The Guild's head test

Early in the morning, I went to the Capital with second young Lord Ray and general Zed. It took us half a day with carriage to arrive at the Capital city.

Along the way, I see that from young Lord's expression that he really looking forward to go to the Capital. I wonder what happened to the young Lord? he used to look very reluctant every time he was asked to accompanying the Lord Duke or young Lord Adam.

Not only that, when yesterday I watched over his training with general Zed, and I have to forcing my self to not interfering their training. I'm almost can't hold it and stop their training, but then I saw young Lord's eyes even though there are some frustration but they're full of conviction and what...? excitement? that's certainly new...

They continue to train until noon, when it nearing the lunch time I hurriedly went into the kitchen to check the food then notifying young Lord that it's nearing the time for lunch.

"C'mon zed, it's the knight's guild. can you pick up your pace? you're slower than a snail..."

the sound of an excited young man could be heard in the Capital's Knighthood avenue near the knight's guild building. it was renamed so after the knight's guild built there, because the Armis kingdom take pride of it's best knight army in the continent. it also could be seen that the title that the king granted into his best knight at that time and their descendants known as house of Gladius and house of Lancerion, the two current duke. which both mean Sword and spear, the weapon they mostly use.

'After several inquiries, this kingdom have very few wizards, which is lucky as in a few years the great calamity will began.'

Inside the guild's building, at the receptionist desk.

"Excuse me, is the guild head currently present?" Zed said while trying to look as less fierce as possible

(Receptionist) *intimidated* "gulp, wha... what are your business with the head? are you have an appointment with head?"

(Zed) "No, we're not. and I don't think we need it with this here." zed presenting Gladius main household's badge to the guild's receprionist.

When the receptionist see the badge, he feels surprised then hurriedly said "I am sorry sir, i... i will told the head about your pres *bite his tongue* auch."

"uh, are you alright?"

(receprionist) "hi am fhine hang kyu." (i am fine, thank you)

*A few moments later*

Ray stood in front of the knight's guild head, he looks full of vitality despite his age. His demeanor and vigor still made him look like a great warrior if not for some of his white hair showing, others would think that he still around 30s.

(guild's head) "So this boy here that want to take the class advancment quest huh? why do you want to be a knight boy?"

"Yes, guild's head. It's indeed me the one who want to take the class advancement quest, and please don't call me boy, as i'm already 13 years old."

(guild's head) "Hahaha, act like an adult huh Gladius boy? okay then, you also can call me Sir Thomas. And you haven't answer me bo... *cough* young Ray."

Ray clearly annoyed by his way to adress him 'he clearly did it on purpose'

"I just wanna get stronger, my whole families are also knight anyway. mind you?"

(Thomas) "So just because your families are knights that also mean that you'll make a decent knight? i don't think so young man" *narrowing his eyes*

(Zed) "Sir thomas, can we just skip the formalities? let's just start young lord adam's advancement task." Zed start to interjecting when he see their conversation turning to the bad way.

(Thomas) "hohoo~ okay then, to become a knight you first have to prove your strength. wait at the training hall underground, your opponent shall be there shortly. You don't have to win because he is stronger than you as he already become a knight for a year and half, i'll still judge your capability so don't just give up along the way *smirk*."

'Better pour some exp to my class first then.'

Ray put 80 exp for his knight apprentice class and maxed it, an apprentice class is a special one because you need mentor to get one, it only has one level and upon maxed it will give you one Attribute point unlike other class that only give one AP per two levels.

'Alright, one step closer to reach my target'

"You don't need to worry about that Sir Thomas, all you need to think about now is... How to find an excuse to save your face later"

(Thomas)"we'll see then..."

Zed felt as if he saw some spark created between his young lord and the knight's guild head 'must be my imagination...'

(Thomas) "gulp... is my old eyes playing a trick on me?"

his eyes bulging in disbelieve, he doesn't believe what he saw earlier. A fragile looking boy won overwhelmingly against one of his proud pupils. Another fact that challange his sanity was he won in ONE EXCHANGE! his pupils that he painstakingly taught from todler until become the proper knight, lose from a boy that even haven't got a proper knight class!

his view of the world has been overturned by this young boy. No, by this young man.

*few moments earlier*

"Is it here?"

(Thomas) "Yes, it is. And the one who will be your opponent is my pupil ,Van Radzia."

(Radz) "you can call me just Radzia or Radz."

"Then you can call me Adam as well. *nod* "

Ray felt intrigued about what kind of strength this man before him posses to make that old Thomas so proud of him.

(Thomas) "Okay, both of you get ready and stood by the line that drawn one meter apart. i'll toss this coin upwards, and when it touch the ground you can immediately begin." After he said so, he toss the coin then

When the coin touch the ground Ray immediately take a step in and move his sword upward from the bottom and hit Radz's chin
