The Leverage

The man in the orange mask looked at the two shinobi teams and said childishly, "I have been waiting for you a lot since forever. I thought you guys would make me wait the entire day."

Kurenai and Asuma quickly stood in front of their team and asked "Who are you and why are you waiting for us here?"

"Haaa...You can't guess who I am" the masked man said while showing off his black and red cloak indicating that he was a member of the Akatsuki. "And as for why I came here, it's to help you reach the other teams faster. You all are quite useful to me."

"Useful you say...but how?" Kiba made the mistake of asking the idiotic question which resulted in the masked man giving a childish giggle. He stopped laughing and said "You all will make good hostages."

Just as he said that Kurenai and Asuma noticed that the eye that was the only visible part of his face turned into a Sharingan with a pattern they had never seen before.

The next second they started to feel a kind of pull toward the masked man. Even as Jonins, Kurenai, and Asuma weren't able to resist it. Shikamaru performed a shadow possession jutsu and used several shadows to grip the nearby trees. He tried his best to resist the pull but in the end, he also couldn't control it and everyone got sucked into the masked man's eye.

In the outside world, Tobi signed in relief and said "Now, these people will make for good leverages against the ones chasing Sasori and Kakuzu."

Tobi then touched his arm which he had lost to Yami and muttered "Once I get the Uchiha brothers, the plan can proceed even faster than ever. I better get Orochimaru or I won't be able to complete my revenge against the Hidden Leaf."

As Tobi said that the space around him started spinning and he disappeared into it.

Kurenai and Asuma along with their team didn't understand what was going on when they were getting sucked. They suddenly found themselves in a big room standing on boxes. Asuma looked around and saw that they were all split up with everyone dropped on a different box. He tried to look around but couldn't find the end of the room nor could he see the floor of the room under the boxes.

"Where are we? What is this place?" Ino asked to which Shikamaru who was on the box with her calmed her down with a tap on the shoulder and said "We are in some kind of alternate dimension. That Akatsuki member must have transported us here."

"We need to find a way to get out of this place. He must be sent us here to stop us from providing Naruto and the others with Backup." Kiba said as he pet Akamaru who seemed to be a little scared by the sudden change in scenery.

Kurenai turned to Asuma and asked "I haven't heard of any jutsu that would do this. Have you?" to which Asuma also nodded sideways indicating that he was just as clueless as her in this case.

Asuma looked at the scattered kids and said " Everyone come together. We don't know what the Akatsuki member was planning for us so stick together. Hinata use your Byakugan to figure out our surroundings. We need to eliminate the fact that we aren't in some kind of Genjutsu."

Hinata nodded and activated her Byakugan to look around. After a few seconds, she said "It seems that the entire thing is made out of Chakra…Shikamaru seems to be right about this being an alternate dimension." Just as she was saying that she sensed some unusual chakra movement in a certain direction. By this time the others had already grouped themselves into 3 boxes so they can deal with any enemy together.

Hinata immediately pointed in a particular direction and said "The chakra is unstable over there on that box." As she said that and everyone turned to look in the direction of the pointed box, they saw Tobi in his iconic Orange mask appear out of thin air.

As Tobi stood on the box, he looked at the wary leaf shinobis ready to attack and said in a goofy voice "Welcome to my humble aboard…I hope the travel wasn't too harsh on any of you."

Kiba seemed to be a little agitated by that goofy and playful voice of Tobi's so he shouted "Get us out of here…and fight us face to face. Why have you brought us here?" He wasn't going to stop for an answer from Tobi so he just bared his fangs and with his hands which had now turned claw-like, he jumped toward Tobi.

"KIBA STOP" Ino shouted but Kiba wasn't one to listen to reason in such instances. He hardly crossed the distance of one box between his team and Tobi but then a box appeared out of thin air and slammed Kiba's head on making him fly back to his team at a great pace. Asuma immediately stood behind Kiba and caught the flying idiot.

Arghh...

Kiba groaned as he landed back on the box but was now in a slightly injured state. He saw that the box was sturdy and fast enough to push him back and after that, it just slowly lowered down becoming one of the floor boxes.

Tobi shook his head and said "You are currently in my space and I have complete control over it so don't even try…hehe or you might hurt yourself like the doggy boy did."

Choji helped Kiba stand back up and said "Are you alright? That seemed like quite a strong hit."

Kiba stood up glaring at Tobi and said "Yes it was but it felt like its aim was only to stop me or else it could have seriously injured me if it wanted."

Listening to this Tobi quickly interrupted their conversation and said "Of course, I wouldn't hurt you. You are my guests here so please feel free to roam freely. You all are way more useful to me alive rather than dead."

"What do you want from us? Why do you intend to keep us alive?" Kurenai asked Tobi. She was a bit relieved listening to the fact that Tobi didn't want to kill them but she couldn't just trust the words of an Akatsuki member. None of the leaf shinobis were that naïve.

Tobi acted like he was thinking by massaging his chin and then pointed at Akamaru "I need that dog for now."

"What? Akamaru? I'd rather die than let you touch him." Kiba said putting himself in front of his partner. Akamaru also barked at Tobi. Everyone else was confused as to why Tobi would even need Akamaru. It wasn't like he was something special.

Tobi waved his hand and said "Don't worry he will be a sign that you all are my hostages. Currently, I am not pissed enough at that kid to just kill a ninja dog."

"Pissed enough at whom?" Shikamaru quickly noticed the new piece of information in Tobi's words and asked.

"That little monster Yami Uchiha…he has already caused us more than enough damage and even managed to sever my arm." Tobi said as he pressed his shoulder which was missing the arm.

The leaf shinobis suddenly felt a feeling of relief that Yami was at the hidden sand and he had given a considerable blow to the Akatsuki.

Tobi looked at the relieved faces of the leaf shinobis but didn't lose his temper. He just looked at the Asuma and Kurenai and said "Either you hand over the dog or I will have to take the Hyuga girl's eyes as a token of proof for your kidnapping." Tobi just shrugged casually as he said that but Hinata broke into cold sweat as she heard it. She almost lost all strength in her legs and was about to plop down on the floor but Ino didn't let that happen and brought her back to her feet.

Hinata was horrified even imagining her eyes being removed from her socket. She was almost in tears when Akamaru looked at Kiba and barked twice.

Kiba looked at his precious dog with a worried face and said "What are you saying Akarmaru? How can I just hand over you to him? I'd rather go myself."

Tobi was enjoying seeing all this. In reality, he didn't need any of them as proof as his words would be taken seriously enough by the Akatsuki or any of the Shinobis' belongings would do the trick but he was enjoying this mental torture. He wanted to make them suffer.

"So what decision have you made?" Tobi asked to which Hinata got on her knees and hugged Akamaru and started crying.

"N-No Akamaru…I can't let y-you do that for me." Hinata said sobbing.

Akamaru made some soft noises while being hugged by her but he pulled himself out from the hug and leaped toward Tobi.

"Ohhhh…sacrifice…what a foolish endeavor…hehe" Tobi said reminding himself of the time someone he cared sacrificed herself for others.

Before Kiba or anyone else could do anything, Tobi and Akamaru disappeared from the Kamui dimension.

"NOOOOO" Kiba Shouted but Akamaru wasn't there to listen to his scream.
