The ground was moving almost on its own to block, or devour attacks with the poison inside of it. This made it hard for the Hydra to actually hit its target which drove it crazier. Hōhei wasn't idle as he stood there, while the Hydra attacked him his flesh arm was moving. His revolver in hand shooting at random vital parts of the Hydra forcing White to heal the damage. Éternelle was even doing something for him by helping him process multiple thoughts and actions at once.
This led to his enhanced body moving calmly and seemingly lazily yet attacks from different angles always happened. Hōhei was currently moving faster than the eye could track and it seemed as if he was barely moving. Which would be very confusing for normal people who haven't reached this kind of inhuman strength.
For Hajime and Yue seeing him block the heads troublesome attacks, even the exploding poison gas combination, and attack when an opening appeared was interesting. To Yue at least. However, it was also annoying to them in a way, they struggled with the Hydra. Yet Hōhei was transmuting the ground like it was a living entity, using his poison to block attacks, while shooting for vitals, and possibly using different skills to empower his body further. This was annoying but interesting to the pair as Hajime had scratched at this but not fully entered it.
Hajime: "Hey you damned monsters, how is he still okay? He is using magic like crazy."
Hajime asked the tamed monsters after watching the one sided defensive fight a bit more. This earned a playful chuckle from Relic who had a mischievous look in her eyes, the behemoth duo mumbling "Grandma, is up to it again."
Relic: "Because he has more magic, control, and help than you~ you troubled pup. So he can use skills with the minimum mana required to power them and rely on his new physical and spiritual stats. Which allows him to do what you see before you, only few can have this level of control of mind, body, and spirit though."
Hajime had a vein tick on his head as he snarled at the old wolf-like monster. Yue kept his arm in place by hugging him rather tightly from the side. During the siege his other arm had been destroyed by a melting monster.
Hajime: "How the hell does he have more control and help huh?! In the castle he did nothing but play chess and do tricks with his first few monsters! Even here he's not really done anything much to show that he has had more help or control than me! He's just been the same as ever!"
Hajime was snarling at Relic who had this smug look as she teased him all while he was trying to shoot her. Only for Yue to never let his arm or hand move about freely as she hugged him with a troubled smile.
Relic: "For one he doesn't explode in anger as often as you do or constantly have your mindset. He's sociopathic and crazy at times but not like you. His little playing around is actually good for teaching control over things. He gets creative and tries things that let him master control over his abilities. Boric over there can make a torrent of pebbles that can admittedly likely break a Dragon scale. Apparently he achieved that small yet dangerous pebble barrage by clapping? I don't know how but the results are there."
Boric stuck the finger that was up his nose a few seconds ago up in the air in confirmation. Before going back to picking his nose in a bored manner as he watched the fight.
Relic: "Guessing that following a rhythm and certain cues works if even Boric can learn.... Anyways His little games and occasional nonsense are when he trained his control over things. From his memories I know you've tried desperately to learn how to control, and use your transmutation in a helpful manner. Just he has unusual but effective ways he can use to achieve this. Now as for the help part, pup tell me where could he get help from?"
Hajime scowled and didn't answer as he glared at Relic with clear annoyance. Earning a sigh from the old monster as she shook her head at him. Stubborn child
Relic: "He has Éternelle constantly helping him, that other book... Also has been helping him, "his" own experience, and myself and the others constantly help him. He has had a lot of help frankly that he could advance in his own way while goofing off. So frankly pup, yes he has more control and help than you think. While you're in your own little hole chanting "kill" like a rat."
As they talked, Hōhei smiled directly at the white head creeping it out. When he used transmutation to cut out a chunk of the hydra's side as a distraction, before a balled up fist of demonic poison, the size of a bus, was swung down into the head.
