Chapter 10 Discord

We were each led into different rooms, I was led to another room where I was handed a form to be filled out

It asked us different things like our names and social identity numbers. In our Job class, of course, we could answer half-heartedly but had to give the general concept of what we could do

I filled in the information and then returned it

"Hmm! Good that will be 100 Game coins" the reception lady said to me

I took out the coins and gave them to her, noticing that she put them in some kind of box, what kind of item was that

"Here! This is your Player ID card"

"You can contact the mission office for any missions that may be available for you"

"Once you reach level 25, you can apply for player funds"

The lady gave a bunch of pointers before I was let go, I noticed the others standing outside

"Hey! I have already accepted the Rare mission, you should go and quickly accept the mission as well" Andrew said as he came out of the mission office

Things are changing too fast, I sighed as I also went in, after depositing another 100 game coins, I was presented with a notification

[Ding! You have joined the Player Association]

[Ding! You have been invited to a Rare chain quest]

[Pave way for the future]

[As the first of players. It's your duty to pave the way for the later generations, Upon Chief's request, you have been tasked with establishing a path between the Granite City A and B through the Novice Village]

'Hmmm, so I will be able to get an epic Weapon for myself once the mission is over, no wonder those association players all have powerful equipment, perhaps they have gained it from completing the first half of the mission which is joining City B with Novice Village'

I thought as I made my way back to my group

"Alright, guys! Now that we have all joined, it's time we head to the meetup point, you should all have received a message in the group chat" Andrew said

I pulled up my Group Chat to notice that there was a new group on it. Named as Granite City Player Association

We didn't wait and set off for the meetup point

By the time we arrived. It was already crowded, nearly two hundred or more players had joined

This means all of them are above at least level 13 to be exact

*Clap Clap*

"Everyone!" soon enough everyone became

Quiet as a middle-aged man followed by a few others arrived grabbing everyone's attention

"Is that Bobby!!"

"Yeah! It's him"

"What he doing here?"

"Idiot! He is also a player, who wouldn't want to increase their strength in this new world "

"He is the president of the Granite City Player Association and behind him are two of the strongest in Granite City"

Once everyone became still, Bobby spoke, "Alright everyone, we will paving a way from the village to the Granite City A, you all must cooperate during the mission and no infighting is allowed, anyone who refuses to cooperate will be kicked out of the mission"

Bobby spoke loudly

He then started organizing the players into different groups, I was surprised by the way this guy handled the situation, I knew I wouldnt be able to control such a huge number of people

Fortunately, our group was still together, and we were tasked as Vanguards considering our strengths, all I can say is that this Bobby guy has some insights

Among all the people present, I could feel a few people were strong, including Andrew and they were all in front where the pressure was the strongest

With the crowd ready, we began moving with firm steps as those behind us kept paving a muddy road and we were tasked with killing any goblins or other monsters in the perimeter

In simple words, we have to make sure that there are no monsters within a kilometer of the road which was no easy task and considering I was only getting 10 exp after the exchange skill was activated was another matter

Those monsters that are at level 10 and below only give me a single exp while those below 20 and above 10 give me 10 exp

The hundreds of players kept moving in the direction of the Granite City A and cleared any monsters that came our way

Most of us were easily able to deal with monsters considering everyone was above level 13 so the task was easy but time-consuming

It took us nearly Four days to complete the mission and many things happened along the way but we finally completed the mission

I could see the towering building in the distance

'Sigh! It's finally over! I can finally get my hands on that Epic rank weapon' I thought with a smile as we finally stepped onto the Granite City A grounds

We were met with a horde of people waiting for us on the other side of the forest

People from the Player Association, the Emergency services and much more

However, that wasn't needed as we also had some healers among us so most of us were safe, particularly my group which had three heavy hitters and me

[Ding! Mission completed]

[Ding! You have received a Rare Grade Flame Sword]

[Ding! Exchange for Ten Rare Grade Flame swords or One Epic Scroch Sword]

"Give me the Scorch Sword, it's time I get a weapon that can take my strength" I wasn't lying when I said that as I had already burned through a few Uncommon grade swords and spears

Everyone who participated in the mission let out collective gasps as they excitedly examined their new weapons

"Haha! The reward I got is worth it!"

"Oh, man! I got a Rare Poison Thorn Whip, but I am an Archer"

Several people voiced their problems, Allen calmly strapped the weapon to his side, Andrew and the others were busy among themselves so he didn't bother and decided to leave first

He did notice some people coming forward from the Player Association but it wasn't a problem for him

Allen calmly sat in a room he had booked as he opened his switched phone, the phone began buzzing with messages

Most were from his mother who kept massaging him, asking if he was alright, the others were from governments Player Association and stuff

Allen put the phone aside as he first opened the Traders platform, and to his surprise

He immediately noticed a few rare Weapons on sale and bought them

Using the Exchange, he turned all the weapons into Epic Weapons easily

Now he had four Epic weapons

One was gained by the mission, the other three were just bought from the trading platform

This no doubt caused some surprise as the weapons suddenly disappeared from the platform despite their enormous prices

"Who is this tycoon that keeps buying all the expensive stuff"

"Yeah! That Moon Bow was priced at a whopping two thousand, I don't believe someone has so many coins"

Allen pushed away the window and took a look at the weapons he bought

Can replace arrows with magic arrows, requires magic to cast]

[Gauntlets made by dwarves, +10 strength stat, each attack sends out vibration that deals 'Stun' to weak willed enemies, 10 % per cent critical damage and critical chance]

[Sword made by the Dwarven blade using mithril and magic essence from the scorch Dragon]

[+Plus 10 to vitality and Strength]

[Deals scorch damage to those hit]

[Crit rate 20 %, Crit Damage 20%]

Allen quickly put on the Gauntlets and put the sword back its scabbard and then started at the leftover weapons for a while

'It's a shame I do not have any storage items, maybe I should ask the association, that box the reception lady is using must be a storage item'

Allen hid the two weapons in the room before he finally exited the hotel, walking through the streets he realized that most of the people were wearing mediaeval clothes except those that didn't have them

After all clothes like these gave extra stats which was good for even those who didn't want to fight

'Let's go and meet my family' Allen thought as he took the subway, his home was in Block T of Granite City A

It didn't take long before he arrived at his destination, entering the block he noticed the gazes of the people around him

He also noticed some kids playing around with their powers, two guys were fighting each other by throwing snow at each other

Allen walked past the park and arrived at his home that looked even worse then the other houses in Block T

The pain was falling off from places and even the door was broken with cracks in it
