Chapter 1 : The Start of New Journey

"Urgh..."

Where...?

Where am I? Eh? I looked at my surrounding. I am currently under a tree on the top of a hill where I can see a great landscape and a town that looks somewhat medieval. But even so, this should not be the place where I should

That's right... I was home, playing in my computer like always... then...

Ah, now I remember. I see. So this is what it feels when they are transported into isekai, eh? I now remember the situation as I recovered from my confusion.

I was just playing games in my computer, same as always. After all, I'm a NEET, a trash in society. Isekai sometimes depicted of a guy being transported into another world or dying in the hands of the infamous Truck-kun, and I think I fit in the latter.

Not that I would've even imagine Truck-kun visiting my house that day so that 'he' could take my life! I screamed in my mind. I mean, it's totally insane, right?

"I've seen many animes and memes about Truck-kun taking your life on the street, but come on, visiting your house to take my life? Seriously?"

Okay, I need to remain calm. After a minute of trying to regain my calm, I looked at the landscape again that I could see at the top of the hill, and looked at the town. And, sure enough, I felt the familiarity. Well, of course,

"That's my birthplace, after all."

Yes. While I've awakened my memories, it's not like I also lost my memories of this body. However, the memories are meshing inside my head that it adds up in my confusion.

Okay, I can't be confused forever. I need to get ahold of myself.

Feeling a little calm again, I stoop up and walked towards the town. Well, it's actually not a town, but the city of Negissa. I mean, sure, it's much more smaller than some big cities in the Earth, but it's could still take a day of walking if you walk from east of the city to the west.

The hill is just near Negissa, and our house is also not far away from the main gate. After passing the gate and a bit of walking, I faced a three story house that might be seen in some parts of Europe.

"Our house sure is big, huh..." I mumbled while entering the door, and then a voice called towards me.

"Welcome back, Zen. Did you go to the hill again today?"

"Yes. I'm home, mom."

"Alright, now go and wash your hands, we'll have lunch soon."

"Okay," I answered. She was my mom, Eris. She had long silver hair in contrast to her beautiful face and fairly large chest. I'm kinda proud to be her son. Or rather...

Zen, huh...

Zen Akroth. That's my full name. Some of the memories are still hazy, I think it will last some days to be clear. While thinking that, I have finished washing my hand. I came to the dining room and sat on one of the chairs, remembering that this is where I always sit.

Sat also on one of the chairs is a man wearing gold necklaces and bracelets, with a striking red hair that match his handsome face. That is my father, Glenn Akroth.

"Mm, what's up, Zen?" Perhaps noticing that I'm looking at him, he asked me while tilting his head.

"No, it's nothing."

" I see. Well, if you have any concern, just talk to me, alright?"

"Lunch is ready! Let's eat! Algen, come down! We're gonna eat!" Mom called for my younger brother, which answered,

"I'm coming down."

After Mom and Algen comes to the table bringing the food, we ate together. While we're eating, Dad asked me,

"Ah, right, Glenn, do you have any interest to inherit our business? I've just thought that, since you will be 12 two weeks from now, I could train you to be a good merchant."

"..."

I see. It makes sense that he will ask me that, since I'm the oldest of us siblings. But I don't even have plans now, since I'm still stuck at what should I do now that I've awakened my memories. But while thinking it, a voice complained,

"Nuh-uh! Don't talk business while eating, Glenn! And Zen's still young, so maybe you could postpone talking about that, atleast not when we're eating..."

"Ahaha... you're right. But think it through Zen. I'll wait for your answer."

"Yes, Dad," I answered. After we finished eating, I got up and go to my room. Whew, it's been a long time since I talked like that. As a NEET I mostly just go face my computer in my room and I haven't talked to my parents.

But this time is different. While yes, I haven't talked to my parents many years at my past life, I strangely like to talk to them, and even have fun.

I'll put my guess as because this is a new body with new DNA and new mentality, I thought. While this may be a new world, maybe the concept of DNA still works here. This is just a wild guess though.

After thinking that, I put my mind into another matter I need to do. I have to plan what should I do in my future. Dad just said I'll turn 12 two weeks from now. I have so much time ahead of me so planning it won't make a waste of this second chance to live again.

What I know right now was getting more clearer. However, I still need information. I then looked at one of the sides of my room - a bookshelf. I stood up from my bed and go to the the shelf, looking at my book collection.

If I know right, books should be quite pricey here, because there is no machineries that could make paper easily, so paper are created through manpower.

I still have so many books though, I thought. Then my gaze focused on a book. It was titled "Guide to Magic and It's History". Being interested in it, I took it to my bed and read it. The summary was:

The first pages of this book answered my question of magic existing in this world. Magic is formed with nature and is abundant in this world. Every person born has their own magic too, whether it is big or small. Magic can be casted with the help of skills.

Heh, so there are skills in this world, too, I thought.I continued reading that skills are born with each person and could determine what type of magic or talent they could use. Skills is divided into three parts:

Common Skills, skills in everyday use; Attributive Skills, which consists of magic skills that uses elements like fire, water, etc; and Non-Attribute Skills, and this type of skill is the other combat-type skills like body strengthening and other more.

What's more, skills could be learned by using the correct type of training. However, Attribute Magic and Non-Attribute Skills can't be learned and is decided by birth. However, they could be strengthened by leveling them up. The book also mentioned going into academies to help strengthen it quickly.

"Academy, huh. I want to go to one! It would help me strengthen my magic after all."

Alright, I said in my mind as I decided to go to the academy. As for Dad's business... I could give the inheritance to my younger brother. He also wants it, after all. After deciding that, I read the book and other more until I realised it was now dark.

Thinking about what I could do and magics I could use, I started to become excited on the new journey that is awaiting for me.

I'm sorry if you find this long and boring, as it is my first ever work to ever done and publish. On another note, please like this novel if you enjoyed rhe first chapters!
