Glamour

This snake had beautiful scales that shifted through seven different colors like a rainbow. It seemed to have whatever length it desired, as it kept changing sizes. This snake would never look the same from one second to the next, making it seem illusory and mysterious. A mighty silver horn was covered in runes on the serpent's forehead. This was no mere serpent but a flood dragon!

This was Isis' Seven-Colored Celestial Serpent combat soul, which had manifested around her shoulders and coiled down her curvaceous body. Her combat soul was able to use Dream Magic. After synchronizing with Isis, it developed an independent consciousness. Meanwhile, Isis also came to possess the bloodline traits of the Seven-Colored Celestial Serpent.

This made their attack coordination nearly perfect.

Kwamé watched as his pack brothers and sister all acted insane where they stood before eventually calming down and looking into the eyes of that beautiful serpent coiled around the man-eating body of the First Lady. He truly felt inferior. A primary force phenomena started to form above everyone's heads.

The primary force here was the 'Clouded Hope' force field. Its radius was over 300 meters and was powerful enough to negate five times the primary force of Isis completely.

"This is getting out of hand," spoke Geb impatiently, glancing at his son. His voice lowered into one that brokered no compromise, "Do control this dear daughter-in-law of mine."

Osiris frowned but swiftly vanished from where he stood. He silently appeared behind his wife like a whisper in the wind. He quickly put his arm around her waist, making Isis' head whip his way. Seeing Osiris' handsome face, Isis momentarily paused. How could she not be startled when she saw her husband's face so close to her? How gently he looked into her eyes as if he would never blame her for being willful because she was his.

However, a strange and soft pink glow emanated from his eyes at that instant. Lady Isis looked enraged and terrified. Half a second later, Isis became docile and pleasant, with a glaze in her eyes. Her aura, the seven-colored celestial serpent, and all the remnant magic totally vanished. Meanwhile, Sek Si released Jody's tongue and collapsed weakly in his arms. Sek's face burned crimson, and she felt as if it was about to pop like a water balloon. She desperately tried to focus her thoughts and her vision.

'What on gaea just happened? It felt like I was a passenger in my own body. All that mattered was absorbing that blood. Ugh, I just gave away my first kiss for free...aunt Agatha is going to be so upset. I told her I'd wait until fifty to start looking for a companion...'

Sek had just experienced thoughts and feelings that were so utterly foreign to everything she knew that she couldn't immediately recover. Her little, immature face instantly became even redder as she thought about it.

The relatively calmer Jody was frowning as the curse marks and hieroglyphics faded, disappearing into both of their skins. Jody never expected that Sek would assault his tongue before he could swallow the blood! Was the allure of his blood truly that irresistible? He felt very under-prepared for this turn of events. Plus, that feeling was far too magical. The pleasure went beyond something sensual but also stood separated from what two adults would feel when being intimate. There was no passion only a kind of shared obsession.

An obsession for power.

There was no arousal or lust. It was like their souls had somehow experienced the deepest level of astral intercourse. Thinking about how his father had gone through this experience with Ke Si, Jody suddenly felt extremely lucky. He also glanced at his father strangely. Then he looked at Sek.

Jody could feel a mysterious connection with the girl in his arms now. It was as if they were two halves of a whole. He wondered if this would be what it was like to have a twin sister. Of course, when Jody considered the previous event, he dismissed these thoughts. He could sense Sek's state of mind, as well as the condition of her body. It even felt like their hearts beat to the same rhythm now.

Jody remembered feeling utterly powerless once her lips touched his own. Nothing so cutesy or flustered, he ability to move literally vanished as if it never existed. For most children, maybe this could be a normal reaction. However, Jody was in no way like most children. He had the mentality of an adult. Albeit a reckless and often childish adult. Anyway, he had no way of explaining this phenomenon.

"This girl has the traits of a blood-sucking Greater Demon. These are creatures that specialize in the utilization of glamour force. It should be the primary force genesis she received from her combat soul," Sylvester sent a soul thought to Jody upon sensing the latter's doubts.

Jody was stunned but suddenly remembered that Sylvester had done something to his blood before. He suddenly felt vexed. Neither of them noticed Sek's eyes widen when Sylvester spoke to Jody through their shared soul, as her head was down.

Sly continued nonchalantly, "Coincidentally, your father just used this same force on your mother."

'Our dad, Sly! I keep telling you to...wait. What!?' Thought Jody, whipping his head around.

He first noticed the twilight aura surrounding his mother's combat soul. This was startling enough. Upon seeing the dazed look in his mother's eyes, he suddenly recalled a rather unpleasant memory from his past life. Xavier and Sylvester watched as the space around them suddenly transformed into the scene.

🐉

"Jonathan~~~, where are you, baby?" An incomparably attractive woman wore transparent lingerie as she slowly sashayed through an old house.

She was calling out her lover's name like a cat in heat. This woman was highly appealing, with an exceptional face topped only by her figure. She had several piercings on her ears and tribal-looking tattoos wrapping around her waist and down her left leg. Many of the markings and tattoos on her are related to Vodun or Yoruba.

However, there were also some very occult in nature.

The woman had tri-colored eyes that blended purple, red, and gold. Those eyes of hers were piercing even in the darkest environment. They accented the hypnotic effect given off by the shape of her sexy body. She looked like a born temptress. A succubus demon in its most alluring form.

Her name was Sansa Trill, Jody's guardian from his last life. She couldn't be said to have properly raised him, but she kept him safe and secure as he grew. Up until the darker days of his childhood, anyway. Currently, Sansa sashayed past a nine-year-old Jody without even so much as looking his way.

In her eyes was that same glazed-over, dazed, and dreamy look.

"Sly..." Xavier whispered, his small body shaking.

"I know," Sylvester spoke calmly, but he felt anything but as he stared transfixed at the memory.

Witnessing this memory from the Host Space, Sylvester and Xavier wore utterly stunned expressions. This woman…she looked nearly identical to Sansa Blackrok! The woman who murdered them and sealed their souls! The very woman who put them here. Only her eyes and tattoos were a little different. Also, she was way hotter and more seductive than they remembered. That air of evil was absent.

What the hell was going on?

"Sly…should we tell him? What does this mean exactly? Are they related somehow?" asked Xavier nervously. "From this perspective, he seems like a small child. Could Sansa be his mother?"

He couldn't help but assume the worst. If Jody was related to that witch, then didn't that mean they had fallen into her trap? Once he knew the truth, would he enslave them? Was that always the plan? Could Jody have been sent by that witch to absorb them? Did he lose part of his memories?

"We do not have enough information, X." Replied Sylvester calmly. After his initial shock, he calmed down, "I can detect no positive feelings for the woman in this image. Only confusion, hurt, and perhaps…a small bit of lust. From this, we can conclude that he is likely not her son, though he is obviously under her failed supervision. Admittedly, the fact that he doesn't fear her despite the instability of her aura tells of his continued ignorance. Something doesn't add up to me. We have no way of knowing who Jody was in his last life. Only he can afford us those answers."

"Which he won't do if he doesn't trust us. I get it, I get it. After all, it's not like this dweeb knows anything about us. He doesn't even understand energy," Xavier also felt relieved after listening to his brother's situation analysis.

How could he forget that Jody was a total n00b?

He definitely wasn't in the loop for this plot. Taking things a step further, it wasn't unusual they both knew this woman since they all had the same seal on their souls before Sylvester transferred Jody's seal to the dragon. That means the one who killed and sealed Jody's soul was likely this Sansa before them. He had the neglected that reality. Xavier's eyes narrowed as he realized there were indeed many strange points.

"Remember, X, this is no simple task. It is his responsibility to not only remain Jody and return to his own timeline…but also to truly become Josiah Trillwolf. Actually, it should be Josiah Goldwolf. He has to become one with the main soul, one with us all while holding on to who he really is," Sylvester looked Xavier in the eye as he explained.

"We are expecting something completely unreasonable from him. But we must. He can only rip the fabric of time by reaching the greatest heights of power. That is the talk of legends," the sky puppy shook its head. "Only by becoming immortal or deified can he truly free us, his companions. You are more aware of it than I am. The hero race's truth element fragment of eternal fate cannot be overcome with their powers alone. He needs something greater. He needs our powers and the powers of lizard boy over there."

"About that," Xavier suddenly interrupted as if something had bothered him. "Why did you choose a dragon, anyway? We defeated those guardians of the underworld, right? We surely had enough time to find a soul more suitable for our powers."

"Do you know how much stress I was under at that moment? To think you dare to question my ingenuity," barked Sylvester angrily, making X retreat instinctively. "Hmph. I didn't choose the dragon. It found us. This was the soul that was originally calling out to your own. When destiny brings you face to face with a dragon, would you choose to flee or conquer it?"

"Definitely flee," Xavier answered without hesitation. Then, his eyes widened in shock. "You mean fleeing was an option, and we STAYED? Who raised you?"

Sylvester was momentarily at a loss for words.

"This is the difference between you and me," Sylvester sneered as he replied. "Your puny hero temperament makes you soft. Weak. I am a peak elite warrior. One step away from becoming a true champion! I will never sully my bloodline by backing down from a foe who is unworthy of..."

"Oops, spoiler alert, your pride gets us killed. How is this an answer to my question?" Xavier rolled around in space impatiently.

Sylvester pounced his little brother from behind, pinning his face into an asteroid.

"The Draco Volos are the most noble warrior race in existence. Only the stellar nova themselves can claim to be superior." Sylvester's voice was once again cold and indifferent. He leaned in until he was next to Xavier's furry ears, "This was no mere dragon's soul. It was the reincarnated soul of a draconian prince who had excelled to the ruler level, only to be slain by the minions of some demon called the Endless Falcon Emperor.

"How to you know that?" Asked Xavier in a dumbfounded voice.

"The Sky Fall Flame felt his pain and anguish while I investigated its connection to you. I figure it had already sensed my probing, so it got impatient. I would have had to fight it to take you away. But then, I had a much better idea. If the Titan clan brute is believed, Jody is the key to our return. In m y opinion, there's no way that brat is anyone's minion. He unbridled and arrogant. A perfect savior. What better way to compensate our savior than with the soul of a Draco Volos warrior king!"

"Are you serious?!" Xavier transformed into a golden blade light and slipped away from the wolf pup. He reappeared next to Sylvester in his true form, shock painting his face, "Was he really at the ruler's realm? One step away from the god's realm?"

"He may have even been a Peak King. That was only his first reincarnation. He was then reincarnated as a hero called the dragon emperor on this very star," replied Sylvester as he returned to monitoring Jody's memories. "This would have been his fourth lifetime, and the second as a hero. It seems as if he remembered himself the last time, so I expected him to be sentient this time as well."

"So, did he get killed by some rogue hero?" asked Xavier with pity in his voice.

"Who knows? But likely not. I get the feeling whoever sealed him allowed him to remember who he was. I also get the feeling its related to that witch, like the three of us. Jody woke up and distracted me before I could explore those emotions with Sky Fall. Due to my distraction, the dragon noticed me and attacked us."

"Ah," Xavier said, satisfied with the explanation.

X had asked about this countless times over the years, but only now did Sylvester actually respond.

However, Sylvester suddenly had a thought. The dragon attacked as soon as Jody woke up. Previously he believed this to be the result of his own folly. Could he have been instinctively threatened by the boy's presence? Could that damn witch have somehow foretold what decision he would make? Were her and the Titan in cahoots? Because if so, didn't that raise the odds of Jody being another pawn used against them by a lot? But what value did they possess to warrant such an elaborate scheme? No, something deeper was going on. Something that was centered around the now walking and talking little ghost baby that used to orbit his soul form. Sly didn't know what to make of it all but knew he needed more information.
