5 Try Letting It Out.

Nicki was supposed to feel like a first lady because of the way she was heavily guarded following the Alpha to only where the heavens knew.

However, in this case, it was different, earlier, it was just two people that had been following them and now all of a sudden, they got surrounded by more people out of nowhere.

The sounds of their footsteps were like that of soldiers matching, leaving Nicki to ponder deeply if she was being taken to be treated properly as someone who was new to this place or if she was being taken to be a prisoner instead.

The Alpha kept a straight face while walking, not bothering to check and know if she was still following him. He looks unconcerned about it since it kind of looks like the job of the people following him to do so.

A quick thought swiftly crossed Nicki's mind right now. It got her starting to think of a way to try and sneak away from here.

But she's not so sure she can, not amid these people, and being at the Alpha's right-hand side only made it seem like a mission impossible, more like a suicidal mission as the people following them had all sorts of different kinds of weapons.

Could this place perhaps be some secretive war zone?.

Nicki can't seem to wrap this around her head or get rid of it either.

She could only hope the Alpha will be nice to her like he was last night. There wasn't a single smiley face here, making it look like it was better when he gave her that creepy smile in the hall than all this that was happening right now.

At least he smiled at herself but she disliked it since it was creepy.

On reaching a certain room, the door was opened and the Alpha got in, the first two people that had been following them since in the hall also got in, dragging Nicki along with them too before leaving with the others.

Nicki swallowed hard, the sound of her gulping was so hard that she could actually hear it in her head up to three times and being left alone with the Alpha. What is going to happen to her now?

She wondered in fright, staring in silence with defensive eyes, studying the Alpha's every move to see if she was about to be attacked because he can't be confirmed as a friend or a foe to her yet.

The Alpha walked around her in circles before going to settle down on a chair that looked more like a throne situated in the center of the room.

He let the silence continue reigning between them observing how uncomfortable Nicki was, she kept on avoiding eye contact with him incessantly staring at the floor. Who knows what could be going on in her head?

He got so curious to know that he had to say something. However, it wasn't really what Nicki wanted to hear or talk about. All she wants to know right now is if she's turned or not but she doesn't know how to ask for it.

"Why didn't you answer when I called in the hall? Isn't your name Nicki Landon?" The Alpha asked, taking Nicki back to what transpired in the hall.

Nicki expected to be asked that which would make her uncomfortable as she is right now, but what should she answer?. Her body suddenly got itchy and she scratched the back of her neck continuously as if it would produce a response for her.

The Alpha tapped his fingers on the armrest of his throne still waiting for an answer from Nicki and at the moment it seemed like one was never going to come from her. So, he had to remind her again that he asked a question.

"I can tell you weren't dumb when you spoke to me last night"

Nicki couldn't stay mute anymore, instantly knowing she had to say something so she tried changing the topic instead of going with it. "I don't feel changed…I'm supposed to be a werewolf now but I don't feel like one"

And luckily for her, the Alpha complied with it. "Why don't you feel changed? Haven't you tried letting it out?" He questioned, failing to be specific so a newbie like Nicki would have an idea of what he was talking about.

"Let what out?" Nicki asked with a confused mind.

"Your wolf, have you tried letting it control you?" The Alpha made her know she was supposed to have a wolf. He thinks she has one already but knowing Nicki as a naive kid, he's not surprised she thinks she hasn't turned yet.

"My wolf? I have a wolf?" Nicki returned the Alpha's question with a question.

"You don't answer a question back with a question. Didn't anyone tell you that?" The Alpha shook his head, Nicki's going to be a handful here.

"Sorry…but I don't think I have a wolf. I don't feel weak and I don't look pale anymore. And that's the only good thing that has happened to me, but I haven't grown fangs or claws yet…" Nicki shrugged politely.

"Hmm," The Alpha sighed and then got off his throne to go to meet Nicki. He stopped right in front of her and grabbed her chin, moving her face and checking out some signs he needed to.

"Every single person I have ever bit ends up turning. And it's been years since I have turned someone but it shouldn't be the reason you aren't changed yet" He let go of Nicki's chin, saying" Try letting it out".

"I can't, I just told you I don't have a wolf" Nicki's countenance had switched back to a bright one, not having any feeling to why she should be scared of this place since the conversation with the Alpha was going well however he still seems to not get her point yet.

"You have, you just have to let it out," He said to her, making it look like she was a bit crazy. So she's lying about having a wolf when she actually has one?

But how can she have one when she doesn't feel anything inside her? Isn't the wolf supposed to be moving if it was inside of her?

"How…how do I do that?" Nicki felt like giving it a try to know if she has a wolf for real or not.

"Connect with it, shut your eyes first. Distractions don't help" The Alpha decided to help her out since she looks pretty determined to know if she has a wolf.

"My eyes are shut, how do I connect with it now?" Nicki has her eyes closed, but little did she know her voice could also be a distraction to her.

"Shush, stop talking and listen to my voice only. I will guide you" The Alpha said to her which Nicki obeyed.

"Now, just empty your mind and feel its presence. Trying to connect with your wolf sometimes can be tricky, especially with newbies like you, they like to be the ones to show themselves whenever they want. But you have to let yours know you are the one in charge and it is supposed to listen to you"

The Alpha directed Nicki who listened carefully to him and was doing as she was told.

"I….I…I still don't feel anything" However, she still doubted she had a wolf. The Alpha sighed, Nicki definitely knew when to make one lose faith, he actually thought they were onto something here.
