Nathan and me

Rebeca is the classic 17-year-old girl, shy, very unsure of herself. She is in a very difficult period of her life from which she cannot get out. Nathan, on the other hand, is the classic guy who goes with everyone and doesn't want serious relationships. When their destinies collide, something unexpected happens in both of them. In her because she never felt anything like that, in him because he didn't think he could love another person outside of himself. They will learn that the difficulties, although they seem hard and insurmountable, can be overcome, you just need to put the right will and be strong. If you are curious about how Nathan and Rebeca will overcome their problems and their story then you just have to click on 'read' and you will find out. I hope you like it and I ask you to be kind because I am not a writer but I wanted to write down this story that was in my head. PLEASE READ THE PREMISE BECAUSE IT'S VERY IMPORTANT! This book is like a diary. I wrote my thoughts, my experiences. I hope you enjoy it even if I'm not English. There can be, surely, grammatical mistakes but please... Take some time to read this book because I put all myself in it and if you have some doubts or corrections, they will be appreciate. I'm new and I don't know the app and how it works but I try. If you are a boy, you can read it because a book it's for all and not for a genre.

I hate when

Me, Dylan and Alison are going to my house to get my pajamas and all the other things I need for the night at Alison's house. Meanwhile we are talking about the party

"Anyway I haven't asked my parents for permission yet and you guys know how much my dad pisses me off about these things" I tell them.

"Yeah we know, in fact I hope he will say yes" Dylan says                                                                                    We get to my house and after saying 'hi'  to my parents who are in the kitchen we go to my room. I grab a backpack where I put my pajamas, toothbrush and change for tomorrow and another one with my book and math notebook for Saturday and I'm ready.

"Wait here, I'm going to go tell my parents I'm sleeping over. Don't do dirty things on my bed, thank you" I warn them. I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen where my mom is washing dishes and my dad is on the phone

"I'm going to Alison's to sleep. Tomorrow morning I'm at my classmate's to tutor him in maths so I'm going to eat at his place" I say even though I will leave before lunch and I won't eat anything. Dad hangs up the phone for a moment to talk to me

"Did I give you permission?" he asks me. I feel the urge to roll my eyes, but I don't because I would only make him angry                                                                                    "I asked mum yesterday, you were at work" I tell him.

"So? You can't just pick up and go wherever you want whenever you want. You have to ask my permission first"

'Meanwhile if you were George you wouldn't have said anything' I would like  to say but I don't.

"Next time, let her go now or she'll be late," mum interjects.

I can't stand him, especially when he's like this. Sometimes I want to leave home, so I don't have to see him but then I wouldn't know where to go and I would leave my brothers alone with him and then I would miss them. I walk back into the room and I  see Alison and Dylan kissing and I cough.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your romantic moment, but we have to go," I say grabbing my backpack.

"Are you okay? You seem upset" Dylan says

"I'm fine, I'm just mad at my dad for his usual speech. I can't wait to get out of high school so he's out of my hair" I vent.

"Always the same- you have to ask my permission eh-.... "Alison comments and I nod disconsolately because it's a losing battle with him.

We say goodbye and then head towards Alison's house. Once we get there her mum greets us all smiling and happy. I have always adored her mother, she is cheerful, very wise and funny. Alison usually tells her everything because they have a good relationship and she always gives her good advice. Samantha, Alison's mother, is also a very good cook, in fact every time I come she prepares something and today she prepared an apple pie for us. We sit down at the table after washing our hands. She asks us how school was and what we did. What I like about her is that she's not intrusive, she gives her opinion but never intrudes on our conversations.

When we finish eating we go to our room and I try not to feel guilty for eating cake. When I'm at her place I always eat a lot and while Alison is happy because I eat, my happiness goes away very quickly. The problem is that when you eat little or nothing, when you eat something more substantial you stuff yourself and that's what happens to me. And then the next day I'm fasting because I feel guilty.

"Tomorrow night what time is the party?" asks Alison to Dylan.

"Eight o'clock" he says

"what are you going to do?" he asks me.

"I'll come if my parents give me the okay. In fact, I ask now by text, that usually works."

Mum: *All right, but don't come back late* my mom replies. I inform Dylan and Alison about the news and they are cheering. I still don't understand what they get out of making me go but it's okay. I have another excuse not to eat.

The alarm goes off and I open my eyes listlessly. Sleeping is one of the things I love to do, especially on Saturday mornings but this Saturday is not one of them. I turn off the alarm clock and I sit up. Considering we spent the night talking about Dylan, Nathan and other things, I can say I got two hours of sleep. We went to bed at seven and now it's nine and I'm really sleepy, but duty calls. Reluctantly I get out of bed and so does my friend. I yawn and go to the bathroom while Alison goes to the kitchen. I get dressed and brush my teeth and then  I join her in the kitchen. The clock on the wall reads a quarter past nine so I have time to have breakfast with her. Samantha walks into the kitchen and says good morning to us.

"What are you doing up so early? You usually always wake up at lunchtime," she asks us strangely as it is strange that we are already up.

"I have to go to a classmate of mine because I have to tutor him in maths," I explain

"I can see you tutoring him. What's the lucky guy's name?" he asks

"Nathan, he's one of the loudest and messiest boys  in the class, but the teacher believes in me so she asked me to give him a few lessons before the test. I hope it's not a waste of time."                                                                                                                                                            "Considering it's Nathan... It's bound to be a waste of time, but that's for me to find out. Oh, and of course I want to know how it goes," Alison tells me.

"Yeah, I'll give you the final report then. In the meantime wish me luck because I really need it."

Once she wished me good luck I said goodbye and thanked her mother for her hospitality as well and then  I headed off to Nathan's house in the hope that everything would be alright.
