Definition Of Terms :)

Author's Note 1: Someone has requested me to make a description of some terms in the book so I'll be making one. If there are other words that only this book contains or some terms that have different meanings than the real one, please don't hesitate to comment in the chat box. Erm, some might be very light spoilers but it is a general knowledge one should have when reading this book, ig.

-Nightmares: Harrowing manifested Entities that are otherworldly creatures with unknown purposes in the world. Nightmares are categorized as Lesser Nightmare Creature, Intermediate Nightmare Creature, and Higher Nightmare Creature.

(Take note: In some cases, Nightmares aren't just a single definition, but a broad concept that anything related to them.)

-Shaded: People who consumed Nightmare Potions to receive a Facet, a name for a power or ability that came from Nightmares. They are ranked according to the number of their abilities. One ability equates to the Shaded of the First Order. Two abilities equate to The Shaded of the Second Order, and so forth.

(Take note: They are rare cases where one can wield two Facets on the same Nightmare Potion. Even so, they are still considered as to what rank they were. For example, if a person is a Shaded of the Third Order yet wielded two facets on their Third Nightmare Potion, they are still considered as Third Order instead of Fourth.)

-Nightmare Corps: An organization consisting of skilled men who specialized in being exposed to Nightmares the most. Quoted in the book "A bunch of talented wretches hanging on a thread".

-Heretic: Individuals whose faith and beliefs are directed at their gods, known as Nightmares. No Heretics are good.

Corrupted Humans: Unfortunate individuals who were tragically exposed to anything related to Nightmare, transforming them into similar creatures, yet lesser ones. They're categorized as Level Zero Corrupted Human, One Corrupted Human, Level Two Corrupted Human, up to the highest level known yet, Level Seven Corrupted Human.
