"I've been speaking with the Sheriff and I've also looked into arrangements to make a temporary haven south of the border in Buffalo. The Camarilla there have been quite welcoming. I would, of course, return to Ottawa once the matter is resolved."

"You wouldn't have to consider leaving if you waited for Arundel's return," Ophelia says.

"Ophelia believes that nothing is amiss," Kashif says. "That Arundel is still here, watching us. I dearly hope that she is right."

"Have some faith, Kashif," Ophelia says with a patient smile. "There's nothing to be gained by jumping to conclusions."

Kashif spreads his hands. "Who am I to tell her otherwise until we have proof?"

Kashif shakes his head and replies to you. "I have seen entire cities razed to the ground while both mortals and Kindred did nothing but posture and play games.
