02 - UPGRADES ! ! !

Five years later, I lived pretty normally, maybe a bit more alone than other two-parent children, but not to worry. 

I had been at the ninja school for three years and had met students who would go on to become great ninjas like Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru and all the others in the classic Naruto story. 

Luckily, my age was the same as theirs, so I was able to make better friends with everyone at school because I already knew their motivations and passions, which helped me get through school with a lot of friends. 

On the way home, I hear a sound in my head.

I was able to recognize it because three years ago, when I went through the selection process at the Ninja School and completed the mission to become a student, the system had made the same notification. 

Over the past few weeks, my anxiety had consumed me. I had trouble sleeping because the easy access to the system's interface and the sight of those ridiculously large numbers, now so small, made me extremely anxious every time i tried to sleep. 

When I got home, I greeted my mother and ran to my room to open the interface. 

When I closed my eyes, I heard the following.

The lock was broken and the following message was read to me.

[ 0000 Coins, with coins you can artificially improve your status or purchase powerful equipment and jutsus. Kekkei genkai, doujutsus and other rarer or more powerful abilities can only be obtained with special missions and special coins that will be introduced in the future ]. 

[ Coins are earned by performing tasks required by the system, by training, or by influencing the history of Naruto, our system intends to make you the villain of our history, let's put an end to this spree of wars and loose peace, you must become the tyrant who will bring peace to the ninja world, EVEN IF IT IS BY FORCE! ! ]

[ At the end of each day, your coins will be counted, spend them wisely in the shop ] 

[ A special mini-game will be held every weekend, the system will bring you more information next weekend, until then we have a new mission for you ]

[ Later in your journey, you will have access to special fruits, which can be bought and given to your subordinates of choice to gain special powers, to make your military force not totally dependent on you, with this, the dirty work will not be left to you alone, how to obtain and what powers these fruits provide, will be informed in the future of your journey ].

The system closed the notification tab with the messages and opened the mission interface for me with a new objective.

So far, I was excited about the features the system had to offer, but I was still unsure about the things I could buy, so I went to the Store tab. 

In the shop, I saw that I could artificially improve my status, as well as buy some basic weapons, such as kunais, shurikens, etc., which were not too difficult to obtain for an elite ninja, so I wouldn't buy this equipment there, as it would be more advantageous for me when I got older to buy from the shops in Konohagakure. 

I couldn't help but notice that the shop had some equipment that hadn't been unlocked yet, such as Sasuke's Kusanagi, which was the most eye-catching weapon in the system, although it was no more than an ordinary katana. I could see other ninja weapons in the shop, but nothing out of the ordinary, swords, scythes, katanas, hammers, and so on.

A notification appears in the middle of my interface.

When I open my status tab, I'm surprised to see the following.

My goodness... halving the cost is extremely useful, but that's the thing, I don't have infinite chakra and so far I can't know how many times I need to use a jutsu to increase my affinity with it, for simpler jutsus it's easy enough, but now with complex jutsus like Gouka Mekkyaku it won't be so easy to repeat as many times as necessary in the future. 

While I was thinking, a new notification tab appeared.

After understanding everything the system had to tell me, I closed the interface and received the following message.

The interface was closed, the goal for the next day was pretty silly, I just had to stop that classic scene of Naruto and Sasuke accidentally kissing, I remember there was a boy right behind Naruto who pushed him while he and Sasuke were staring at each other, I don't remember why they were fighting, but as I've realized these past few years? it doesn't surprise me. 

I took the rest of the day to do some strength training, and when I went to sleep at the end of the day, with my eyes closed, I opened the interface in my mind.

Today's result was extremely satisfying, perhaps because I was excited to have access to the system that day, I trained with greater excellence than before, it was extremely satisfying to have my results in front of me, showing me what I should improve on and what I shouldn't, I would know exactly what to focus on, and I could see which trainings were more efficient. 

Out of curiosity, I opened the System Store to see what I could buy with only 9 coins. In the store, I saw that I could buy 1 status point with 5 coins, and that was it.

I didn't feel anything during the upgrade period, so soon after, realizing that I had no choice in what to upgrade or buy, I decided to go to sleep.
