Nicholas's car....

"Sir...." Leila looked at him with uneasiness. "Thank you for saving my Brother". Leila spoke in sincere tone. When she finished speaking, she paused for a moment, but there was no reaction from him.

Just as she was about to turn, she heard his low voice.

"Belle won't bother you anymore".

Leila's eyes reflected her annoyance. "Sir, I already gave you my words that day" She answered.

In an instant, Nicholas' face turned solemn, and his eyes were so terrifyingly grim that even the temperature of the air around him dropped several degrees.

"Okay then. I will send my lawyer tomorrow. Be ready to pay one million" He announced.

Leila opened and closed her mouth multiple times as she was unsure on what to respond. Her thoughts spiraled, her heart beat with great trepidation. she took a few deep breathes and mustered the courage to speak. "Sir, I am just a small employee who works in your company but that doesn't mean that you can abuse your powers unreasonably".

"Unreasonably...?" Nicholas sneered. His Adam's apple bobbed as if he was trying to control his anger.

Leila placed her tightly clenched fists on each side of her body. "I already told you that you don't have nothing to lose..... "

Leila winced from the stabbing pain in her wrist caused by his bone-crushing grip.

"Let go of me! You are hurting me" Leila tried to wriggle her hand out of that man's grasp. Of course, she was no match for him.

His unreasonable behavior had angered Leila to the core, and she looked him straight in the eye as she shouted, "What the hell do you want, Nicholas Wayne? And if we are talking about contract, you are the one who breach the contract by getting yourself a girlfriend?".

Nicholas tilted his body and inched towards her. Subconsciously Leila pressed her back against the seat and stared at him.

"Don't you know who saved your Brother? You think I have lot of free time in my hand. Leila Green, If you feel unfair, go and hired a lawyer or pay one million!" Nicholas spoke in horror.

Nicholas's sudden proximity, especially his low and powerful breathing, caused Leila to tense up instantly.

"Listen to me, I am not interested to you at all. So, don't run your mouth without thinking much if you don't have a death wish". Nicholas's gaze fell on Leila's face. Glimpsing the fear in her eyes and the slight tremble of her lips, he could tell that she was afraid. He then slightly pushed Leila. "I am not a guy who will force on a girl. Its your choice!" He asserted.

Leila gave him an icy stare. "Of course you are forcing me. You idiot!" Leila sneered in her mind. Nicholas is the type of person who haunts till he gets what he chased. Yet it was a first time he finds difficult to talk with a woman in his life.

Every inch of him screamed danger. Leila knew that she can't escape from Nicholas. With that thoughts running through her head suffocates her.

When the vehicle disappeared from sight, Leila patted her chest. Just as she turn, she saw Bonie standing with indifferent expression.

"What?" Leila cocked an eyebrow at her.

"Nothing!" Bonie shrugged.

"That's not what you think" Leila muttered.

"Alright... " Bonie said with a playful smile.

After a brief pause, Leila blurted out. "Don't you think that I don't know anything about you. I know you have a boyfriend".

Flinging her arms around her Bonie asked, "So, Who is Nicholas Wayne?"

Leila shoved her arms off with displeased expression. "He is my boss" She replied flatly.

Leila took a cab and came home. She went inside to her room and saw Sophi sitting on her bed reading a magazine.

"Don't you feel frustrated staying inside the room all day?" Leila exhaled.

"No... I feel amazing" Sophi replied in energetic voice. Sophi stare at Leila for a while before she asked, "Tell me the truth Leila, You slept with my brother. Right?".

"Puff..." Leila sprayed the water from her mouth just after drinking. Leila waved her hands and snapped, "No, I am not. Why would I sleep with your crazy brother?"

Sophi's smile widened as her eyes crinkled up. "Its good that you know he is crazy. Then Why did you date my Brother?"

Her question caught Leila completely off guard, and froze for a bit as she wasn't really sure of what to say in response.

"I can see that you are not some impulsive girls who runs after my brother's money and status". Sophi curled her lips and stare at her. "What did you like about my brother?" She added.

Leila recollected her minds and replied hastily, "Because... Your brother is handsome. If a man like him showed interest in me, how could I turn him down?".

Sophi squinted her brows, "Don't you just say that my brother is crazy?".

Leila was fidgeting uncomfortably under her gaze. "Yes... I open my mind and try to know your brother. Even though he acts little domineering...he is not that bad". Leila cleared her throat dryly.
