Chapter 40 : Aloet

The City of Aloet was bustling as usual , students could be seen walking around the city everywhere holding books , eating food in stalls , running towards their academies . This would be a usual site any of the residents here even though there would be some tourists but would blend into the sheer volume of the crowd . But today was different .

People could see a beautiful blue haired woman in luxurious yet simple clothes who any one could feel that this person was part of some royalty or a part of very strong organization , walking around the streets of Aloet with a tall warrior who had himself covered with ragged armor . Everyone noticed them wherever they walked around , many felt tempted to to approach that woman but their inner instincts stopped them from doing so screaming she is dangerous .

Wherever the two went people instinctively made way for them as they could see how the eyes of the woman looked at the rouge warrior , the stall owners were happy to sell products to them and the young hot blooded people were jealous of the ragged warrior .

As the two were moving around a elf came in front of them relatively shorter than Cain but closer in height to Aurora and bowed slightly in front of her with a sign of respect and spoke

"May I know who you are visiting our City , We of the Aloet family will help you have a splendid stay here ?"

Aurora completely ignored him and was eating food at another stall while he was bowing , the stall owner was frightened and that could be seen on his face , Cain looking at this patted on the elf's shoulder and spoke

"We are just normal tourists , you all needn't worry "

The elf looked at Cain in disgust hit his arm shrugging him off and one of the two people behind the elf took out a sword and pointed at Cain's neck as the elf spoke

"Such disgusting filth touching me , Tsk . I should throw away these clothes because of you"

While the other elf pointing a sword at him spoke

"Are you looking down on the Aloet household , even if you're visitors . you will be cut down if you overstep you filthy warrior"

Aurora looking at this with a smile shouted

"Yes ! cut down that warrior! he deserves it !" she shouted as she laughed at Cain .

Cain saw everyone was looking at him like he committed a huge crime . The people infront of him were strong the two people behind him gave out an aura of A and B ranks while the elf who seemed young was giving out an aura of a Expert- Rank , so this elf most likely is past 60 to 70 years of age and as he can make out the elf was a mage it would be likely easier for that person to reach Expert rank as elf's were innately good in controlling mana .

Elfs in this world were very much adept in controlling and manipulating mana , so they given having a good bloodline could became a Expert rank mage easily but most elf's combine their innate ability to control mana with swordsmanship or any other battle arts to become a Mage martial artist . Though this would take a lot more time to improve , it would be easier and more worth it for them in general compared to other species .

Looking at everyone with a person pointing a sword at his neck , Cain in a relaxed tone spoke

"Now calm down , you wouldn't want a fight in the central of the streets right ? just let us go on our own business"

The other guard next to the elf pointed a sword at him as the Elf spoke

"You disgusting insect , you're hands should be cutoff for touching me . And it looks like you're also disturbing that lady"

The Elf walked up to Aurora and as he was going to hold her hand to greet her as the two guards were pointing swords at Cain he spoke in a dreadful tone

"Take one step closer to her and I will skin you all out alive"

The guards shivered as the heard Cain's voice , Aurora looked at Cain provcatively as she could feel how angry he was that the elf was getting closer to her and started to smile and the elf who was little far from him in anger shouted

"Guards! cutoff his limbs "

The Guards who were scared but attacked Cain with their swords , but within an instant he grabbed their heads and smashed them into the ground making them faint or maybe even death .

Everyone in the street froze as they looked at two powerful guards be smashed to the ground in an instant , and in a instant Cain dissapeared from that place and appeared next to Aurora who he pulled towards himself , without resisting Aurora hugged as she spoke

"You become really jealous you know"

"Maybe , I don't care . But this pig is coming to hold your hand "

And coming close to Aurora's face he spoke in a quiet tone

"I don't care whoever they are , if i think they are getting close to you with inappropriate intentions . I'll break them right there , you're mine and only I have the right to be with you"

Aurora laughed a little and spoke

"True , even i feel the same. But what will you do about this pig"

Cain could see the elf who froze due to fear but now started to chant some spell , people in the street started to go away , the guards or the local army started to encircle them . While the elf now levitated in the air he spoke

"Kneel and cut your own limbs if you want to leave here alive , though you maybe imprisoned for life and that woman , she will suffer too"

As spheres of purplish black mana swirled above his palms , the army which encircled them were of 100 armed spearmen and knights of B and C ranks and gave off an aura of hunters which were looking at their prey .

Aurora in an instant jumped off and sat on a nearby roof as she looked at Cain in the center of the encirclement , few of the guards were shocked but were currently focused on Cain who was in a ragged armor . Cain looked at all of them leaving out a sigh , spoke as he looked at both the elf and the gaurds

"This is my last warning , you leave or you die and I'm not even intrested to explaining anything so this is your last chance "

Cain after saying this gave out an a suffocating aura of an A rank , some of the guards kneed while others shivered , the elf looking at this and his eyes turning red in anger shouted

"Kill That Filth !"

Portals started to be formed in front of the knights as the stabbed into them the swords dissapeared and stabbed Cain , Cain looking at this started to laugh and spoke

"Thank you "

Cain then rushed towards the encirclement as the elf was shooting purple beams at him dodging them and started to slice the knights in half in a single strike , though they were able to defend against him for some time using some tactics and formation , Cain cleared and killed all of them through sheer force .

Within few minutes the whole force of 100 knights was slaughtered by Cain , who had a few swords stabbed into him .

The Elf was frantically blasting huge beams at Cain as they created huge marks on the ground wherever they hit but Cain dogged all of them and started to shoot ground bullets at him using ground manipulation and most of them were redirected back to Cain through portals the elf had created .

Cain then threw his sword towards the elf and shot himself in the air towards the elf using ground manipulation to raise him suddenly above the ground and using airstep .

The elf seeing the sword created a portal infront of him to redirect from him but without noticing Cain , who had jumped now latched on to the elf and set him on flames .

They both fell to the ground as the elf shouted in agony and screamed for help , Cain stood infront of him and spoke

"Well , I gave you all a chance "

As his cries for help echoed and started to die down a huge portal appeared near Cain and Aurora who were sitting on the roof of a stall which was closest to where the elf was burning and were sitting like couples infront of a campfire .

A more aged elf and a lot more soldiers started to come out of the portal accompanied by Thorkell . The aged Elf which looked at the corpse burning started release a heavy dreadful aura which suffocated many soldiers there as he shouted

"Army ! we will purge those two evil creatures who slaughtered our brethren and killed my son"

As the army marched towards Cain and aurora who looked at them in a little pity and as the aged elf started to gather a huge amount of mana to launch an attack to them a very powerful aura enveloped the whole area .

This Aura was so dreadful many of the soldiers fainted , the elf was also suppresed as he turned towards Thorkell and spoke in a grim voice

"What do you think you're doing !?"

"Well , first let's calm down and talk about what happened"
