EVE

"I walked out to see the moon what a lovely sight I hope I wouldn't see mother's tears today".Eve paused as she sighed and opened the door, as usual the floor was cold as ever the winter had turned her feet red. The fireplace looked dusty the book shelf was crooked and was supported by old books gotten from the attic.

Mom was staring blankly at the window, she hasn't said a word since dad left Over 5years I couldn't stop hating myself for letting his hand go he didn't look at me before he took the bus to........... somewhere.

For about the first year he left, mom would look at the window and tell me 'it just a little time he would come back'.

I kept asking why she never moved on she told me you don't understand love I felt she was in a love string where she was the puppet .

I started working shifts in different stores but particularly I worked in old lady MC'Lenardin bookstore so mom would eat she couldn't continue cleaning floors for ever it was disturbing.

That fateful day Eve had to rearrange every section by name she fell countless number of times, Lady lense as she was known by the town because she had collections of glasses to match every outfit she wore she had no children as they said but she adopted the town. She called them her children but this day she called Eve and said "Eve my dear I got a boy about your age why don't you meet him". Eve knew every one was her boys so Lady lense gave an address and hugged her saying " my boy will be coming soon probably I would be gone by then so put your time to good use".

QUESTIONS FLOODED HER HEAD

She replied"Ma'am actually I don't think this is appropriate i believe am not the right one for your boy regardless there were many ladies in the town they went to school,I only read from this store so I don't think am good enough" . Lady lense didn't say a word this 80years old lady smiled softly and mumbled ' it's just a matter of time'.
