3 Encounter!

Vain could hear a faint growling coming from the next room.

Thinking it was another growling box that he had encountered before Vain still walked forward with less cautiousness since he hadn't encountered an entity that M.E.G. had claimed to exist. Carrying the hatchet loosely at his side he looked inside in hopes to find the strange growling box all over again, Vain instead sees the most disgusting thing he has ever seen in his life. Even as it stares away from Vain, he can clearly see the rough skin that looked dried out, with what should have been arms and legs looking like how a dog's legs are normally shaped.

The creature's head twitches as Vain walks in. In a slow yet quick fashion, the creature turns to Vain and crouches down covering its weird head that looked like it had an impossibly wide mouth that showed sharp teeth.

Frozen, Vain stares down the horrific creature until it lets out a loud growling sound waking him up. Blinking seemed to set off the creature making it run towards Vain going about 30mph! Luckily the creature was on the other side of the room which was extremely big making the creature's original distance of 110 meters away from the room approximately 120 meters long.

Only when the creature was halfway to Vain did he react and have the adrenaline kick in did he get into a fighting stance and lift up the hatchet so that when the creature does reach him he can hit hard. As if the world slowed down the creature was still moving extremely quickly but in those few seconds Vain become able to get in a perfect position. 7 meters and the hatchet comes down perfectly splitting the human-like skull.

Unfortunately, it still can't stop the destructive force behind the movement, so Vain still goes flying as if hit by a car.

After flying a few meters back and groaning Vain got up and dislodged his hatchet from the creature. Thinking back to what M.E.G. had written Vain spoke softly, "Hound was it? F**k you."

With a loud sigh, Vain could feel the adrenaline wearing off and a sharp pain start to spread throughout his body.

Looking around the room there was a single crate the same size as every other. Trying to distract himself from the evergrowing pain that was assaulting his chest. Luckily the box was not making any noise so he was able to check it comfortably.

Breaking open the box with his hatchet, Vain found inside a couple of arrows, Almond water, a pack of beef jerky, some spark plugs, and a piston of a medium motor.

Opening up his bag to put everything he needed inside he found it wet from the broken Almond water bottle. With another sad sigh Vain drinks whatever is left and cleans out so his bag isn't full of water.

Packing everything up Vain gets up to leave when suddenly the lights flicker turning everything dark for only a second. Looking around nothing seems to have come in while it became dark for a moment. After staring around for a moment Vain finally realizes what has changed, the crate has disappeared along with the Hound's corpse. After another quick look around Vain decides to just continue and hope that his luck will turn for the better.

Feeling the pain still spreading to the rest of his stomach Vain couldn't help but wince as he continued to the next room. The next few rooms had nothing again until eight rooms later there was a crate that had; hair, bandages, a Ramon pack, a small mouse that was unconscious.

Taking the bandages and the Ramon, Vain left and tried to find something useful. Four rooms later was a crate making strange sounds so Vain moved on. Eleven rooms later there was a crate with; red cloth, a bottle labeled painkillers, batteries, and a bottle of almond water.

Again taking what he needs Vain got ready to leave, but this time looking at the bottle labeled painkillers Vain opened it and took out water, and took some in hopes that this item isn't something weird and will calm down the pain that is assaulting him. After resting for about ten minutes the medicine started to work and numbed part of his body slightly.

Moving on carefully walking to the next room in the hallway the lights flickered again and a scratching sound was heard softly. This time immediately remembering what M.E.G. had written Vain very quietly turned around to see if the entity was in front of him or in the room he was about to leave.

Inside the room, he could see an entity that had disgusting grey skin that had several lumps which became more obvious due to how long and slender the entity was. The humanoid figure made the entity even more horrific. There was horrific claws that made the fingers twice as long as it should be. The entity had no eyes but a large mouth and a long tongue, the place where the eyes would have been, have a small sunken space that was covered with stretched tight skin.

Slowly backing up, Vain moved as slow as possible so as to not make any sound. The entity was made scarier with the eerie scratching sound that the entity was making and the twitching head that kept looking side to side as if trying to catch something.

With his heart in his throat, Vain kept moving slowly backward while holding his breath and looking back to see where he is going. The entity kept scratching and moving slowly along the ground.

The scratching sounds slowly faded away as Vain nearly gasped for air as he held his breath for nearly half a minute now, but he slowly let out all the air trying not to make a sound as he moved further and further away until the sound was so quiet that it couldn't really be heard.

Barely controlling his breathing because of the fear he felt, Vain started to breathe in air slowly as the last of sound faded away after almost a minute of careful walking. Moving faster as he started gasping for breath Vain's heart was beating very fast and it felt like he would pass out any moment now. Breathing heavily Vain started running directly past the room next to the Scratcher. After having at least one room away from the entity Vain finally sat down and kept gasping for breath.

Taking out the bottle of Almond water, Vain was very thankful that the bottle of Almond water didn't make a sound in his bag just with pure luck.

After resting for fifteen minutes he started to pay attention to the room he is currently in, which appears to be empty just like almost every other room. After taking a breath of relief Vain could only grumble, "Where is this hub that they told me about..."

Three rooms later the lights flickered again. This time ready for the change Vain raised his hatchet and looked for what kind of danger he would face this time.

After a quick look around the room, all that could be seen were two crates near the right side of the wall. Taking a good look around he could only see those, but with the last two entities that he met, he didn't want to risk it so he took a good look around and made sure to listen to anything that could set him off. After a good minute, Vain finally believed that all that there was in the room was only the two crates.

In both of the crates were a composite bow and a quiver as the most important things in the entire supplies. The only other important thing seen was a bag of almonds and two apples.
