Davi heard Vice's soft footsteps before he saw him, so it didn't surprise him when a long-fingered hand plucked the cigarette right from between his lips.

"Scoot over," Vice said, hip checking Davi to make room for himself at the living room windowsill. 

Davi did, watching from the corner of his eye as Vice draped himself out of the window, stretching out his neck like a cat sunning himself. 

There wasn't any sun to speak of yet, they were a couple of hours away from sunrise, when the night was darkest.
