Raven was shocked that I had somehow found out about her origins but did her best to remain stoic. The problem with her trying to hide this was the fact that she rarely expressed emotions making the few times she did easy to read. Luckily for her I already told M'Shen to not harm her before I revealed that or she would have been dead in her moment of shock.

"Why are you so surprised I even mentioned in a few interviews that I fought with demonic entities many times before arriving in this world. Unless you have been living under a rock this is common knowledge about me. I'm also doing my best to not do what seems logical by my upbringing although this universe seems to delight in testing me"

Raven: And what exactly is the logical thing in your universe? What is testing about this universe?

"Before I answer keep in mind that my universe was far different from yours"

Raven: ...Okay...

"The logical thing to do would be hunt down and exterminate demons, xenos and mutants not the mislabeled Abhumans of this universe but actual mutants with extreme prejudice"

I let my words sink in and I could see the look in her eyes as if truly seeing me for the first time. The weight and meaning of what I exactly meant became clear to her.

Raven: Does this include chil... no, I don't want to know... so why haven't you done that yet even knowing that I am half demon?

"As I said this universe is frustratingly confusing I'm being forced to second guess my every action to not wipe out the abominations that infested the world like I was taught. I see heresy but must turn my head; I'm constantly forced to hold myself back it's honestly maddening. Which is why I busy myself with neutral actions that are for the good of humanity. Now could you answer my question?"

Raven seemed be horrified, conflicted and understanding which was somehow odd. I understood why she was horrified I spoke about genocide as a reasonable solution. As for being conflicted it was easy to determine being the daughter of Trigon and knowing what she was made for. What I don't get is why she had a look of understanding I had a few guesses but nothing concrete to really determine it.

She closed her eyes to collect herself and regain control over her emotions before turning back to me. Her eyes searched my face looking for answer to a question she hadn't asked. She seemed to eventually come to her own conclusion before she decided to finally decided to answer me.

Raven: Because I don't want to be what my father created me for. I train and study almost every day to become the true master of my life and not his puppet. Everytime I help someone I take a little more of his control over me and become closer to who I want to be. I don't think it's a good reason but it is mine I won't let demonic heritage determine who I am.

"As I said before this universe is frustratingly complicated"

<Latveria 3rd person POV>

Dr Doom had been in seclusion during the rise of Black Technology. He was busy conducting research that none but Doom could handle. The research was delicate and supplies were limited for this particular research. It was for one of his many brilliant plans to take over the world.

It wasn't complete yet but but it needed time before he could continue. He decided to look at events affecting the rest of the world outside his kingdom. For the first time Doom was shocked about a seemingly insignificant company appearing out of nowhere creating waves around the world.

Looking deeper he found the owner of said company was looking for a emperor of Humanity. Apparently hailing from a different reality where people saw reason and let their better do what they are supposed to and rule over the masses. In this universe there's is only one person that could be the Emperor of mankind and that is Doom. With such thoughts Doom decided that he would meet with Julian Black a man capable of preforming miracles and has limitless devotion to his Emperor.
