10 Chapter 10: Chunin Exams Part 1
## A Few Months Later ##
Team Minato had been doing missions for some time now. Senshi has grown too. He, now 8 years old, is wearing a blue jacket with the Uchiha crest on the back and tomoe on the shoulders, and under that, an ANBU chestplate with gauntlets and, under that, a white shirt with black pants and boots. He had trained further with both his elemental affinities and his Scorch Style kekkei genkai. Now Minato is applying his team for the Chunin Exams because he knows they are ready.
## Hokage Tower - Hokage's Office ##
A few jonin stood in front of the Hokage's desk, where Hiruzen Sarutobi, the current and Third Hokage, was sitting. Choza Akimichi said to Hiruzen, "I recommend Might Guy, Genma Shiranui and Ebisu for the Chunin Exams.", before stepping back. Then another jonin stepped forward and said, "I recommend Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi and Raidō Namiashi as well.", before also stepping back. Minato then stepped forward and said, "I also recommend Rin Nohara, Obito Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake and Senshi Uchiha." There was a sudden uproar as some jonin complained that it was unfair because Minato had an extra team member, and a prodigy no less. One of them shouted, "You have an extra guy, that's unfair!" The uproar continued until Hiruzen shouted, "Silence!", then he turned to Minato and addressed him saying, "Minato, sadly, a member of your team must be removed from the recommendation. Deliberate this with your team and decide who'll be removed and how it'll work." Minato said, "I understand, Hiruzen-sama.", before bowing and moving back. Hiruzen said, "All recommendations are approved. Dismissed!", then they all replied, "Hai, Hiruzen-sama!", before leaving.
## Third Training Ground ##
Senshi, Kakashi, Obito and Rin were just waiting for Minato to arrive. When he did, they all snapped to attention. Minato said, "Team Minato, I got us recommendations for the Chunin Exams." They all cheered until Minato continued to say, "However, one of you will have to be exempted from the team." They all shouted out, "What!?", then Obito asked, "Who will it be?" Minato said, "That's for you four to decide." They all argued for a bit until Senshi said, "I'll do it. I'll ask Hiruzen-sama to let me do it alone. That way you guys can participate, and me also." Minato and the three of them began to argue but Senshi shut them down, saying, "You guys know as well as I do that I can handle it. Just let me do this for you guys!" They all said, "Fine.", then Minato brought Senshi to Hiruzen to discuss the matter.
## Hokage Tower - Hokage's Office ##
Hiruzen was busy signing paperwork until he heard a soft knock at the door. He said, "Come in.", then Minato came in with Senshi. Hiruzen asked, "So, you're removing Senshi?", and Minato said, "Yes, but-" Hiruzen then interrupted, asking, "But?", and Minato replied, "He wants to do the Exams alone. He just needs your agreement." Hiruzen pondered on it, and said, "You have my permission. You may do the Exams alone." Senshi said, "Thank you, Hiruzen-sama." And Hiruzen replied, "You're welcome."
They then left Hiruzen's office and went to announce to the team. When they did, the team was overjoyed. Everyone went home, and Senshi arrived. His family was deliriously happy, and Senshi was too. After they celebrated, Senshi was tired, and once again, he flopped on the bed.
## Next Day - Chunin Exams Beginning ##
All of the teams arrived in the place for the first stage which was a written exam. When the proctor said, "Start!", everyone began writing. Senshi read through the questions, and at a glance, already knew that a normal genin couldn't answer the questions. But he wasn't a normal genin, and quickly completed the test. As he waited, he noticed people cheating, so he guarded his paper. After the proctor collected and checked the papers, he said, "One person got the same score as the highest ever scorer. And this person is Uchiha Senshi!" Everyone began gaping at Senshi, and when he noticed them gaping, he said, "What?" Afterwards, they went to a fenced off area for the second stage. The proctor for this one announced, "Alright, everyone! Each team will go up against another team. And your goal is to win." The proctor and his assistants then began calling the teams for the battles. When Senshi was called, he entered the fenced off place and ended up facing Asuma with his chakra blades, Kurenai with a kunai and Raido with his sword, Kokuto. Senshi said, "Hello guys. Looks like I have to fight you. Well, I'll be serious for once.", then Asuma started shaking slightly, but Raido just charged at Senshi, swinging Kokuto wildly, as Kurenai shouted, "Raido, don't!", but Raido just kept on going. Senshi just parried every strike from Kokuto, then disarmed Raido. He then knocked him out with a chop to the neck. Then he went for Asuma, who could barely block the swings. Eventually, Asuma was knocked down and disarmed, then Kurenai began backing into one of the fences, but Senshi just created a Shadow Clone which trapped her in a nelson hold and knocked her out before putting her down. Asuma, knowing he would lose anyway, simply forfeited on his team's behalf, giving Senshi the win. Senshi went back to the bleachers, ignoring all the gaping stares. After all the teams went through Stage 2, including Team Minato, who beat Team Choza. When it was all done, Senshi met with his team and the four of them looked at each other with joy on their faces, as they had made it through the first two stages of the Chunin Exams.
