Heck, seething with rage, lunged at Dexter again, his claws outstretched. Dexter, though injured and exhausted, stood his ground, his eyes now glowing with an intense mix of blue and red, fueled by fear and anger. As Heck closed in, Dexter swung a large piece of debris with all his might, aiming directly for Heck's head.
The impact was brutal. Heck staggered, momentarily dazed, but quickly regained his balance, roaring in fury. "You insolent brat!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the mountains.
Elena, battered and bloodied, refused to stay down. She charged at Heck once more, grabbing a nearby boulder. With a fierce cry, she brought it down on Heck's back, causing him to stumble forward and away from Dexter.
"You think you can defeat me?" Heck snarled, turning his rage towards Elena. He lashed out, knocking her to the ground again. This time, she didn't get back up. Elena lay motionless, unconscious from the impact.
Seeing Elena fall ignited a fury within Dexter. His eyes glowed brighter than ever, turning from a blazing blue to a raging red. "You're going to pay for that!" he growled, his voice trembling with rage, shaking the very mountains they stood on.
Heck laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "What are you going to do, boy?" he taunted, baring his fangs.
Dexter's rage boiled over. He charged at Heck with a speed and strength he didn't know he possessed. His first punch landed with the force of a sledgehammer, sending Heck reeling backward. Dexter didn't stop. He pummeled the demon with a relentless barrage of blows, each one more powerful than the last.
Heck tried to fight back, but Dexter was unstoppable. Fueled by anger and the need to protect Elena, Dexter lifted the demon high above his head. "This is for Elena!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the mountains.
With a final, mighty heave, Dexter hurled Heck through the air. The demon flew across the mountain range, crashing through rock and stone, his screams of agony piercing the air. He smashed through an entire mountain, the impact sending shockwaves through the landscape.
Heck's broken body continued its trajectory, finally landing in the middle of a distant city. Limbs were missing, his form mangled and unrecognizable. The few humans who saw screamed and scattered, terrified by the grotesque sight.
Back in the mountains, Dexter stood over Elena, breathing heavily, his eyes slowly returning to their normal color. He knelt beside her, gently shaking her shoulder. "Elena, wake up," he whispered urgently. "Please, wake up."
After a moment, Elena stirred, her eyes slowly opening. She looked up at Dexter, smiling weakly. "Did we win?" she asked softly.
Dexter nodded, relief washing over him. "Yeah, we did. Heck is gone."
Elena struggled to sit up, wincing from her injuries. "We need to get out of here before more of them show up," she said.
Dexter swept her off her feet, carrying her to their makeshift camp. The fight had been brutal, but they had survived.
Meanwhile, in the distant city where Heck's body had landed, chaos reigned. Police had quickly cordoned off the area, setting up barriers and keeping curious onlookers at bay. The scene was a grotesque mess of broken limbs and dark, smoking flesh.
"Quarantine the area," a police captain ordered, directing his officers to maintain order. "No one gets through without clearance."
"Um, captain, this is above our pay grade. Shouldn't we call in special forces or something?" a rookie asked.
"I agree with you. Whatever that is, we really shouldn't let anyone near it. Understood?"
"Of course."
Soon enough, scientists arrived, equipped with protective gear and specialized instruments. They cautiously approached the mangled remains of Heck, taking samples and recording data. One of them, Dr. Morgan, inspected a particularly large claw, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"What in the world is this thing?" she muttered, glancing at her colleagues. "Where could it have come from?"
Hours passed, and as they continued working, the sun began to rise higher. Suddenly, Heck's body started to smolder and burn, emitting a noxious black smoke. The scientists recoiled in horror.
"It's burning up!" one of them shouted. "Get back! Everyone, get back!"
They scattered, retreating to a safe distance as Heck's body was consumed by the sunlight, leaving nothing but ash and charred fragments.
"Captain, we need to quarantine the area. We don't know what this black smoke is, let alone how dangerous it is to us humans," Dr. Morgan said.
The captain nodded in agreement. "Alright, you heard the lady. Let's get a move on and..."
Just then, a convoy of black SUVs arrived at the scene. Men and women in dark suits emerged, their presence exuding authority and secrecy. The leader, a stern-looking man with a sharp gaze, approached the police captain.
"We're taking over from here," the man said, flashing a badge with an unknown insignia. "This is now under the jurisdiction of the Black Dawn."
The police captain, though reluctant, nodded and stepped aside. "Hey, what about that black gas? Is it safe?"
"Safe enough," a woman in black answered.
The secret organization moved in, their actions swift and precise. One of the agents, a woman with a tablet, approached the leader.
"We have reason to believe that one of the Ten has finally awakened," she reported. "We have concrete evidence that the demon came from up in the mountains where we first took Kevin."
The leader nodded, looking towards the mountains, his expression unreadable. "Indeed. We need to find out who it is, and fast, before more of them show up."
As they continued their work, the city buzzed with rumors and speculation. But the true nature of the threat remained hidden, known only to a few.
In the Land of the Devils, the Boss started smashing things, hitting the same steel beam over and over again. "Ahh!" he yelled out, "That damn fool! He couldn't just come back instead of fighting both of them at the same time!"
Darren walked in. "Boss, let me go after them."
The Boss dropped a piece of debris, "No, I need you for the boy."
"And who's he?" Darren asked.
The Boss, now sitting in his chair, answered, "His name is David. He's a kid. If we get him, the rest will follow."
"When should I go?"
"Soon."
