Weird state of mine.

"Mr Carson, Thank you" Bonie already getting her knife and fork. But before she could even put her fork and knife on her beef, Nolan smoothly got her plate and started slicing for her.

"Eat a lot!" Nolan said. "And stop addressing me formally. Just call my name" Nolan added firmly.

"But" She said but Nolan interrupted her. "No buts."

"Okay. Nolan" Bonie said, his name almost a whisper.

"That's more like it." Nolan grinned from ear to ear.

"I heard you are my Brother's roommate in middle school". With her now stabbing her fork in one of the sliced beef, she put it in her mouth and chewed.

"Yes. We went to same boarding. It was quite bored" Nolan grinned, taking a sip of his champagne.

Bonie let out a soft laugh. "But how come Brother didn't mention about you once!" Bonie said.

"What? Not even once" Nolan asked in somewhat hurt tone.

"Yes" Bonie causally nodded.

"That's hurt!" Nolan crossed his arms in front of his chest, half-smiling. "I know all about him...even his family members. Bonie Green, Leila Green and Drew Green. And you are quite cubby in high school".

Bonie tilted her mouth and asked, "Did you saw me before?"

Nolan looked at her with hardened gaze before he smiled at her. "No, in photo. Your whole family came in convocation. Right?"

Bonie straightened her back. Her eyebrows knitted up, "I remember...we didn't get to meet my brother's roomate on convocation day".

"Yes. I was sick that day so I left early" Nolan shrugged. "Later, I visited your house and I met Drew and your parents".

"Really!" Bonie nodded. Her conversation become more causal.

"Unfortunately, you and your sister was not there" Nolan added looking at her tenderly.

Bonie seemed to be in a trance as she gazed at him. His deep and composed voice made her stomach flutters.

Her phone ringtone tranced out from her thoughts. Bonie took out her phone, bent her head and clicked silently.

"I think I need to go back home quickly" Bonie muttered.

"Hmm..." Nolan hummed. He straightened his body slowly as he rose followed by Bonie.

As soon as Bonie rose up she tripped over her own foot and stumbled backward. She closed her eyes tightly as she prepared herself for a disaster. But a strong hands around her waist had already pulled her and engulfed by a warm embrace.

"Are you always this clumsy?" A voice came above from her head.

Bonie gazed up at the man who was frowning, and her expression was nervous. He inched closer to her and tucked her loose hair behind her shoulders.

Bonie's heartbeat become erratic. She pushed against his shoulders as she tried to move away. But the large hand on her waist confined her once again.

Bonie's heart had nearly leaped out of her chest in their proximity. She placed her palm on Nolan's immaculate suit.

"Mr Carson.... "

Bonie was shocked when he kissed the right corner of her lower lip gently. Her body trembled slightly but she didn't push him away.

His lips caressed hers gently, as his tongue traced the shape of her beautiful lips continuously. She felt as though the air in her chest had been stolen bit by bit. The kiss increased in intensity especially when the woman's body in his embrace had softened.

Sensing back to reality, She pushed Nolan away before she fled the rooftop.

Bonie removed the stethoscope from her ear and hung it around her neck. She turned to look at Mother Serene "Looks like this is an allergic reaction".

"Mom, What did Dad eat today?" Leila inquired.

"I am not sure. He went for his office gathering". Mother Serene said anxiously.

"Don't worry! Mom. I will give Dad a drug injection to reduce his allergic reaction. He will be fine" Bonie assured her worried Mother Serene and Leila.

"I am fine....." Father Luke answered quietly.

"Dad, Rest yourself....I will cooked porridge for you" Leila said before she headed out from the room.

Bonie spent the next two hours cleaning up her room. Organising her clothes and putting them inside the walk-in closet, her mind was lost somewhere else.

She pressed her chest tightly with a hand and touched her lips with another. She could still feel his scent and the numbing sensation in her lips.

"Bonie! Why did you have to tripped?" Bonie slapped herself on her forehead. She briefly closed her eyes and then stared out of the window at the misty scenery, her eyes were filled with conflict and confusion.

Meanwhile Leila sprawled on her bed, putting her phone against her ear.

"Nicholas Wayne has a weird state of mine" Leila said in fed up tone.

"You already have rival in your first date." A chuckle sounded from the other end of the line.

"That's not a date!" Leila groaned.

"I am flattered with that lady advice. Look yourself in your mirror" Cherry couldn't help but laugh heartily.

"Poor girl! What did she saw in Nicholas? His stoic face..Urgh.... Her eyes were twinkled but he didn't even glance at her" Leila said, rolling her eyes at the same time.

"That's the charm!" Cherry mumbled making Leila scoffed.
