Chapter 156: Attack on Abyssam

The cavern echoed with the clash of Abyssam's dark tendrils and Maiza's light whip. The tendrils came at the group with incredible speed and force, but Maiza's skillful control of her light energy allowed her to counter and eliminate a majority of them. Some of the tendrils, however, seemed to phase through the whip, proving to be more elusive and challenging to deal with.

Misty, always quick on her feet, formed four Neos energy clones to assist in the evasion. The group moved swiftly, trying to get in close to Abyssam while avoiding the lethal phantom blades that materialized from his phasing armor. Misty engaged in a brief clash with Abyssam, but her clones were quickly dispatched by his shadow tendrils.

Wendy, displaying her control over the wind element, attempted to pull Abyssam in with a powerful gust of wind. However, Abyssam's resistance was formidable, and he managed to resist the force, only slightly affected. Meanwhile, Misty stepped back, assessing the situation.
