Chapter 36 : Leaving

Thorkell , Elaine , Rebecca , Aurora and Cain were joined by Thomas Rudd who was the representative of the kingdom who was helping guide them . Two cars which were hovering in air came to pick up the crew to attend the party , these cars looked like futuristic hover cars , but Cain could feel several runes and magic circles were drawn on it . The former four sat in one car while Cain and Thomas sat in another .

Thomas was looking at a young man ahead of him who was looking at the car like a curious kid laughing a little he spoke

"You're Cain right ? don't act like that you'll come out as a fool . These are hover cars which run on magic stones made by mages , the fuel itself is very costly so it's a extremely rare sight to see this "

"Yes , so i feel there are runes and magic circles which convert the mana to wind magic to propel them ahead"

"You are correct and even to drive this you'll need a mage , it's inefficient but that's what the high society usually wants and our Kingdom isn't much developed in the Magic engineering field so it's very less while in other much more richer Kingdoms have highly invested in it "

"Magic engineering ? so is it something like using magic to create products for general use"

"Yes something like that , and looking at you i can see you catch on things quickly . Since you're selected by Thorkell himself you will have a good life but Kid never let your guard from now the others will start to coerce you to help or collude with them"

"Why aren't you doing so ?"

"Oh , well I find it tedious and want the envoys who came gone which will bring my headache down that's all . Working for the high folks is never easy , they can cut you off for the most trivial reasons"

"Well I do know that"

"Looks like we reached the main house lets go , and stay with Thorkell I will need to discuss with the attendees of this party . For a man of his reputation he is surprisingly calm"

The Ball was held in a huge hall while Thomas , Aurora , Rebecca and Elaine interacted with everyone Cain and Thorkell were standing at the side as they observed everything which was happening .

Cain could also see Robert Zervin the Duke was interacting with everyone as many people were trying to speak formally and trying to curry favor of others .

Cain didn't particularly get any interest in what was going on as he could see them as just unappealing as to his core Cain only cared about things which were fun at what gave him pleasure but this was not related to any .

Cain discussed lightly with Thorkell about what was the plan they would go ahead with , Thorkell informed him that the day after tomorrow that they would leave for the Capital of the Wulfric Kingdom from where they would take a teleportation portal to Raventrix kingdom then would move ahead to the United Republic of Frida [URF]. He also informed that to reach URF with the current plan it would likely take 8 to 9 months to reach there.

Cain after sometime left the Ball hall as he went and sat near the steps at the parking space , Thorkell remained there itself as he was primarily Aurora's bodyguard . Next to him a blonde man came and sat next to him and spoke

"So is everything alright ?"

with a little glance at the man Cain spoke

"Yeah it's fine , tell Olivia I will try to meet her tomorrow so not to worry much if she is and even if I'm not able to make it I can survive"

"Yeah , I know . I can still remember how the state of the ground was after your spar . No wonder Master helped you"

"Yep , so are you her son or something I mean you look too young for that and you're always with her"

"No , It's just I have nowhere else to go and I'll look forward to fighting you in the tournament "

"You know that I can crush you right" Cain spoke as he saw Liam getting up , Cain's words didn't have any arrogance or any emotion it was just few words

"Well , I know and it is for now " Liam saying this left.

Cain got up feeling bored and a little empty he headed out of the Zrervin mansion alone and headed towards the adventurer's guild using flash step.

He met up with Venturax there and told him that he would be leaving with the envoys and also told him to inform Miles about the same . Venturax gave him a card of a informant Agency he was well acquainted with and told him to use them if needed .

Cain thanked him and simply sat in the Guild's food area as people were eating and drinking , seeing the strength of Aurora's group and the way they handled mana had intrigued him and also made Cain realize that he could be killed or captured if anyone of Aurora's caliber attacks him . Cain was disappointed but he didn't feel sad for any reason but he felt calm , a calm of emptiness he was neither depressed that they overpowered him nor too happy that he gained a person like Aurora who would walk by his side . He was just feeling that he was taking what was his .

Cain then started to play with the glass on his table through telekinesis to help alleviate his boredom . But after sometime he came out of the guild which was now almost empty except a few staff and walked around the city as the moon shined in the dark night .

Cain was just walking around and started go around roofs thinking what to do for the future . First of all he had to change his looks , Cain wore whatever clothes he could get not even worrying about it , second he needed to train and absorb more souls to strengthen his body and most of all increase his senses so that he would be able to detect any type of presence .

Cain was then lying on a roof of a tall building for sometime as he looked at the sky , it would be around midnight now as two people came next to him and one started to stomp on his stomach . He didn't resist much , one of them left as the other sat next to him and spoke

"Why did you leave ?"

"Since I was going to leave , I thought I should atleast go to the brothel once "

The person next to him started to get angry and a chilling aura started to leak from that person , but they calmed down suddenly and started to smell Cain intensely , with a little pity in her eyes she spoke

"Cain , I don't mean to offend you or anything , but if it's what you truly wish i can understand "

"What ? Why ?"

"I mean , I can only smell scent of men from you so... if I'm the problem I can understand "

"Wait wait wait wait , What!! Aura what are you talking about"

"Since you said you went to a brothel and only scent of men is there on you so... I can try to change myself though It will be extremely difficult"

Cain got up and spoke to Aurora in a grim tone

"Please stop , I'm sorry I just wanted to tease you . You're fine just the way you are ok please "

Aurora looked at him with more pity and spoke

"Cain , you don't have to lie . I can understand , liking the same sex is not a crime . Don't worry I know you're telling this so in not hurt , I've heard it's possible to change the gender of the body though it will be tough I will do it for you"

Cain was terrified now , when he saw aurora she was speaking with a look of pity in her eyes. Without knowing what to do Cain took her hand as he bowed to her he had her hand on his head as he spoke

"Please understand , I'm not gay so you needn't do anything . You-.. you're my type ok , you're personality and you're body . I might sound like scum but I.. I.. Want to do it whenever I see you and since i don't have complete control over my abilities i might go berserk and pull you off . That was also the reason why i left the ball , all those people talking to you and how beautiful you looked I might've just taken off while taking you with me "

As Cain was speaking in a apologetic tone he started to feel hot and heavy breaths on him and as he looked up as Aurora's hand slid to the side of his cheek , her face was completely red with eyes that looked like a predator looking at its prey and with a wide distorted smile as she drooled a little spoke

"Who was stopping you , you can have me anytime "

Cain looking at her was captivated at the site of her state , he pulled her in and started to smell her hair , but then suddenly got up and spoke

"Go back to the mansion , I need to do some work "

Cain used Flash step and headed out leaving Aurora alone , looking at Cain go away she spoke

"I thought I might br crazy and controlling , but him Ahhh..." Aurora shivered as she blushed a lot .She then got up and headed back to the mansion

Cain who ran away went directly to Sander Firetooth's house and started to bang his door , Firetooth came out with a huge hammer covered in flames as he kicked the door and spoke

"Which Cunt!! is disturbing me so late at night "

"Hey cool down it's me Cain"

"Cain, this is no time to come shut up and get lost !"

"Wait Calm down , I'm leaving this city early morning I need a armor of my preffered design please let me check them and buy them from your pile of waste armors "

"What!! get lost !"

"Please , I'll give 20 gold per peice"

Firetooth suddenly calmed down and spoke

"50 Gold plus 100 gold on the total "

"Fine "

Firetooth was happy with the deal that he stopped shouting and Cain in to take whatever he wanted .

After 4 hours of picking and selecting Cain paid 5200 Gold and absorbed all those equipment into his war god's ring . Since the ring just needed blueprints and could make any material it had to that Would Cain didn't worry as he would get top quality armor .

It was morning 6 as he headed back to the mansion where they would leave at the morning .

When he reached there most of them were surprised while Aurora was disappointed as they saw Cain come with a fully worn rouge like armor with a sword and a small shield. Looking at their expressions Cain spoke

"What ?"
