The moment I realized I was finally free, without even daring to turn around and take a single glance I ran straight to where Azrael was still sitting, drained after all those horrible moments.

Throwing myself on my knees right in front of him, I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck, words tumbling out of my lips on their own as I tightly held him to my chest, resting his head over my shoulder.

My brain suddenly stopped functioning, furiously blushing, completely frozen, my eyes wide as fuck as I ultimately realized exactly?what?I've just said to him.
