2b's POV

I pant as I collapsed onto my knees, using my sword to help me steady myself.

"We won." whispered 9s

The battle was over, we won. Not a single machines was alive as most of them lay destroyed. Most of us were tired and the rest of the Resistance camp came to help us. Creed walks over to me and he grabs one of my arms and puts it over his shoulder, helping me stand up.

"You did good." he whispered

He helped me get to the Resistance camp which was mostly empty cause most of the androids were outside helping the others. We enter a tent and he helps me lay down on a bed.

"Get some rest, I'll be back with others." said Creed

He starts heading out of the tent but he suddenly collapses onto the floor.

"Creed!" I called out

I got off the bed and quickly picked him and played him on my lap, holding his head against my chest.

"Creed is hungry and thirsty." said Pod 042

"What does he need?" I asked

"Proposal get water immediately." replied Pod 942

"Creed stay with me." I said

Creed mumbles something but I couldn't tell what he was saying. I tried to lay him down on the bed and removed his vest.

"I'll get some water just hang in there." I told Creed

Creed slowly nods and I ran out of the tent and headed for the stream.

"Pod give me a bottle or a cup."

Pod 042 just takes out a cup from his infinite storage and I fill it up with water. I headed back to the camp and gave Creed the water. He slowly drinks it and finishes everything in the cup.

"Thanks." he faintly whispers

"How are you feeling?" I asked

"I'll be fine, go back out there and help the others." he whispered

"I'm not leaving you in this state." I quickly replied

"There are others who need your help a lot more." he whispered back

I look at him as his were closed and his breathing was shallow.

"Plus, I'll live for another day." said Creed

"I'll be back then just get some rest." I said

"Yes ma'am." whispered Creed

I left the tent and hurried back to the battlefield to help the others. Avery was there helping out a wounded android get onto a stretcher.

"Avery." I called out

"Hey I didn't see you before what happened?" she asked

"Oh Creed helped me get back to the camp." I replied

"Creed's alive?" asked Avery as she looked at me confused.

"Yes." I replied, "But he's not doing so well." I said

"What do you mean?" she asked

"He's hungry." I replied

Avery looked at me and sighed.

"I'm going to go check on him." said Avery

She heads for the camp so I get to work and start helping out the other androids with 9s and A2.

Creed's POV

I lay still on the bed listening to the silent humming of the wind. I closed my eyes and just imagined how life would have been being one of the last human standing. I hear someone enter my tent but I don't open my eyes as I just assumed that it was 2b.

"You're still alive huh?" said a female voice that didn't belong to 2b

My eyes shot open to see Avery standing next to my bed looking down on me.

"Captain?" I whispered

She pulls out a chair and sits next to my bed. She then takes out a knife and starts to inspect it.

'What is she going to do?'

"Remember Private Gally?" she asked

I didn't respond as I was scared of what was going to happen.

"Such a great kid, always nice and cheerful to all of us." continued Avery

Private Gally was a name I remember clearly. He was one of the most respected soldiers in the company.

"I remember the day he was recruited, he accidentally dropped all of his stuff and started frantically picking them up, apologizing for the mistake." said Avery, "Ever since that day he and I started getting closer, we were even the same age but I liked to call him kid."

'She had feelings towards him?'

"And that day, he pushed me to the ground and instead of me getting shot, he got shot." said Avery, "I held his head in my arms as he was losing a lot of blood. Twice, he was shot twice."

She stabs the pillow my head was resting on and I saw tears of anger come out of Avery's eyes.

"If you didn't cowardly run away he would have still been alive." she growled

My eyes were looking straight at hers, my breathing was getting frantic from fear.

"He kept crying telling me he didn't want to die." she continued

"I-I'm so-"

"Shut the fuck up." she cuts me off, "I desperately want to kill you right now cause the enemy didn't kill him, you did."

I look to my side and I see her hand shaking on the handle of the knife, at any moment she cut just cleaning slit my throat. She grabs the collar of my shirt and lifts me up to her face, so close I could see her eyes burning with hatred.

"If anything happens to any of these androids because of your cowardliness, I'll make sure I kill you slowly and very painfully, you'll be crying and begging me to kill you already." growled Avery

I don't respond as she continues looking at me in the eye with the intent to kill me.

"Avery, what's going on?" came a female voice

I looked and saw the twins, Devola and Popola standing at the entrance of the tent.

"Nothing." she replied

She lets go of my shirt and pulls out her knife from the pillow and left the tent. I let out my breath from holding it in from the fear of dying.

"Creed are you okay?" asked Popola

I nodded and wiped my sweat off of my forehead.

'I can't let her know.'

"If you have anything to worry about we're here just call us." said Devola

I nodded and gave them a weak smile before they turned and left. And when they left 2b, 9s and A2 entered the tent.

"Here Creed eat this." said 2b

She hands me a fish that was still alive, fidgeting around as 2b grabbed it from its tail.

'This girl really doesn't know what food is.'

I gave them a weak smile and I struggled to sit up so 9s helps me sit up.

"Uhhh, you need to kill the fish." I whispered

2b sheathes her sword and stabs the fish like it was nothing. My eyes widened in shock and in complete confusion.

"There." said 2b

"Uhhh, do you how to cook it?" I asked

"Proposal, put the fish in fire." said Pod 042

"Wouldn't that completely burn the fish?" asked A2

"Well you need to like put it on a plate and put it on top of a fire not in it." I whispered

"Okay, I'll be right back." said 2b

"So how did you survive out there?" asked 9s

"Oh I just kept running away." I whispered

"What about the blood on the walls?" asked A2

"Oh that so uhh, there was this android in armor with this helmet on, I tried to warn her that the machines were coming but she immediately attacks me." I whispered

"So you killed the android?" asked 9s

"Well, her eyes were flashing red and she attacked me." I replied

"An infected android." said 9s

"There were two of them." I whispered

"There are still infected androids out there so we have to be careful." said 9s

I nodded in agreement.
