Origin pt.2

"What happened next?"

"The leader and the six others found a town. They decided to land at the center of the town where some of the people were still awake. Unfortunately, few people saw them transform from smoke into a person and that made them conclude that the leader and the other six were witches and warlocks who came to them to end their town."

Answered Leigh as he looks at me then smiles weakly. Nooo… what's with that weak smile of his? Leigh slowly looks back at the sky.

"They were quickly captured by the town's people that saw them then beats the hell out of 'em. Three of them was already unconscious after the beating while the leader and the other three were still feeling the pain. And because of the ruckus that happened at the center of the town, the other town's people were awoken and decided to build seven stakes for them to be tied onto and burn with it."

Continued Leigh as he continues to look at the sky then sighed. What the--- I want to curse all the humans in the real world! Why them son of a b--- having such a freaking narrow mind is so… urgh! I can't find the right word!

"H-how do the other seven that's left behind knew what happened to the leader and the six members who's with her?"

I asked Leigh while I'm still looking at him. This is the reason why I hate most people. They're just so cruel and they don't even feel guilty of the horrible things that they've don to other humans. They're monsters!

"Two of the seven who stayed had a bad feeling about it, making the two of them follow the leader and the others to check on them. They witnessed everything. From when the leader and six others landed until they were burned with the stakes."

Answered Leigh to my question as he now looks at me with his shaky and teary eyes.

"Leigh…"

I called his name as my eyes became teary as well. I slowly lean towards him then hugged him as my tears fell from my eyes. Leigh hugged me back then I felt his tears fell down on my back.

"Ella, you won't be like them, right?"

Asked Leigh while we're still hugging each other.

"Yes, Leigh. I promise. I promise I won't be like them."

I answered to Leigh's question as I nod, making the both of us let go of our hug to each other then wipe our own tears.

"But… how come you were assigned here in Asia when the origin of your kind's from America?"

I asked confusedly to Leigh as I continue to look at him.

"Well… after that fateful night… the two who followed the leader and the other six came back from the Native Americans' lands and told them all about what happened. That is when our very first rule was made. 'Never show yourself to any person outside of the Native American lands'. Since then… as time passes by… as the world becomes more modern and dreamcatchers were spread across the world… the half of the first Fourteen Protectors of Dreams decided to divide the world into seven continents to build one agency for each of the continents, to lead dream agents, to maintain the peace between our kind and you humans and help humans around the world."

Answered Leigh to my question while he's looking down on the floor, making me nod while still looking at him.

"You know what? Enough about our origin. Let's talk about you, Ella. What made you wish that?"

Asked Leigh as he now smiles at me with his bloodshot eyes. I smiled back at him while still looking at him.

"What 'that'?"

"You know… this."

Answered Leigh to my question then spread his arms wide as he looks around the dream world. Wait… I think I'm forgetting something.

"Wait… Leigh, I think I'm forgetting something."

I said to Leigh as my smile slowly fades away and my forehead pucker. Leigh quickly raised both his eyebrows while he's still looking at me.

"What is it, Ella?"

Asked Leigh while he's still smiling and looking at me. Oh my god… that kind of expression reminds me of Keita Machida.

"Uh-uhm… wh-what is it again?"

C-can you please doing that expression? I can't focus, Leigh. Why you must imitate Keita's expression from his series Cherry Magic?

"N-never mind. I-I'll just remember it some other night."

I said to Leigh while I'm stuttering and can't look at him straight. Oh, crap. I can feel my cheeks burn!

"Are you okay, Ella? Why is your cheeks turning red?"

Asked Leigh as his smile quickly fades away and he's slowly reaching out to my cheeks. I raised both my eyebrows as I now look at him.

"N-nothing! I-I just feel uhm… hot! Yeah! I feel hot all of a sudden."

I answered as I quickly stand up from the lounge beach chair while nodding, making Leigh stand up as well.

"You sure? I can make you a room with air-condition if you want."

Leigh said as he touches both my shoulders while still looking at me with a trace of worry on his eyes. Wh-what? Wh-why… why is he worrying about… me?

"Yeah. I'm fine, but… why? Why are you worrying that much because of me? I mean, we only met tonight, Leigh. We've only been together in this world for only a few minutes. So… why?"

I asked Leigh while I'm still looking at him but with my shaky eyes this time. My question got Leigh raise both his eyebrows and quickly let go of my shoulders.

"Oh. Uhm… n-nothing. I-it's just uhm… it's uhh… it's part of… mm… it's part of our rules to… gulp… to… to protect the well-being of the person assigned to us! Yes! That's right! Yeah."

Answered Leigh while he's now trying so hard to avoid to look into my eyes. What's wrong with this guy?
