Chapter 15 : Back to the Castle

800 years ago...

The bloodiest battle in history took place.  The whole world was on the verge of collapse due to the great war that was taking place at that time.  The war is known as Ragnarok and involves two very strong camps.

The first stronghold is the stronghold of the dragons, while the second is the stronghold of the gods.  But the fight only took place in a place far from the civilization of living beings, so no one knew the outcome.  But if you look at it now, it is clear who won the war.

On the other hand, the entire Kingdom, Empire, and others were also at war.  It's called a holy war because there are two opposing beliefs. The war lasted for several years but was destructive.  Hunger was everywhere, and disease also spread during the war, causing the war to stop.  Furthermore, many demons have appeared, causing the battle between the two religions to end in a draw. 

However, an Imperial warrior named Azira managed to defeat all of these demons alone in a battle that lasted for an entire month.  It was me, I fought with blood and sweat to save humanity from extinction.  You could say I was the strongest person in the world at that time, so it became my duty to protect humanity.

I had to kill the demons continuously without rest, so I was badly injured during the battle.  After winning the battle, a very strange thing happened.  I am not regarded as a hero or savior of humanity; rather, I am regarded as a traitor. 

I don't know what happened at that time, but my heart was broken because the blood I shed was wasted to save humanity.  I was injured so badly back then that I couldn't fight.  Pathetic, I've been duped, I'm so naive.  But I still see some people still consider me a hero, even if only a little.

At least it's better than nothing.

A few days after I returned to the Empire, the nobles and high-ranking officials regarded me as a demon to be exterminated.  Based on my estimation, they were so afraid of my power and existence in this world that I was considered a traitor.

Then I was executed in a sadistic way and I was in Hell.  I thought this might all be over, but I felt my revenge had to be avenged.  I don't care if it's a month, a year, a hundred years, or a thousand years, my revenge must be avenged.

 But right now, even though 800 years have passed, I still have to get my revenge - no, I have to destroy everything like an insect.  Right now, I'm at the very top of the labyrinth.  I just found out that this is the Great Labyrinth of Edafos, and this labyrinth didn't exist 800 years ago.

 After defeating the dragon's bare armor, I immediately returned Anubis to its original place, and I'm currently in the cave ruins.  Even though this cave is huge, I am in ruins.  Of course, I don't want to waste time right now.  I then began to remove all parts of my armor and store them in a special room.

 "For now, the most important thing is to find information and recover strength," I said.

 "Wait a minute, Isn't this a labyrinth? Then where are all the monsters?"

 I noticed the oddity of this labyrinth.  Generally, a labyrinth, especially the deepest level, must have monsters, but I haven't encountered a monster since entering this labyrinth.  Even so, I don't care, and my current goal is just to get out of the labyrinth.

 I looked up, then I remembered when I broke through the barrier between Hell and the Mortal World.  Even so, my race has an ability that dispels fatigue, so I can move for a full 24 hours.

 Then I turned my gaze towards the corridor that seemed very long.  The passage was certainly very dark, but I have night vision, so I was able to see the passage in this labyrinth very clearly.  Even so, walking and exploring the labyrinth would be a complete waste of time.

 "Hah....."

 "Looks like the only option left is to break through the labyrinth by destroying the top,"

I looked up again, and my previous fight didn't leave a hole, and that left me quite disappointed.  I can't see any other levels of the labyrinth from below.  The conclusion I can draw, the roof in the labyrinth has a fairly high-density level.

"Then there is only one way,"

I then removed the ring from one of the fingers on my left hand and stuck it to the cave wall.  The ring is one of the Universe Items that allows the user to teleport anywhere, provided the place has already been visited.  Of course, there are no side effects to using this item, but it can only connect two places.

Even if the two locations are in different universes, this Universe Item can still be used normally and there will be no interference.  I'm currently opening a fairly large portal from the Universe Item. My goal this time is to return to Hell to recuperate.

Although I don't want to waste time, I must not be careless to go to the outside world with a strength below 5%.  Of course, it was very dangerous, plus there was the possibility that there would still be a True Dragon Lord that would appear someday.  I decided not to take that risk and returned to the castle.

"It's time to go back," I said.

"Before going back, I want to try something,"

[Telepath]

"Hm? Isn't it connected?"

As per my estimation, the telepath skill that I have won't work if the two users are at a great distance.  But it's not a problem if I can return to the castle.  Not long after, I heard a voice that made me very surprised.

"My lord Azazel?"

"I will return to the Throne Room, gather all the generals and higher-ups in the throne room within 30 minutes,"

"Okay! I understand!"

I took a deep breath for a while, then I started to walk and entered the portal I made earlier.  After I entered, the portal instantly disappeared.

"It's time for me to return to regain my strength and plan all conquests and vengeance,"

"HAHAHAHA!!"
