Ch~Sixteen: Is That You Kurama?
Jae woke up the next morning due to his beeping C-Net. Feeling the powerful stream of energy flowing inside his body, he smiled remembering the things that took place last night.Jae could feel that his body had gotten stronger and lighter than before. He could feel that his Chakra had increased along with his body defense.
He almost had the urge to start flexing his muscles at that spot but he stopped, thinking its gonna be weird. Imagine a twelve year old flexing muscles while making silly mouths. Anyway, he quickly went to freshen up and then checked himself to see if he missed anything. After that, he quickly exited his room and went down to meet the receptionist.
″Good morning Sir, would you like to extend your stay?″ the receptionist asked politely even though she was talking with a young boy.
''No, I would like to go now. I'm here to tell you that a table was broken by accident yesterday and so I would like to pay for it'' Jae said before he transfered 4 Virtual Coins to her and then he quickly left without hearing what the lady wanted to say.
'What a weird boy, I was gonna ask him to forget about the payment but oh well, I guess free coins for me!' The receptionist thought before she then continued her job.

In front of Jae was a map hologram which he was using to get to the Land Of The Beasts. It is said that Dire Beasts inhabited this territory and so, it was called the Land Of The Beasts. After bypassing many places, sites, buildings and other centers, Jae finally arrived at a remote area filled with many guards. Apart from Hunters, there were no ordinary people in the place. The guards there were very strict and they seem to be guarding a giant gate.
There was a receptionist beside the gate where Hunters would go and clear some procedures before they were allowed to enter the gate. Beyond the gate is the Land Of The Beasts where Hunters go to make adventures that could either benefit them or haunt them for life.
Jae saw that some of these Hunters dressed differently from the other as if there were part of a faction. There were actually three types of Hunters, the Mercenary, Military and Explorer. Apart from the Mercenary and Military, he didn't see any Explorer Hunters.
He didn't have time to think about it as his turn to meet the receptionist has arrived. The receptionist was surprised to see a young boy but he didn't put much thought into it. He asked some questions about Jae, his origin and reason for coming to the Land Of The Beasts. Jae told him everything and even the mission. He even purposely added Netherensis Academy so as to prevent any Hunter from targeting him but only God knows what will happen.
After that, the gate was opened to him and he entered without hesitation. He took a look around his surrounding and immediately felt the dangers in the place. The Land Of The Beast is a place filled with forests, swamps, rivers, mountains and other weird geographical regions. Jae knew he was at the outer region of the land and so, he immediately went deeper. He soon entered a forest and this time, he proceeded carefully.
He remembered his mission, he have to hunt a Level 5 Dire Beast, twenty Level 3 Dire Beasts and a mixture of a hundred Level 1-2 Dire Beasts. His time limit is a month but only he knew that he doesn't need that much time to finish his mission. With the system, any beast he killed makes him stronger than before.
Although it was still morning, the deep and large leaves from the giant trees in the forest blocked most of the sunlight making the place darker than usual.
''Rustles!''
Jae immediately became alert when he heard the rustling sound. He could see its coming from the bush five meters beside him. Taking out a kunai from his space, he approached the bush carefully. He held his kunai in front of him as he proceeded. Soon, when he was just half a meter away from the bush and about to spread open the leaves, a huge snarling shadow swiftly jumped out, waving its claws at him.
Jae let out a cry of shock as he fell down on his butt while watching what seems like a huge fox pouncing on him. Fast! That was Jae's thought as he quickly used his kunai to block the Fox's claws but he seems to underestimate the fox for a minute.
''Bam!''
Jae felt something soft at the same time hard slam into him which sent him flying as he cried out in pain.
[-10 HP] The system notification displayed itself indicating the damage Jae had gotten.
Falling to the ground, Jae quickly stood up, ignoring the pain coming from his chest and gave a distance between him and the fox. Now that he is no more near the fox, he could now take a good look at it.
''What? Kurama? Is that you?'' Jae blurted out in surprise as he looked at the fox in front of him.
'What am I saying? How can I compare Kurama to this low life?' Jae thought seriously.
A one meter red fox with silver metallic claws and sharp fangs stood in front of Jae. Its growling and snarling came out without stop as it looked at Jae with the eyes of a predator. Jae recognized this Dire Beast as a Silver Clawed Red Fox. The beast had great strength and speed but low defense. Its tail was also very large and strong and to top it all, it is a Level 3 Iron Dire Beast. Jae had experience the feeling of being slammed with the Fox's tail and he didn't wanna experience it again.
Without giving Jae any moment to react, the fox quickly dashed towards him with a fast speed. Jae looked at the fast approaching Beast and didn't panic. He had just invested Stat Points into his body last night. He guessed it's time to test it.
Taking a deep breath, he also dashed towards the fox with amazing speed. His speed didn't lose to the Fox in the slightest exchange. Taking out his another two kunai from his storage space, holding them with both hands, Jae clashed with the Level 3 Silver Clawed Red Fox.
This beast would be his first count towards the completion of his mission. The Hunt Begins!
