Kaneki: Hey Miku I'm just going to talk to these two, watch over the house for a bit okay?

Kaneki used his ability Darkness travel and sent him, Itsuki and Keiko to a secluded place in the middle of Shimotsuki forest.

Kaneki: Oh no wait, it was supposed to be "How would you feel if the Hero of Hell/Atlantis gets hated by many because of one small mistake" that was what I was going to say.

Kaneki: you two really are dumb. Imagine this, The Hero of Hell/Atlantis is a really nice guy right? What if he suddenly gets hated on by everyone because of one small mistake?

Kaneki: it's not that simple, not everyone likes him and they will take that opportunity and make things worse, by spreading false information, rumors and many other horrible false things about them to ruin their image. How would you feel if others are ruining the image of the Hero that you look up to so much?

Itsuki: Why are you saying this?

Kaneki: Because if that happens to them, then I'll be very upset.

Kaneki: it's just one small mistake, and you guys have seen what happened when rumors about Miku being my sister spread throughout the school.

Itsuki and Keiko and remembered very well what happened when those rumors spread.

Kaneki: Yeah, people are horrible just because they hate someone for no reason, they'll try to ruin their reputation for no reason as well when that opportunity comes.

Itsuki: That's true...

Kaneki: I was lucky enough everyone believed my lie, if anyone learns that those rumors were true they would even trace my relationship with Shino and Yuuka. Even though I erased many memories, there are somethings I can't erase.

Kaneki: How could I? We were together since we were kids and... They saved me countless of times, they were always there for me when I was at my lowest and even now they are helping me.

Itsuki: but didn't they leave you because of-

Kaneki: What? Do you think I would hate them just because they like someone else? I'm not a obsessive creep who would want them for myself you know? Besides I'm just their friend nothing else.

Keiko: then why didn't you talked to them since the start of school?

Kaneki: ... I had determined they no longer needed me, so I did the most logical thing at the time and protected them by getting rid of the bullies in school.

Itsuki: We understand that...

Keiko: But we don't understand what you are saying, it doesn't makes any sense at all? Why would they not need you if you're their friend?

Kaneki continued looking at the ground and said.

Kaneki: man this is getting no where. Then let me ask you this? If your Hero gets hurt, Would you protect your hero? Because I certainly will protect my heroes.

Itsuki: you're not making any sense at all Kaneki, What do you mean by "My heroes"

Keiko: That's right, what are you trying to say?

Kaneki: Enough talking, just promise me you guys won't tell anyone about Shino, Yuuka and Miku being Shiita-chan, Miyu-chan and Miha-chan okay?

Itsuki: You can just send us to my apartment.

They were both sent to Itsuki's apartment.

Kaneki: well, time for me to go back.
