Chapter 5:

You and the others enter to see a young man fiddling around with the coffee machine.

Y/N: Why don't you two find yourselves a spot, I'll be with you shortly.

Wednesday: I'll come with you.

Y/N: Alright.

You and Wednesday walk towards the front counter when the man at the counter notices you.

Man: Hi, how can I help you?

Y/N: Is there something wrong?

Man: Yeah the coffee machine's in a fritz and it doesn't help that the instructions are in Italian.

Y/N: We can help with that.

Man: Be my guest.

Wednesday takes the instructions while you pull your personal toolbox out of your bag.

Y/N: What do I need Wednesday?

Wednesday: Tri-wing screwdriver and a four-millimetre Allen wrench.

Y/N: Got it.

You pull out the necessary tools and begin repairs.

Man: You can read Italian?

Wednesday: I spent a long time learning Italian.

Man: I see, well I'm Tyler.

Wednesday: Wednesday and that's my sister Y/N.

You and the final repairs and the machine hums to life.

Y/N: There we go, should be able to work now.

Tyler: Only one way to find out.

Tyler just selects a regular expresso to test the machine which works and makes the coffee.

Tyler: Thank you.

Y/N: No worries.

Tyler notices the uniform, Wednesday's wearing.

Tyler: You go to Nevermore?

Y/N: We both do.

Tyler: Didn't know they changed the uniform.

Y/N: They didn't, only our uniforms are black, Wednesday's not a fan of color except for red and I just prefer wearing black.

Tyler: I see, anyway what would you like.

You take the instructions from Wednesday.

Y/N: Can you please go and ask the others if they want anything?

Wednesday nods and starts walking towards the others.

Tyler: Y/N...

Y/N: Before you even begin, just know that I'm taken and a lesbian.

Tyler: Noted, anyway as I was about to say, how do you know your way around tools?

Y/N: I spend my time fixing the car and building hideouts for Me and Wednesday to just hide away from everything, plus I built myself a weapon to defend myself with.

Tyler: I see but now I have two things to ask you, do you always tell everyone new that you're a lesbian before they say anything.

Y/N: Only guys, I met more guys then girls and one of the first things they do is flirt with me so I do it to discourage them from flirting with me.

Tyler: Right, now secondly, you built yourself what?

Y/N: A weapon to defend myself with, I never leave without it.

You move the jacket to show the saber's handle clipped onto your belt.

Tyler: What is that supposed to be, a lightsaber?

Y/N: Technically you aren't far off, it is a saber just not a lightsaber, whatever that is.

Tyler: You've never seen Star Wars?

Y/N: No.

Tyler: Do you even watch movies.

Y/N: No, I only ever use my phone and I only use that to text my girlfriend and take photos.

Tyler: What about Wednesday?

Y/N: She refuses to use technology in general, so don't bother trying to get her number, she doesn't have one.

Tyler: Alright.

Wednesday returns.

Y/N: Well?

Wednesday: Weems and Enid didn't want anything and Yoko just asked for her usual.

Y/N: Alright I got it and would you like to have your usual?

Wednesday: I would.

Y/N: Ok, why don't you go sit with the others while I'll handle this.

Wednesday nods and walks away.

Tyler: So the order is?

Y/N: Two large double expresso with no sugar and a quad on ice.

Tyler: Coming right up.

Tyler starts making the coffees as three people dressed like pilgrims enter.

You turn to notice the three pilgrims entering the cafe.

Y/N: Well this won't end well.

Tyler: What?

Tyler notices the pilgrims.

Tyler: Oh great these guys.

Y/N: You know them?

Tyler: They are always causing trouble here.

You see the pilgrims making their way towards Wednesday and the others.

Y/N: Oh god.

You run towards the table as the pilgrims start making trouble.

Pilgrim 1: You Nevermore freaks should go crawl back down to whatever hole you came from.

Y/N: This coming from someone who looks like that just got kicked out of the 16th century?

The pilgrims turn to you.

Pilgrim 2: This doesn't concern you.

Y/N: I think it does, seeing how you're messing with my sister, my girlfriend, our roommate and our principal.

One of the pilgrims grab Enid's wrist which causes Wednesday to punch him in the face, breaking his nose.

Weems: Wednesday Addams.

Wednesday ignores Weems as the pilgrims readies themselves for a fight.

Y/N: There is no need to escalate the situation any further, so why don't we just walk away and make sure we never see each other again.

Pilgrim 1 goes to punch you but you catch it and subdue him before letting him down on the floor.

Pilgrim 2 goes for the attack but Wednesday easily knocks him out as Yoko knocks out the third and final pilgrim by slamming his head against the table.

Y/N: Let's make sure these guys get to a hospital before we grab our coffees and leave.

Weems calls an ambulance as you go back to the counter to grab the coffees.

Y/N: What do I owe you?

Tyler: Don't worry about it, it's on the house.

Y/N: I can't accept that.

Tyler: Fine, 10.50.

You give Tyler a 20.

Y/N: Keep the change.

You grab the coffees and start walking away as the sheriff enters.

Sheriff: What happened here?

Y/N: Self-defence.

You hand Yoko and Wednesday their coffees.

Y/N: Please have a seat, I'll tell you what happened.

Sheriff: Alright, I'll play along.

You and the Sheriff sit Wednesday and the others.

Y/N: So I'll tell you what happened here and Principal Weems can tell us any details I missed, does that sound good for us?

Sheriff: I could definitely use any extra details about what happened.

Weems: I'll definitely help out with that.

Y/N: Remember spare nothing and be 100% honest.

Weems: Got it.

Y/N: So, I was ordering us coffees when I turn to see these three harassing them, so I ran to get them to stop, one of them grabbed our friend Enid's wrist which triggered my sister Wednesday to punch him which broke his nose, however afterwards I tried to calm the situation down but they were more interested in violence so we fought them to defend ourselves.

Sheriff: Were all of you fighting?

Weems: No, Enid and I weren't fighting, only Y/N, Wednesday and Yoko here.

Sheriff: Yoko, why were you getting yourself involved?

Yoko: Because my girlfriend and her sister were being attacked.

Sheriff: Girlfriend?

Y/N: Yeah, she's my girlfriend.

Sheriff: I see, what is your full name.

You sigh.

Y/N: Y/N Addams.

Sheriff: Please don't tell me your father's Gomez Addams.

Y/N: He is.

Sheriff: He belongs behind bars.

Y/N: I don't doubt it for a second, he literally taught me to fight with a sword for christ sake.

Sheriff: Do you use that training?

Y/N: Only when I absolutely have to... For the most part.

Sheriff: I see.

The ambulance arrives as you and the others leave the cafe and make your way over to the car.

Weems: Well that was quite eventful.

Y/N: I'll say, we had another brush with the law.

Enid: You seem to do that a lot.

Y/N: Well people don't know how to just ignore us.

Enid (Mumbling): I can understand that.

Wednesday: What was that.

Enid: Nothing, don't worry about it.

Wednesday: Ok then.

You and Yoko can't help but smile as you are trying not to laugh.

Enid: Oh shut up.

Weems: What?

Enid: Nothing.

Weems: Ok then.

You and the others enter the car and drive off towards Nevermore.
