Awakening

Liliane woke up from the noise of the shower and a unusually strong scent of pheromone seeping from the closed bathroom door. She stood up and saw the electric clock, reading the time [1:00AM]. Liliane immediately noticed the absence of Garen from her side so, she hurried to check where the noise continued to resound.

"Garen?..." She asks.

"Lili... Don't come close... I'm not safe... Please go back to your room and make sure to lock it..." Garen spoke in such a hoarse voice that Liliane simply couldn't ignore it.

Garen heard the door to his room, making a creaking sound and it closes. He breathed a sigh of relief until he heard it creaks once more after a while.

"Take these inhibitors." Liliane stood near the door and saw the drenched state that Garen was in.

Garen's eyes were like a golden jewel shining in light. It glowed like that of a mystical beast. Sharp canine fangs were showing as he speaks.

Garen took the inhibitors and fell to his knees. Liliane hurried to support him but, Garen panicked as he is still emitting a lot of Alpha pheromones.

"I'm fine. I could handle this much." Liliane continued to suppprt him and gave him instructions.

"We'll go meet someone I know who could help us. Can you stand up?" Liliane asks and Garen nods in response then proceeds to stand up.

Liliane helped to cover Garen in many layers of clothing and blankets to hide his pheromone. The two hurried to walk out of their room.

They passed through the hallway, going inside a space reserved for V.I.P.s of sort. The door has a digital security where Liliane scanned her hand to have it open.

The two were guided inside by a man who seems not too older than them. The man was almost the same build as Garen but, taller. An alpha that Liliane knows. As Garen was about to let thoughts run through his head, the older Alpha warned Garen.

"Don't ever let that Alpha instinct get the better of you." The older alpha's eyes glowed in golden hue having bloody streaks around the edge of his pupil, intimidating pheromones are emitted.

Garen immediately blocked the older Alpha but, Liliane assured him.

"He won't harm us." Liliane says.

Garen obediently followed Liliane and the three entered an elevator that went five floors down which was exceeding two more floors down the supposed ground floor of their building.

The elevator door opened and the room was filled with blue light from many screen. Garen was guided to a chair and he sat down. They removed Garen's tops and placed many electrodes all over his body.

"Yuhan-Nii..." Liliane called the older alpha with a sense of familiarity.

"Liliane, go stay on the other room for now." Yuhan says and Liliane was escorted by other women to another room.

Garen was reassured to know that even though he is surounded by strangers, these people seem to care for Liliane and she also trust them.

"His blood vessels are extremely damaged, his alpha instincts are taking over to heal himself..." Another alpha behind the blue screen analyzed and spoke in a voice with shock and disbelief.

"This living monster..." Yuhan murmured and Garen was almost triggered.

"Does the system know?" Yuhan asks the other alpha.

"Nothing recorded." The other Alpha replied.

One monitor started to beep continuously and loud. Other monitors soon followed and it was quite alarming. The beeping was loud enough to be heard to the other room, making Liliane panick in worry.

"YUHAN-NII, WHAT'S HAPPENING?!?" Liliane screamed.

"Tie him." Yuhan commanded and two other alpha approached with chains and tied him up.

Garen's chest felt suffocating as he attempts to restrain his own body too but, his bones started to twist and snap one by one, making him writhe in agony. He bites on to his lips to contain his screams, his throat burning and saturated with the taste of rust from his blood.

"YUHAN ANSWER ME!!!" Liliane cried from the other room, banging desperately to the door that was locked.

The room was soon enveloped by an extremely strong and dominating alpha pheromones, so strong that it was as if attempting to kill other alphas present.

Yuhan and the others wore some gas mask to protect themselves from the murderous pheromone that enveloped the room. His continues movement snapped the electrodes from his body. Yuhan and the others had to step back.

Garen's fangs continued to resemble that of the beast even more, getting longer and sharper. His fingers extends and his nails resembled that of a blade. Every vein is popping on his skin. His eyes were glowing madly in a horrifying golden hue and his pupils also gone sharper. His entire form starts to shape itself into a monster.

"Garen Rine, you must control yourself. Never become a monster."

"You wouldn't want to harm Liliane, right?" Yuhan says.

As soon as he heard Liliane's name, Garen's eyes looked human for a split second. He pants desperately as he fights his own instincts and calmed himself. In the brief moment he was calm, Yuhan took this chance to inject Garen a specific drug that immediately that helped calming him and slowly reverting his form back to normal.

"He's fine now, Liliane. Just wait in that room." Yuhan says and the banging noise stopped.

They monitored Garen's condition and waited until he finally shown signs of sanity.

"Is... Liliane... okay?..." Garen's voice was hoarse, broken, and painful.

"She is safe." Yuhan replied, though seemingly calm, his tone showed enmity towards Garen.

Garen breathed a deep sigh of relief and his eyes glowed like that of golden-honey dew. Garen's vision slowly enveloped to darkness.

"Garen Rine, you must never tell a soul of this." Yuhan's voice was the last thing Garen heard.

The next thing that he opened his eyes, the world was no longer the same to him.

"Garen... How are you?..." Liliane asked worriedly.

Garen panicked, afraid that his form might still be of a monstrous beast. He hurried to cover his face but, Liliane carefully held each arm of the boy and slowly moved it away from his face. She then saw Garen's eyes glowing in the most purest golden hue.

Yuhan appeared from behind them and Liliane held some space between her and Garen.

"We've updated the security of your space, they wouldn't notice that you guys went out." Yuhan says then proceeded to give more updates.

"We've also prepared a new bracelet, updated its encoded datas and format. We also changed the drug that it will inject to you in case that a outbreak occurs once more."

Yuhand hands over the same-looking bracelet that the verse have given to Garen and other students. Garen wears this to his wrist.

Yuhan also handed over some contact lenses of the same color to Garen's normal eye color. Garen was puzzled at first until Yuhan also gave him a mirror. Garen looked into the mirror and indeed saw the state of his eyes. It continued to glow in such a vibrant, golden hue.

"Wear that when you go out later." Yuhan says.

"Those golden eyes are the mark of a truly awakened alpha. You must never let other people see it." Yuhan added.

Garen turns towards the Yuhan.

"Who are you?" Garen asks.

Yuhan's eyes flickered from a golden hue to one that is bloody-crimson.

"Yuhan. Yuhan Verse."
