In my now long history of feeding on condemned civilizations. I have never encountered one so troublesome as this one.
These biomorphs are a tough nut to crack. They are aggressive, but cunning. Their technology is biologically based. They get power for their technology through burning lifeforms while they are alive.
Tempting them withe Markers wasn't even working. They have no desire for anything besides evolving through bloody conflict.
This would do my job for me if they weren't reproducing more than they were killing each other. They've turned their entire solar system into a scene of constant war.
Trying to drive them insane was not working well neither. As the species had a natural defense against mind influence. Especially when they are in groups.
I am left with no choice but to deal with them the hard way.
I fully activate all the markers and set them at full power. I'll just have to make necromorphs and simply kill them the old fashioned way.
The biomorphs were individually unique as each one had a different evolutionary path. With only having enough in common with each other to reproduce. Fascinating but annoying. As off abilities would reveal themselves.
The eradication was ongoing with steady progress. It'll be a 100 years at this rate though. I need to speed things up. This would be easier if I could just blow up planets or make them unlovable. However, I can't do that. Handler made it clear to keep the planets intact for reseeding.
To speed up the process, I would chuck an occasional asteroid here or there. Jumpstart volcanoes, tsunamis and the sort. Necromorphs will survive fine. But not biomorphs. They can't evolve that fast.
Now it would only take 25 years of doing this. Which was still too long.
Therefore, I evolved.
Instead of the traditional necromorph. I created necrotic bacteria. They of course had teeth. They enter the body, multiply and devour from within. After releasing the necrophage, their deaths rose exponentially. It was wonderful.
2 years after the necrophage, the biomorphs were dead. Never to leave their solar system in this cycle. Their biomass was unique in quality too. A great amount of strength was gained. Their level of psionic defense will no longer be a problem for me anymore. My blood moon was now the size of a dwarf planet.
Handler teleports in front of my throne again.
"Necromancer, good work with the biomorphs. Next, I have a unique task for you.", Handler says.
My interest is piqued, "A unique task after these thousands upon thousands of years?"
Handler explains, "Yes, a foreign species from another galaxy has made their way here. They have beachhead planets already. We have not contacted them as our presence here should not be known to outsiders. Therefore, we want you to do what you do best. Drive them from the galaxy with the terror you can inflict upon them."
My monstrous face smiles widely, "Oh, this is a unique request. I would be incredibly happy to take on this great work. Spreading terror and insanity is an art after all."
Handler then brought us through the 6th dimension to the edge of the galaxy.
Handler says, "We have great expectations for you Necromancer. We believe in your abilities."
With that said, he left in a blink.
I get comfortable in my fleshy throne, "Time to get to work."
