Julius found himself in a dimly lit room, facing an older man seated behind a desk. The atmosphere in the room was charged with tension as Julius patiently awaited the man's words.
Dressed in a black uniform adorned with more badges than the others Julius had encountered, the man bore the name 'Gideon' on his tag.
"Do you know why you're here?" the old man asked.
Gideon had neatly trimmed gray hair and piercing brown eyes, despite his age, his physique exuded strength. Julius could sense that he wasn't someone to mess with.
"Because I defended myself, sir?" Julius responded, punctuating his words with a tired yawn. The dark circles beneath his eyes had deepened, a testament to his prolonged lack of sleep.
"Is that your claim, self-defense?" Gideon questioned.
"Of course, you can ask the staff that brought me here. They watched it all happen. I was attacked first." Julius explained, his tone casual.
