At Konoha Hospital, Sarutobi Hiruzen arrived just as chaos erupted. He was about to enter when—
"Boom!"
The hospital doors were flung open, debris flying as Danzo charged out, flanked by a group of ninjas. Anger radiated from him; the audacity of Tsunade was infuriating.
"Danzo, what exactly are you doing?" Sarutobi's voice was a low growl, his expression darkening. He could sense that Danzo had crossed a line.
"It wasn't me!" Danzo retorted, frustration spilling over. "It was Tsunade who destroyed the hospital!"
"Tsunade?" Sarutobi shot back incredulously. "She's a medical ninja! Do you really think she'd attack the hospital? What are you really planning?"
Danzo felt a flash of irritation. Sarutobi, as always, was quick to jump to conclusions without understanding the situation.
"I'll take responsibility for any damage caused, but your precious Hokage advisor has allowed the Root to attack my disciple! If I hadn't been here, they would have taken him! And now, they're dead because they tried to harm him!"
Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "It's ridiculous to claim a seven-year-old killed them when they merely got a scratch."
At that moment, Tsunade emerged from the dust cloud, her presence commanding. "You think this is just about scratches? They attacked my student. You can't be serious."
Sarutobi's expression darkened further. "Danzo, you've let your ambitions blind you. How could you send your ninjas after a child? Apologize and take responsibility for this mess."
"But—"
"Enough!" Sarutobi's glare silenced Danzo. He couldn't let this spiral further.
Tsunade's voice cut through the tension. "There's no need for apologies. I'll pay your Root organization a visit instead."
"Wait! You can't!" Sarutobi exclaimed, realizing the implications. Tsunade's destructive power could spell doom for the carefully hidden secrets of the Root base.
Danzo's shock mirrored Sarutobi's. "You wouldn't dare—"
Tsunade had already turned, striding toward the exit, ready to unleash her wrath.
"Tsunade!" Danzo shouted after her, but no one was focused on him anymore. All eyes were on Tsunade as she moved forward.
On the roof of Konoha Hospital, Reiki watched in awe. "Tsunade-sensei, you're amazing!" he said, excitement tinging his voice. He knew Tsunade was a force to be reckoned with, but witnessing her in action was exhilarating.
"Brother Reiki, why did they want to take you?" Shizune asked, concern etched on her face.
"Maybe because I'm strong," Reiki replied, a hint of pride in his tone. "I took down two of their members."
He couldn't help but clench his fists. The realization that he had killed weighed heavily on him. "I didn't mean for it to happen like that," he muttered.
"I know you're scared," Shizune said softly, hugging him. "You don't have to pretend around me."
The embrace helped soothe his turmoil. Killing was no small feat, and the reality of it settled heavily in his heart. "Thanks, Shizune. But I need to focus. There are still patients who need our help."
With a newfound resolve, he led Shizune back to their duties. Reiki understood he needed to grow stronger; today's events had shown him that power came with heavy responsibilities.
Meanwhile, at the Root organization base, Tsunade was already wreaking havoc, her fists smashing through walls and structures.
"Tsunade, stop!" Sarutobi shouted, rushing to intervene. "We need to handle this calmly."
"Boom!" Tsunade continued her assault, unfazed by his pleas.
Danzo, sensing the escalating danger, prepared to retaliate. "I'll stop her with Wind Release!"
"Earth Release: Earth Wall!" Sarutobi countered, creating a barrier to shield Tsunade from unnecessary harm. "This will only hurt Konoha!"
At that moment, Hatake Sakumo arrived, urgency in his voice. "Tsunade, we still have battles to fight on the front lines. This isn't worth the risk!"
Tsunade paused, fists clenched. "If they keep attacking my students, I might just be a real traitor next time!"
With that, she turned and stormed away, Hatake quickly following her.
Danzo simmered with rage, wanting nothing more than to retaliate, but he held back, knowing Sarutobi would never allow it.
"Danzo, did you attack Reiki?" Sarutobi's voice was heavy with realization.
Danzo huffed but offered no response. He turned on his heel and left, fury boiling beneath the surface.
Sarutobi remained, staring at the devastation. The implications of today's events were staggering. "Hokage-sama, we need to regroup," an ANBU member suggested, kneeling before him. "The fallout from this incident is significant. Ninjas and their families are beginning to voice their concerns about Danzo's actions."
Sarutobi rubbed his temples, feeling the weight of leadership. "We need to handle this delicately. The village is on the brink, and I can't let it fall apart now."
With a heavy heart, he turned to leave, knowing the real battles were only just beginning.
