14 Chapter 14

Tiredly I walked back, I had to get ready for my magic class.

The revelation of the next stages of qi was still resounding in my mind.

Normal qi, weapon qi, elemental qi and beast qi. And then fusing the three types of qi, you reach an all-new level. I had asked beidou what happens when you combine all three of them, her reply was that she did not know.

According to her, the total number of people who fused all their qi into one was less than 100. She said that rex lapis, the jade emperor, and the original nine-tailed fox were one of those who fused their qi into one.

Though she said that there was a…myth? Rumor? Belief? that when all three qi are combined, you would become closer to the divine. However, there is no information about it even if it was true.

So either it is just a rumor, or there might be some truth to it

Even if it was true, it would be hard to find proof of it, gods, beings of divinity would never like it if others learned the method of becoming divine.

The original nine-tailed fox had done it, it transformed from a normal fox to a divine one. In doing so, it became the enemy of the entire Taoist pantheon.

I swallowed my saliva with barely hidden anticipation. I could become a god, or at least as close it was to being one, at least as long as the rumors were true.

For the first time, my path is finally clear. My goal, as soon I realized I was in dxd, was to become one of the strongest beings here. The only problem was, that I had no idea how to do that.

The top 10 strongest were mostly made of gods, or beings such as the current Lucifer who was born with a clan trait that allows him to harness the power of destruction. And looking towards Cannon for help was useless considering the protagonist only becomes stronger due to his love of "breasts", which is fucking ridiculous.

So, I had no clear way or plan on how to achieve my goal. I was like a dumbass parroting the words without knowing how to achieve them. Sure, I knew had to train, but if training was all there was, the ranking for the top 10 strongest would have been changing every month.

Sure, I could have abused my ability, never no money, to buy stuff that would make me stronger, but how much money would I need for that? Millions? Billions? Or maybe trillions? Can you even assign a value to something that could make you strong enough to destroy planets?

I mean you probably could, considering that if all anime or fictional stories actually exist, then being like Rimuru, anos, Zeno, and featherine must also exist.

Nah. let's forget about the i-could-sneeze-and-wipe-out-all-of-existance people, they should be locked away in my thoughts.

Yeah… let's forget about them… I wonder if I could one day become as strong as them.

Opening the door to the room that was assigned for magic classes, I saw my teacher was already there.

She was a tall woman with lime green eyes and long light brown tied in a side ponytail by a hair tie that looked like a blue rose.

Her dress is made up of a piece of white fabric around the top, midnight blue for the majority of her dress's fabric with black and gold embroidery, open slits around the skirt, lavender sleeves with gold accents around the ends, a collar in the same shade of blue as her dress, and a purple necklace. She wears short black gloves with pale purple lining and purple gems on the back of her hands. She wears a belt with a beige rose, black shorts with pointed edges, and gray transparent stockings. She wears black high heels with blue gems around the ankles. She wears a traditional witch with the same color scheme and details as the rest of her outfit.

Her name, is Lisa Minci, said to be the greatest magical genius in the last 200 hundred years. Now, people won't believe it due to how attractive she is, but she is a human. Quite surprising.

Now people may be wondering, how could a human, who was said to be the greatest magical genius of her time escape being recruited to a peerage? Well, I only know loose details, like she made a deal with Mom and became the librarian of the morax library. Though I have no knowledge of the exact details, it must have been really important considering Mom gave her access to the library and made her the head librarian.

"You are finally here…cutie~" Lisa lazily turned her head, her cheek resting on her palm, and waved me in.

I swear she is my favorite teacher because she is actually a good teacher, not for any other reason.

I promise.

"Want some tea?" Lisa asked. To which I shook my head. I did not want tea.

"Suit yourself."

Walking towards the chair in front of her desk, I took a seat. Lisa poured herself a cup of tea from the pot on her desk. Picking up the filled cup, she took a sip and let out a sigh that sent shivers up my spine.

The good kind of shivers, not the bad kind.

"Did you read the books i recommended to you?" she asked, placing the tea cup on the desk and interlocking her fingers.

{"ay ay ma'am."} I mock saluted her.

"Good. lets begin todays lesson…ice magic."

I groaned. Now i am not discriminating against ice, espceciallly conisdring jinglui had ice qi, but i dont want to learn it. Ice cools things down, i get it, next lesson, please.

The only way i see myself using ice magic is when i want to cool myself down. And to do that, i can rely on my imagination to carry me.

Now, if it was fire or earth magic, i would not complain. Earth is the natural affinity that all morax's posses, and fire is….well fire. You can burn stuff with it. How cool (pun?) is that?

"Now dont be like that, learning the principles of different element of magic is useful even if you are not going to be using it. Afterall if you know about something, you can easily counter it." lisa explained to me after seeing me groan.

She is right, hell i know it would be useful, but i just want to learn something metaphorically cool not literally cool.

{"fine…"}

"C'mon cutie~, ice and wind are the last to go, then you could finally start learning more adabced forms of magic. Like…" lisa leaned close, her voice barely above a whisper. "...gravity magic."

My laziness melted away. And I gave her my full attention. Gravity magic was something I wanted to learn, gravity is one of the four fundamental forces of the universe, and there is nothing bad about learning it.

Hell, gravity is the most useful thing ever, you could use it to train yourself and defeat others.

{"So you will teach about gravity magic right after wind magic."} I asked skeptically.

"As long as you're a good boy, I will teach you anything" The way she emphasized the word anything alongside her sultry smile gave me…well, let's just say my back was not the only thing that stood straight.

Lisa's smile dropped and she became serious, she entered what I call the "instructor" mode, normally Lisa is a very laid-back person rarely getting angry, as long as you remember to not harm the books in the morax library or disobey the library rules.

She becomes a devil at those moments. Though not an actual one, considering she is human, you know what I mean.

"Let's start with the weaknesses of ice, fire, and heat magic, or attacks that utilize heat are very effective against ice, as long as the two are at the same level. If the fire is not hot enough, nothing will happen." Lisa began her explanation. She summoned three cubes of ice that hovered to the side, she summoned three flames, one hit the ice, and made the ice melt, the other hit the ice and was snuffed out and the last one hit the ice and both disappeared.

"As you can see, if the fire is hotter than the ice, the ice will melt, if the ice is colder than the fire, then the fire will lose all its magic trying to melt the ice, if the fire and ice are both at the same level, they will cancel each other out."

"So, as you see, while fire magic is good to utilize when attacking an ice user, it is not the best. If their ice is colder, your fire might as well be ineffective."

"The best to use against is sound, especially vibrations. Vibrations are difficult, if not impossible, to freeze, as they cause the ice to shatter, making sound-based abilities a perfect counter to cold-based ones." Lisa explained.

With the weakness out of the way, she then started to explain the limitations, strengths, weaknesses, etc. of ice. Overall, I did learn some pretty good things, about it.

1.5k words. Sorry for the short chapter, The next chapter will be up, pretty quickly. The next chapters would be Sona's birthday party and the MCs debut.

Lots of things are going to happen. I can't wait to write it.
