Student Life 2.0

The alarm woke Ben at 4 am, lethargically getting up from bed, washed his face, changed his clothes and started his exercise regime, with the increase of his stamina; he also opted to increase the load of his exercise to see if he will get 2 stat points. 10 km run, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats, and then Yue sounded,

/Congratulations Master! You have acquired 8 distributive stat points.

'Thanks Yue, you've been awfully quiet yesterday after breakfast.'

/He he, did you miss me Master? I'm not really the type to always talk, I wanted you to remain as normal as possible to the eyes of other people.

Ben's eyes twitched hearing that, 'do you think I will just talk loudly alone outside? I can still maintain my image you know.'

/You never know Master, you might just slip without knowing it.

A little bit more bickering with Yue, Ben had also cooked and eaten his breakfast. At least, he's not getting bored all alone in spirit, while being alone in this apartment. While getting ready for school, Ben checked his Status.

Satisfied with his new stats, he got his house and car key readying to go outside, looking back though, he slightly winced. 'I think I need to hire a house helper…' seeing his house disorganized and a bit dirty, with clothes hanging on some furniture, he figured having a temporary house helper, maintaining the house slightly organized for three days all by himself was already considered a good feat for him, knowing that he really hates cleaning and organizing his things even in the past, when he was unmarried his mom did it for him and when he married, Karin organized everything for him. 'Ah, if Karin sees this, I will surely have an earful. I'll see if there's someone I can hire later.' Thinking of this, with a wry smile, he started his car and went to school.

Another smile formed on Ben's lips arriving at this very familiar university, he wasn't really an active member of the school, he's one of the go-home club in the past and he surely didn't want to participate this time too, knowing that he already formed new plans for himself. Finishing his college degree is just an obligation for him now as he wants his parents to be at ease in their life. He knows that in this age, parents only hope that their children finish school to have a better edge in the future when they enter the adult society where undergraduates are looked down upon. Being an architect in this life, for him will just be a side job, he still wants to be in the field but this time, it will be a field of crops instead of a field of concrete.

Ben made his way on the 3rd floor of their College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) Building to check his room and class schedule. Since this is just the first day of school, there were no classes, the Profs just made a simple introduction, roll call of attendance, introducing oneself and then the class was free, waiting for the next one to two hours for their next subject repeating the same procedure. Finishing his classes earlier than expected, Ben made his way to the High School Bldg., he sat on one of the bench under a big tree on the open area in front of the building, waiting to see if he can see Karin, her classes was already ongoing as some of the teachers already started teaching their respective subjects.

After waiting for almost an hour, most of the classes are dismissed and so the students are starting to leave their room. Ben felt his heart beat slightly accelerating, he made sure the spot where he sat in was not that conspicuous but also where he can see everyone who passes by, this area is where all the high school students pass by if they want to go home.

At last, his waiting was not in vain, Ben saw her, walking on the corridor of the 2nd floor going for the stairs, Ben focused his eyes on the stairs below. When Ben's brown eyes trained on Karin, he was dumbfounded, Karin was, all in all, very different from the past, she was skinny and a little bit on the small side, but now, she's taller and have a great figure too!

'Did my rebirth have something to do with this?' he was thinking, while looking at Karin walking closer to him, he gulped and didn't know what to do, he was panicking when he was getting closer and closer to him with a smile on her face.

/Master, calm down! Even I'm getting nervous seeing you like your gonna have a heart attack any minute now. She doesn't even know you yet.

Thanks to Yue's reminder, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then he laughed at himself when he saw that Karin was smiling but she wasn't smiling at him and neither was she looking at him. She was walking with one of her classmate while listening to her stories, although she changed outside I can see that she's still as easygoing as she was, always having a smile on her face. Realizing that, I calmed myself down and just watched her, I pretended to organize my things when she passed by.

When he got home, Ben allotted two hours reading time to get another stat point before doing his night time routine. He ended his day having a lot of things to think about before saying hello to dreamland.
