He reached backwards to rub over the red star tattoo. One of its arms peeked over the racer cut of his thin tanktop. "All over this."

"What? Thiago didn't tell me that."

"No, he wouldn't." He chuckled, with some amusement now. His eyes didn't look as bruised.

Despite the wound of Taís death, they were now entering the part of Davi's life he didn't regret.

The years that weren't wasted.

"I think I was seventeen, nearly eighteen, when I met her." The sun had started to peek out shyly from behind its shield of clouds, and was shining into Davi's eyes. The light gave them more depth, made them less icy than usual. More of a warm, crystalline pool, instead of a frozen lake.
