Ivo couldn't see Machado's face, but he could see the tendons standing out on his hand and arm from how tight he was gripping his gun. "Barricade the doors, we can't let them get in here."

Mari pulled the safety on her gun with a smirk. Ivo considered their options. They could shoot one of them, maybe two. But after that they'd be trapped up in the vents. Easy pickings for anyone they couldn't kill.

It would be a risky gamble. Any shot up into the ceiling could hit them. It wouldn't take much to figure out their position after the first shots.

Graz came back into view. She had a shotgun clutched sideways to her chest, and another strapped to her shoulder. "Already done, no one's getting in."

Ares flanked Machado. "Yes, it's just us here. We told our guys to focus on any possible entry points so we can catch them at a disadvantage."

Machado's grip on the gun relaxed. "Good. Keep me posted."
