't block most of it. Several of them passed through the water wall and started approaching him. Using his sword, he deflected them one by one until an arrow pierced his leg and one on his neck.

Suddenly he exploded into smokes, leaving a wooden log on the ground.

[Fire Style - Flaming Ring Jutsu] [Fire Style - Great Fireball Jutsu]

Standing on the water, with series of hand seals completed, he spat out a ring of flames that surrounded his body. He then flickered towards that marching puppet warriors while utilizing the flaming ring of fire around him to block the arrows.

*Clank!!!*

With the Kusanagi Sword, Jae intercepted and destroyed the puppet warriors while he occasionally throw kunais and shurikens to strike down the puppet archers.

Mina saw from the side that her puppet warriors and archers were not able to contend with Jae so she started chanting once again. Suddenly a huge fireball appeared above her and was about to strike her down. She quickly dodged it, interrupting her chanting.

Jae made series of hand seals and casted multiple water chains to restrain the puppet warriors and the remaining beasts and used water bullets and projectiles to destroy them afterwards.

He then made hand seals and started casting fireballs, fire bullets, fire projectiles etc at the puppet archers easily destroying them. Now it remains just Mina and Jae.

Jae was panting slightly, he looked up and saw Mina chanting some words before she suddenly shouted "Bronze Puppet Warrior!"

Jae watched as a portal appeared behind her and soon, a huge bronze colored puppet wielding two swords came out of the portal. Mina just pointed at Jae without saying anything else and the Bronze Puppet Warrior started marching towards Jae.
