The Edge Of A Midnight Release

Kate just humphed and looked away while blushing, but didn't argue any further.

A speaker was set up by the door playing music to keep them entertained.

They walked down the line of people waiting in front of the store filled with people excitedly talking about the game. Some had even gone out of their way to dress up as characters shown in Nascent Sphere's promotional material or the studio's previous works.

They walked past a platinum blonde girl talking with a few excited boys. She was wearing extravagant clothes including a feathered tricorn hat, a long overcoat, leather boots and gloves, and a cape draped over one of her shoulders.

Kate grabbed on to his arm and pulled to get his attention."OMG look at her. She looks just like Dame Aria! I wish I could pull that off..." she gushed.

He smiled. "And who says you couldn't pull if off?" He asked.

She blushed and looked away. "I-I'm too fat," she said quietly.

Dave rolled his eyes. "I don't think so," he said.

She shook her head. "I couldn't," she said.

He smirked. "What if you tried it just for my eyes?" He asked.

He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her even closer, leaning down to her ear. "We could also try some other fun things if you did," he whispered.

Her blush deepened, spreading to her ears and neck. "M-maybe..." she muttered.

His smirk widened. "Great!" He said.

The line ran all the way down along a couple of stores before coming to a stop. There must have been at least 50 people in line.

They settled at the end behind a group of guys casting glances at Kate. They stopped the moment they noticed Dave and his ripped physique though.

He leaned against the wall.

She looked around, unsure about what to do herself.

He smiled and pulled her close against himself.

She did fight him, instead snuggling deeper into his arms.

The boys shot him jealous looks, but he just ignored them.

"Are you going to get it too?" She asked.

He shrugged. "I haven't had as much time for gaming as of late," he said.

She pouted slightly and pulled at his shirt. "Come on... we could play together..." she said in a slightly whiny tone.

Suddenly she seemed to think of something and smirked. "I could make it worth your while," she teased.

He smirked back. "...Maybe I can set some time aside," he said.

It didn't take long for more people to get in line behind them.

When midnight finally hit the doors to the store opened and people were being allowed in in batches to get their copies of the game.

Upon entering the store the first thing he noticed was the same cosplaying girl they noticed in line. It seemed she hadn't left right away after getting her copy. She paid more attention to him than she had before as she took her time looking him up and down now.

It wasn't entirely unexpected as he stood out even more amongst the current crowd. There were few as tall as him there, but there were none even close to as in shape as him there. Most of them were much closer to his former self than his current self.

Kate noticing the girl's gaze pulled him closer to herself.

The girl merely smirked annoying her even more.

Dave just shook his head.

Kate pulled him over to the counter. She had already pre-ordered the game so it didn't take the employee long to find her information and grab a copy of the game.

While she was distracted by working with the store clerk he felt a hand slip in his back pocket and cop a feel. He turned around in surprise just to see the cosplay girl walking away leaving him. in confusion.

He touched his ass where she had. He noticed there was a piece of paper in his back pocket. He was fairly certain there wasn't one there before.

He turned to look at Kate, but she was still discussing with the clerk.

He pulled out what turned out to be a folded piece of paper. Once unfolded the only thing it held was what appeared to be a phone number. He looked back up to find the girl looking at him with a playful smirk.

He smirked back at her and quickly put away the piece of paper before Kate could notice.

Kate was about to pay when he stepped forward. He interrupted the clerk. "Do you have any extra copies available?" He asked.

The young man behind the counter typed something into the computer and nodded. "Yeah, we still have a few copies beyond the pre-orders," he said.

Dave nodded. "Ok, go ahead and add it to her order. I'll pay for both," he said.

She shook her head. "You don't have to," she said.

He simply smiled. "Don't worry about it. I want to," he said.

She didn't hesitate to pull him out of the store quickly as soon as they got what they needed.

She hugged him tightly and excitedly pressed a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you!" She said excitedly.

She quickly took out her phone to let her mom know she could come to pick them up. 

Shortly after they had gotten in the car Kate had managed to find her way almost onto his lap from the side. He wrapped his arm around her and kissed a little more intimately than was appropriate for sitting in the backseat of the car with her mother driving. She cuddled up even closer against him, her breasts rubbing against his chest while his dick pressed up against the inside of her thighs through the fabric of his jeans.

Unfortunately despite her getting him all wound up, there was nothing he could do about it since her mother was dropping him off at his home so to his dismay it couldn't move beyond some light kissing and teasing.
