As a depressed Yurei dragged himself inside of his shared home with Tacito, he put his hand inside his jackets pocket and started nervously fiddling with his bracelet he kept inside instead of wearing it, Yurei didn't like worrying about Tacito.

And as Yurei took his first step inside his home, he heard a weird noise coming from the living room, so thinking it was probably their Havana Brown cat 'Choco' knocking down another vase again, he went there to investigate.

"Choco? where you at! You better not have broken something new today! I swear Tacito spoils you you mischievous furrball more than me!" he said annoyed as he walked into the living room.

Instead of finding Choco near a broken vase or a knocked over decor item, he found the cat angrily hissing at someone by the couch.

Tacito was sitting down calmly on that couch, with what looked like a wine bottle in his hand, drinking straight from it as if it's an everyday occurrence.

His shoes were nowhere to be seen, and he was wearing nothing but his briefs on, his hair was all messy and all over his face.

In the long period of time they've been together, Tacito never drank like that before, never walked around the house without slippers at least, and he took great care of his personal appearance even when he was just chilling in home.

But Yurei overwhelmed with joy after seeing his mate, ignored all the red flags, even the nagging feeling in his chest that something was wrong.

He jumped on Tacito hugging him, "OMG! I thought something bad happened to you! please don't just disappear like this again, I can't take it anymore Taci!"

"I'm sorry...for not being...honest with you...Love."

"It's okay beautiful! I don't care about that anymore, all I care about is that you're safe.

I know you must've felt ashamed about it, I was sad you couldn't trust me but don't worry about that! just stay with me that's all I need Tacito." Yurei replied with his hand on Tacito's cheek, he pulled his mate closer to him, resting Tacito's forehead on his.

Sighing, "Taci, I was this close to asking Jihi for help, I was so scared that you got into an accident or something...from now on you'll always wear my bracelet, I feel selfish wearing it by myself." Yurei spoke again taking his bracelet out of his pocket, then he placed it around Tacito's wrist.

"Oh! I gotta tell Ned you came back, I asked him earlier for help to find you." Yurei added, pulling his phone out.

Tacito didn't respond to that, he simply placed the bottle in his hand on the coffee table, with their cat was still shrieking at him.

But before Yurei could text Ned, Tacito pulled him in and the two started kissing each other, Yurei tasted something weird as his lips crashed with Tacito, but excited, he brushed it off.

Since Tacito was already almost naked, Yurei pulled away from his mate, and started stripping from his own clothes.

The moment he took off his shirt " Yurei ...I'm sorry." Tacito spoke softly, a guilty expression plastered on his face.

"Huh? sorry for what? are you alright baby?" Yurei asked, but before he could get his answer, Tacito yanked Yurei's head back by his hair, exposing his neck.

Yurei winced in pain but didn't mind the move, he thought Tacito was playing rough again and he liked it, " Aye! feisty are we! didn't think you'd miss me that much!" Yurei joked smirking, but his smirk faded instantly as he felt a sharp pain piercing his neck.

Tacito bit him, hard.

Not like he usually does, not in his nibbling way but as hard as an animal would do, it felt to Yurei as if Tacito tore off a piece of his flesh, which he did.

Baffled and petrified, Yurei pushed Tacito off of him, their sudden struggle caused the cat to get scared, jumping on the coffee table only to knock the wine bottle from earlier.

Yurei watched in horror as he realized the liquid seeping from the bottle and soaking his carpet, was the same oozing from his wound.

He turned to stare at Tacito, his mate's mouth and most of his face was covered in his blood and Tacito stared back at Yurei with the same guilty expression, " I'm sorry." Tacito said once again, before he lunged forward at him, trying to grab Yurei by the throat.

in an instant, Yurei picked Choco up and teleported away with just his pants on, leaving Tacito behind.

...Meanwhile...

"For the 1 2 3 4 5 6 thousand times! I'm busy, Take Matilda instead." Ned replied while sifting through dozens of documents, his mind was working overload and although a Karaoke night sounds fun, he knew better to stay working now, if he wanted to have any Future fun.

"I don't understand why you don't use your abilities to fix all of your problems?" Matilda asked, she was laying on the couch by the wall reading comments on her latest post on Chitter.

"Mats sweetheart, i prefer to earn my keeps... besides my abilities are a double edged sword, I'd rather not wield it so recklessly." Ned answered her, Matilda shrugged at him "Suit yourself you workaholic... hey Jaspie! count me in cuz I'm coming." she said.

Jasper nodded at her, "Btw, what did you do today? Aroon said he didn't know despite him being your driver for today." Ned asked his son, "Nothing much, I just said Hi to a couple of friends." Jasper replied, he earned himself a skeptical look from Ned.

Rolling his eyes at the older omega, "Seriously Mom I didn't do anything! I even stopped talking to Jade for you!...

God only knows if she didn't try to kill Garrick again, also why you two didn't seal your bond yet? you both have your marks back now, all you guys need to do is to accept each other and be over with it." Jasper Asked.

"Well Garrick asked me to wait until he gets back." Ned replied slightly grinning.

"You're going to wait more? there's a month and half at least left of training, he's probably gonna be out by the time Muriel turns 25, Didn't you say unsealed bonds cause pain for both parties?" Jasper asked.

"Heh, I bet Rickie is planning something romantic!" Matilda spoke-up while standing, then she walked towards Ned and knelt on one knee as a joke, "Ned Valentino? Neddie my love? will you accept me as your mate for life, and make me the happiest man alive?" she asked mimicking the way she expected Garrick would speak in, it made both Jasper and Ned chuckle.

"No, I don't do girls." Ned replied jokingly, "Oh c'mon! I'm pretending to be Garrick, I said 'Man' bruh! " Matilda said making Ned chuckle more.

Before Jasper could comment anything, a sudden loud thud in the office, took the three of them by surprise, "YUREI!" Ned immediately recognized the guy who collapsed on the ground of his office.

Rushing to him, Ned hurried his steps when he saw blood all over Yurei's body.

Choco the cat, ran out of the door as soon as Ned and the other two approached Yurei, "One of you, go after that cat and find Aroon as well!" Ned said, So Matilda took it upon herself to do as he said, and rushed outside.

Ned checked Yurei body carefully, the injury can't go unnoticed, it was too deep and dangerous to be left untreated for another second, but he couldn't find Yurei's bracelet on him.

Covering his mouth, "Oh fuck! I can see what's inside! I think I'm gonna throw-up! SHIT!" Jasper was too disgusted by the bloody scene, to him it looked like half of Yurei's neck was chopped off, he was surprised the guy was still breathing.

"Jasper find my bracelet, I can't find his! Yurei must've forgotten it wherever this happened to him."

"Okay! is it here somewhere?"

"Look around in the desk, it should be there... HURRY!"

"OKAY OKAY I FOUND IT!" Jasper replied tossing it to Ned, and the doctor immediately placed it around Yurei's wrist.

His heart dropped realizing that the bracelet didn't work on Yurei, "Oh no... it's not working! IT'S NOT FUCKING WORKING."

"Shit! this must be a joke, let's get him in surgery RIGHT NOW! you said it earlier we can't rely always on fucking magic." Jasper replied.

At that moment Matilda came back with Aroon and the cat in her arms, " Oh my god! what Animal did this to the poor boy?!" Aroon said nearly screaming at the sight of Yurei, "There should be plenty of rooms unoccupied for surgery, get one ready with the surgeons, we can't risk waiting anymore, he'll bleed out at this point." Ned replied to him.

"Right away!"

...Some time later...

"What in the world...is going on." Muriel whispered to an equally confused Socorro.

The two of them just made it a little late to the karaoke bar they agreed to meet at, they didn't rush coming just in case the others were also running late, so Socorro and Muriel didn't think much of it, when Jasper and Aroon both didn't make it yet to the bar.

But The situation started to feel out of ordinary, when Socorro called both Aroon and Jasper, but neither of them responded.

Their confusion mounted further as they Noticed two familiar faces Sharing a table, right there by the stage.

"I don't understand, did we get here earlier then we should? why is neither Aroon nor his friend here? Aroon isn't responding to any of my messages." Lucius asked disappointed before something in the corner of his eye caught his attention.

"Dunno! Maybe they ran into some troubles... isn't it weird that I keep thinking that I'm gonna run into Muriel here somehow?!" Thorn replied, there was this nagging feeling within him, that made him think Muriel was there with him, somewhere.

Noticing that his assistant wasn't paying attention to their conversation anymore, Thorn turned to see what Lucius was staring at, Thorn's face went pale at the sight of Muriel standing with Socorro by his side.

"Here's your opportunity, Remember what you promised me earlier Muriel? you said and I quote 'I promise I will apologize to him and tell him the truth the next time I see him coco', so now that you saw him...go.

Fulfil your promise to me, and I'll be here watching." Socorro said pushing Muriel forward gently.

Then The two of them walked towards Thorn and Lucius's table.

In a swift move, Socorro snatched Lucius from his seat and took him to sit with her at the bar's counter, giving Muriel and Thorn some privacy to talk while still keeping them under her watchful eye.

"Why did you do that! what's going on miss Belmonte! those two are going to fight again if we leave them alone!" Lucius was soon to speak as he sat down next to Socorro on the bar stools.

"Be quiet! I don't know what's going on today but it's a perfect coincidence for them to finally Make-up...so let's give them some space, I'm sure they'll talk their problems out!

I doubt they'll cause another public scene, And we're here nearby just in case...if something bad happens, each one of Us will grab their boss and leave this place." Socorro replied, glancing at those two every few seconds.

At the table, Muriel sat awkwardly across from Thorn, he expected the alpha to be reasonably mad at him for getting slapped and treated poorly earlier this day, but Muriel was surprised when Thorn smiled warmly at him.

"Small world isn't it, this feels nostalgic in a way! you look beautiful btw, Muriel." Thorn said chuckling.

"Thank you Thorn, you look good too..." Muriel replied shyly.
