Life is unfair

Jason waved his hands and called Mrs. Linda to ask where she was. He then reached his block and went straight to the floral park at the basement.

" Grandma! What are you doing here?", Jason asked after he saw her, sitting on a bench near a beautiful Cherry blossom tree.

" The view of this place always sooths me , as it resembles a place at altise. The artificial trees, colourful birds and the view of this lake, makes me forget everything and it always makes me feel young. I also wanted to talk with you in a pleasant place like this", Grandma replied.

Jason smiled at her and observed the beauty of that place. He wondered what she actually wanted to talk with him. So, he asked her with curiosity, "What is it, Grandma?".

" Its nothing dear. I just wanted to talk with you personally. Always remember, I'm your friend more than an old lady, you'd known since your childhood. I know you are having a hard time, but please do tell your parents how you feel. If you feel pain, sorrow, depressed or anything that makes you uncomfortable tell them. If not tell your mom. I've never seen your mom cry even when she left her parents to live with your dad. But, she'd been crying each and everyday since the incident. She's worried that you'd lost your brightness and smile that you always had before. You know that your mom is a strong woman both mentally and physically. But if anything happens to you she'll break down and she'll sacrifice anything to make you fine. I'm telling you all these not to just advice you, but to make you understand how precious you're to them. Will you tell them?, Mrs. Linda asked and slowly grazed his hair, up and down.

" Okay, Grandma! I'll think about it", replied Jason looking somewhere.

" Look at yourself. Being stubborn! Forget everything and turn back normal. Do you think that this blue eye made you any different. No, you're forever our Lovely Jason. You're forever the child of Clara and Chris. Talk, play and share your feelings with them like you always do. Do you think you only have problem?... Do you think Grandma is alright? No, I've lot of secrets to hide from people so that they don't fear me", saying tears falled down from grandma's eyes.

" What happened Grandma? Why are you crying?", Jason asked as he got terrified to see her cry suddenly.

" What do you think about Granny always sitting on arm and wheel chairs", as she asked, Jason sat next to her frozen with no idea of what she was talking about. He just looked at her without blinking and he just nodded, thinking for awhile.

" Its because I'm infected. You might have heard about the age of Toxicity and that's why, we all moved here to ARI. I was one among those infected people. Your parents and Noroc couple got petrified to see me for the first time but after getting to know more about me they got lovely", while she was saying Jason got up and walked here and there.

"Grandma, How can you act so careless. Is that hard for you to wear mask?, he asked her furiously.

" I was not on my right mind at that time. I lost my most pricely possession in that due time. Yes! My son Mathew Matyrs. He was a descent fellow, always trying to help and rescue people. He joined the smart forces without my consent as he desired to join a brave job.I felt cloud over moon whenever he visited me. It made me feel like living thousands of years, to cook and feed him through my hands. Your mom Clara was once a trainee under him when she was a teenager. She told me that he was a funny one with gentle behaviour. Yeah! Like father like son", saying she smiled looking at the sky's visual and then she continued.

"With his dream fulfilled, he lived a very happy life. After long years in service, he told me that he loved someone. He promised to introduce her to me one day. But I don't know why, I wasn't able to meet her, until this day", said Grandma with her words full of sorrow.

Jason felt really bad about her and so he held her hands tightly. He was curious to know where his son was and so he asked, " And what happened Grandma? Did you fight with him? When are you planning to make me meet him?".

Mrs.Linda smiled at him for his innocence. She then replied," This world is not fair for anyone. LIFE IS UNFAIR in case of mine. Like his father, he left me all alone in this secluded world. I lived a depressed life for a long time, after I lost him in an accident. But, the boy I met him at the airport reminded me of my son. He gave me a desire to live again, but shame on me I spoiled that opportunity", said Grandma.

" Which Airport and who's that boy? What are you talking about, Granny?", asked Jason.

" He died, during the tragic pandemic that shooked up our Atlise. His friends were the ones who took care of me. After few months, people prepared themselves to leave the country cause of the happy news. But, I felt immense pain and sorrow to leave my son all alone there. In the due time, my health worsened too. I never cared about protecting myself, but they forced me and took me to the airport. Even, they bought some time and delayed the flight as I felt ill. It was when I turned into a monster. I was among the crowd at that time, near a small kiddo and everyone fled away as soon as they found that I was infected. Then, the officers captured me and took me to the medical detention center. The medication and radio therapies cured me instead they damaged my legs. But, I'm all happy now having you and your parents", Grandma spoke graciously.

Jason felt drepressed after hearing everything about Mrs.Linda. He felt that the challenges and diffulties he'd faced recently was nothing compared to her life. So, he thought of a plan, inorder to entertain her to divert the topic.

It was at that time, leader bot Louis delivered drinks to them."Here is the smoothie and latte ordered by Mrs.Linda Matyrs from Sunset Café. Please, do enjoy and give your honourable feedback!", saying the bot handed over them the order.

The bot requested the old lady to do the payment in its corechest. Corechest was the heart of a bot and it was the place which helps a bot to perform multiple actions.

As soon as, she swiped the card on a small horizonal line in its chest, a number panel poped up in thin air, for her to make the payment.

Jason made her remember the good olden days in her life and the naughty incidents he'd done in his childhood to make her laugh. After a series of serious attempts, Jason succeeded in making her smile for few minutes.

They both left home after enjoying a great quality time with each other.

By that time, Louis reached the Café and asked the owner if he'd recieved the payment. The owner thanked him for his voluntarily service and a deadly feeling arosed in the owner's heart, that constantly told him to reward the Bot. As bots never accept presents, he sent a gift to its system secretly, as a token of love.

Louis got ready for the next task, as soon as he noticed the red light blinking in its head. Thinking what the next task was about, he touched the light and read the message.

The message opened in thin air and the bot secretly enjoyed the nano gift pack he had recieved. His eyes glowed on seeing its advantages and so he touched the open button with utmost curiosity.

The gentle touch of him, made a magic in front of his eyes and he stood there motionless on the sight of the gift he had recieved.
