Ch. 6 Minato and Yo VS the nine tails (A Second Sun?)

A good distance away from the village in a forested area Minato appears with the nine tails, who tries to bite him as soon as it regains its composure. However, it was essentially slow motion to the fastest ninja alive. He reappears a short distance away, but Kurama sweeps it's great tails across the ground clearing the area. As the fox is mid spin a giant ball of burning red energy smashes into the fox's face knocking it off balance.

"Hado no. thirty one: Shakkaho!" Yo shouts descending next to Minato who had retreated to a safe distance to prepare his counterattack. "Lord fourth! I've come to back you up!"

"Yoriichi! Why did you follow me?! It's too dangerous-" The fourth is ready to reprimand him but the fox's terrible roar shook the area as he stood up, now even more enraged than before. Minato decides to leave it alone for now, he has no time for squabbling with the stubborn boy. Yo may have been some of the best help he was going to get anyways. "If you're going to help, stay vigilant and follow my lead!" He commands readying another of those three pronged kunai with a rasengan in his other hand.

"I won't miss a beat," Yo says with a smirk as he readies a kunai of his own. He enters a state of hyperfocus called the transparent world, which allows him to see in such detail that he can even see how the monster fox's organs move inside its body. Searching out the smallest of openings in their opponents, the three of them face off silently for a very suspenseful moment. It is the nine tailed fox who breaks first and swings a massive claw down at them full force.

"Now!" Minato shouts as they both throw a kunai at either side of the fox's face. Completely evading the claw, they appear at a kunai each, both unleashing a jutsu they had prepared prior. "Flying Raijin: level two!" Minato calls out while smashing a large rasengan into Kurama's face. As the beast pushes back a great fireball jutsu explodes on the other side of his head. Minato appeared in front of him delivering a devastating kick in between the nine tails' eyes. Yorichii slashed at Kurama's cheek with his sword, then Minato hit him with another rasengan to his chin. The two shinobi sped around scoring uncontested hits as the Nine tails struggled to keep up with their high-speed assault.

"ROOOOAAAAAAR! Annoying flies!" Kurama's bellow blew everything near him away, uprooting trees and tossing boulders. However, the two shinobi had already teleported to a safe distance. Seeing them unharmed the nine tails gets ready to fire another tailed beast bomb, but Yoriichi has already leapt into the air, drawing a character in red light with his hand.

"Bakudo No. nine, Geki!" A red light emanated from Yo and engulfed Kurama completely paralyzing the fox mid attack.

"Foolish child… this…cannot stop…MEEE!" With the sheer force of his strength Kurama powered through and took aim at Yoriichi. "DIE!"

"Oh no you don't!" The fourth hokage shouts as he slams a much larger rasengan, one as big as himself, onto nine tail's head. Pushing its head straight down to the ground, the tailed beast bomb was released at the ground exploding into a pillar of destructive chakra. It does a lot of damage to the fox itself. Minato, however, was back beside Yoriichi outside of the blast radius. The both of them were realistic enough to know that the fight was far from over. "Yoriichi, look alive. Round two is going to be much more intense."

"I already know," Yoriichi says exhaling a deep breath and readies his sword. "Kurama is way to tough to be finished like that."

'Kurama?' Minato thinks. Did he just name the nine tailed fox? No point in giving it too much thought right now. "Here he comes!"

The ninetails smashes a claw into the ground sending a shockwave that crawls along the ground out them. As agile as they were it isn't much of a problem to dodge, however as they rise into the air a hail of smaller tailed beast bombs are already flying at them.

"Go lord fourth! I'll cover you!" Minato wonders what Yo has up his sleeve, but the yellow flash warps forward towards the beast, weaving in between the blasts. After a rapid series of hand signs, Yo breathes in deep "Sun breathing x fire style; shooting stars!" With a little swing of the sword around him, twinkling wisps of fire begin forming all around him and shooting off at astonishing speed across the sky meeting Kurama's attacks. The ensuing clashes result in a blinding display of lights, shining bright for all nearby to witness.

To say Minato is astonished by the boy's powers is an understatement, but he knows such a jutsu had to be taxing. He can't waste this opportunity provided to him, he has to make this next hit count. Weaving through the explosions with carefully calculated teleportation via the flying raijinn technique. Minato appears before the fox, whose vision was also obscured, with another giant rasengan in hand. Hitting it right in the stomach, Minato puts even more chakra into his jutsu as it expands growing several times larger before sending the fox sliding back. Appearing as if it could potentially stop the rasengan. Yo increases the output of his jutsu as well, bombarding the fox though it is already on the defensive. Together their jutsu sends the nine tails tumbling before it is caught in a great explosion for a second time. Minato looks back at the brat who was smiling triumphantly and gives him a thumbs up.

"See lord fourth, we got-" before Yoriichi could gloat, a hail of kunai drop around him which he easily deflects. Still, they are all marked with explosive tags, which engulf the boy in flames when they all went off at once.

"YO!" Minato shouts as his wife's disciple is engulfed in flames. He doesn't have time to mourn or grieve as he senses a powerful chakra appearing nearby. "Who did that!? Show yourself!"

"It's funny, the fastest man alive is always too late. You can't even reach someone dying right before your eyes, or maybe that jutsu is just flawed? The boy couldn't escape with your instantaneous movement technique at his disposal... How pitiful." The figure that emerges from thin air dons a one-eyed orange mask with black markings and black robe now standing between the downed fox and leaf shinobi. From that single eyehole a Mangekyo sharingan stares back at the fourth.

"You!" Minato had met this mysterious man just prior, he attacked Kushina and their newborn baby Naruto to unleash the nine tailed fox, and before Minato could do anything to stop him, he summoned those masked creatures allowing him to make his escape. Now he's here again to stop them from defeating the nine tails.

"You? No, no, Minato or Should I say lord fourth? I am Madara Uchiha. I have returned to finish what I started all those years ago."

"That eye… the mangekyo sharingan?" The fourth says wearily. Minato wonders if that really is Madara. He's unsure if he can defeat the legendary figure if that is the case, but he would fight to protect his village, nonetheless.

"I call bull! You're Obito Uchiha!" Yoriichi dispels the flames with a swing of his sword before pointing it at the new foe. He stands there relatively unharmed, but his clothes were burned and tattered a bit. "There's no way you could be Madara! He'd have just walked into the village's front gates himself with a wide grin full of battle lust! Not this cowardly ploy of yours…should have planned better, Obito!"

"Obito?" Not only was Minato surprised to see Yoriichi get out of that with just a few miniscule burns, he went and called Madara a fake. A fake he identified as Minato's own former student…still as unlikely as it seems, this isn't the first time Yoriichi has said this. "Obito? Is that really you?"

"Obito died a long time ago," obviously bothered by the statement the masked figure rushes swinging a chain at the fourth hokage, but Minato dodges and deflects them with one his kunai.

"If you really are Obito, we can talk this out! What happened to you for you to be on this path!?" Minato calls out over the clanging of metal while they're fighting at high speeds. He is now sure this is Obito from his angry reaction to certain tells in his taijutsu. This man is not the ghost of the Uchiha, however he is now a powerful enemy of the leaf. The boy who once strove to become hokage… how tragic.

"I already told you Obito is dead," he throws several more explosive kunai point blank but the fourth hokage dodges by teleporting out of harm's way.

"Obito…" Though he was sworn to lay his life on the line for the village, it was hard for Minato to go all out against a villain he felt was created by his own shortcomings.

"If you wish to save our village fight! He released the nine-tails, you know what that means for master! The time for words is no more!" Yo shouts as his sword passes clean through Obito's neck as if to decapitate him, but it phased through rather than cut him. Obito stands there unharmed. 'Damn I should've expected that to happen, he has the kamui…' Yo thinks as he stumbles through the intangible man. He can sense Obito reaching for the back of his head, so he retreats to a distant kunai as well.

"He's quick, maybe faster than you." Obito says looking at the boy. "Still, I don't have time to play with children," he says as the space warps in front of his eye ejecting more gillian for Yo to fight. "They can keep you company."

Yo was a little surprised to see him produce hollows from his eye, but under the circumstances it seemed reasonable. "Sunflower thrust!" Without hesitation Yo leaps at the first one, and with a powerful thrust of his sword punches a blazing hole straight through the first hollow and another behind it.

Obito watches as Yo fights the hollows sword blazing for a brief moment, before he turns back to face the fourth when one of those special kunai passes through his head. "Don't take your eyes off your opponent!" The fourth hokage says as he appears in front of him with a rasengan aimed right at his face, but a blue cero blast destroys everything in front of him. Minato is forced to abandon his attack.

"You're late." He says looking up at a boy standing in the sky. The remaining gillian backed off, trembling in fear of the new arrival. Yoriichi and Minato look up to see a child in all white armor similar to warring states style, with a sword on his hip. He's about Yoriichi's age, staring down at them with eyes devoid of any emotion. At first glance, Yoriichi thought he looked a lot like the second hokage except for a few details. His silver hair is much longer and straighter, his pale skin is a ghostly white, and his eyes are also a deeper red, practically glowing. Most notably is the white crown of bones atop his head. Whoever this child is, Yoriichi knew immediately he was going to have hell fighting with him, he is an Arrancar. No that's not right, he exists just like Yoriichi. A perfect human with no need to leave his body but still possesses all powers of top tier Shinigami( or hollow in his case). Did something like this ever exist beforehand? How exciting! How fortunate!Yoriichi had counted himself as the sun shining in the sky, magnificent and unparalleled in the solar system. This boy may very well be a bright star at the center of his own realm as well. He too is one of a kind, Yoriichi's true rival has appeared!
